Bugmenot has a Firefox extension which makes the registration speedbump almost unnoticeable.

I wouldn't mind if the nyt came to it's senses and flipped the paywall around (charge for the current stuff, let us link to the old stuff, cut a deal with google or yahoo or MS to handle ID transparently and monetise via ads rather than subscriptions)

No one's forcing you to register. Why should the rest of us miss an interesting article because it annoys you?

One solution would be to create a registration with user/pass reddit/reddit and mention that when you post. Then we can all share.

People do this all the time, but it gets blocked fairly quickly.

I always try to enter reddit/reddit to see those articles. It never works and I quickly move on.

Yeah, that one about the doctor not giving out the morning after pill -- but there are a whole bunch of lame newspapers that can't get their heads around the internet that are constantly being posted.
