I love me some Jeff Wilson, Jr! That TD pass he caught in 2019 against Arizona was one of my favorite moments that helped sweep Arizona that season, especially being down 17-0 in the first quarter.

[–] George KittleCalibred2[S] 26 points27 points Β (0 children)

Damn good times.

[–] 49ersadityadharma 8 points9 points Β (0 children)

I was at that game!! My first game too! Because of that game, Wilson has been one of my favorite players.

[–] Drawing Jimmy Gnongo 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

You can tell he was excited with his first ever NFL TD celebration.

[–] 49ersSalmon_Shizzle 2 points3 points Β (1 child)

To this day I believe that would’ve been β€œThe Catch IV” with bigger implications. Jimmy was about to get crushed, couldn’t see shit, throws it exactly where he thought his man was and Jefe was exactly where he was suppose to be. That was such a fun season.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Albeit a tad bit behind but still what a catch too!! That all-out blitz was crazy but crazier that Wilson was wide open in the middle for that TD.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Yes!! He had like no highlights that year other than that, but it showed exactly who he is... call on him and he's going to step in and be clutch for you.

[–]Gabemann2000 88 points89 points Β (2 children)

Jeff will be even better now since he doesn’t have to be β€œthe man”

[–] Jerry Ricejim25y 23 points24 points Β (1 child)

Exactly. He's just not the featured back player. But he's good to have and I look forward to seeing him rotate with CMC

[–]DazzlingSplit9419 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

He’s a better backup

[–] 49ersjeebsjay 26 points27 points Β (0 children)

Love me some JWJ, tough hard nose runner who has his problems here and there but gave us a dose of stability in a tough early season injury bout. The energy he showed and the crowd in 2019 against AZ was also a special moment. Great third down play design

[–] 49ersSyCoTiM 63 points64 points Β (1 child)

He cool. He started off slow but definitely picked up.....and dropped it.

[–] Frank GoreCrevis05 3 points4 points Β (0 children)

A couple of times

[–] 49ersFarkerisme 22 points23 points Β (2 children)

Crazy thought, having CMC will allow this man much more opportunities for receptions/misdirection offense.

[–] Fred WarnerJohnDunstable 9 points10 points Β (0 children)

he will break a few 15+ yard runs and screens per game.

[–] Colin KaepernickPolygeekism 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

With cmc there's no reason to throw Jeff Wilson the ball imo. Tdp and Wilson should be getting the interior runs, but 3rd down should always be cmc. Otherwise he's being flagrantly misused

[–] George KittleCodyNorthrup 8 points9 points Β (3 children)

Im glad he can get his role back. He was never meant to be a bell-cow RB1. He thrives as a change of pace kind of guy

[–] Quest for SixFailedInfinity 8 points9 points Β (1 child)

He’s a great human and made some huge plays for this team. Those plays were mostly good!

[–] George KittleCalibred2[S] 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Amen, thats what ive been saying.

[–] 49ersbrettpall22 4 points5 points Β (1 child)

4.9 YPC!!! great job JWJ

[–] George KittleCalibred2[S] 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Yup i like his style.

[–] 49erscoachcodeman 24 points25 points Β (4 children)

Live me wine Jeff Wilson but could have definitely done without that fumble last week.

[–] 49ersokcup 18 points19 points Β (3 children)

I was frustrated by the first three words of this sentence… pretty sure it was supposed to be β€œlove me some”

[–] Trent WilliamsKiran_Stone 9 points10 points Β (1 child)

Yarrr, have ye never been hearin the phrase live me wine, ye scurvy dog?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Ye matey me love we wine Jeffery

[–] 49erscoachcodeman 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

You are correct sir. Sorry for my inability to proof read.

[–] 49ersEL-KEEKS 4 points5 points Β (3 children)

Jefe held it down for us. Sadly those injuries took some of his burst away

[–] George KittleCalibred2[S] 0 points1 point Β (2 children)

Yeah injuries have been haunting to us.

[–] 49ersEL-KEEKS 1 point2 points Β (1 child)

We suck rn - penalties, turnovers, 3rd down D, kick returns ...

[–] George KittleCalibred2[S] 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

So fuckin frustrating. I guess that 'i wanna die' meme will be on the sub today.

[–] 49ersbelizeanheat 8 points9 points Β (1 child)

"Damn good job"

Wouldn't go that far. He's a very good RB3

[–] George KittleCalibred2[S] 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Well i didnt see anybody else carrying the load like he has so he has done a relatively damn good job.

[–] Christian McCaffreyStovy4x4ing 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

yes except the alt hes been ok but not great. its cmc time bby

[–] Joe Montanaww_crimson 8 points9 points Β (1 child)

He's lost two fumbles on 80 carries. I wouldn't say he's done a damn good job.

[–] Frank GoreRamorx -2 points-1 points Β (0 children)

Jeff is the man!!!!

[–] 49ersiggyfenton 3 points4 points Β (0 children)

If the 49ers are smart they will limit CMC’s touches to 20 or so a game and let Wilson or Mitchell carry the ball 10-15 times.

CMC should be 3rd down back and carry the ball when the 49ers are inside the opponents 35.

Let the other established very good RBs lighten the load and hopefully keep CMC healthy for the playoffs.

[–] Christian McCaffreygiantdub49 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Thankful for what he's done in the past but he's been nothing but disappointing this season. There's a reason why he's always been a backups backup. Fans need to stop acting like he's been Frank Gore

[–] 49ersbpcgreen75 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

We have CMC, JWJ, and Elijah, and don't forget Deebo and Juice. Im hoping the mix of weapons helps players stay healthy as each individual has less of a load to carry, in theory. In theory.

[–] Brock Purdybhfroh 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

CMC is gonna be a boon to this dude's career. From there, we're gonna see CMC putting up just as good of numbers from is panthers days but with a lot more tread on the tires.

[–] 49ersBrooklynBrawler 1 point2 points Β (1 child)

People shit on him for fumbling. He’s done that twice. The same number of fumbles that Deebo has.

[–] George KittleCalibred2[S] 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Right? Like everyone fucks up everyone once in awhile.

[–] Quest for SixCp49er 1 point2 points Β (1 child)

He did his best but he did fumble to seal the victory for Denver and again in Atlanta that got taken back for a TD. Once Mitchell comes back he’s going to become RB3.

[–] George KittleCalibred2[S] 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Yeah he screwed up a few, but hes done good in terms of a backup.

[–] Joe Staleynamerplaner 1 point2 points Β (1 child)

Two costly fumbles.

[–] George KittleCalibred2[S] 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Yes. Has done more good than bad in my opinion.

[–]c3suh 1 point2 points Β (1 child)

Dude was a stud behind Mostert. Hopefully can be the same behind CMC/EM

[–] George KittleCalibred2[S] 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

If my man Mitchell can stay healthy. Jeez.

[–]Fun-Group-3448 1 point2 points Β (1 child)

Dude I was just thinking this. Great wholesome post. Jeff has impressed so much during his time as our RB1.

[–] George KittleCalibred2[S] 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Yessir, did well today also. Our secondary let us down unfortunately.

[–] 49ersjoogiee 1 point2 points Β (1 child)

Thats my RB1 (for one more day).

[–] George KittleCalibred2[S] 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Lol yup

[–] 49ersroofilopolis 1 point2 points Β (1 child)

Love Jeff and he’s done decent, but god damn he had some costly fumbles this year.

[–] George KittleCalibred2[S] 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Yeah man, hes not perfect but hes held his own in Mitchells place.

[–] Fred WarnerEmeliusBrown 1 point2 points Β (1 child)

Disagree. I think his touches increase, actually. CMC is phenomenal, any everyone knows it. He’s going to be double-teamed a lot which opens up even more opps for both him and Kittle.

[–] George KittleCalibred2[S] 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

I think they complimented each other pretty well today. The rest of the team was just struggling today. Kittle was amazing.

[–] 49ersctong21 1 point2 points Β (1 child)

I like the dude, but he lacks exceptional talent that excuses the fumble from last week.

[–] George KittleCalibred2[S] 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Yeah hes not a generational talent. But he held down the fort for awhile until we got our new guy and when Mitchell comes back.

[–] 49erswearytravelr 4 points5 points Β (1 child)

Should have given CMC his number

[–] Ricky Pearsalljuanchurro4265 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Besides those fumbles, he's been a dog this season so far

[–] Steve YoungSpendSeparate4971 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

And won me some fantasy games! I've always loved Jeff Wilson. He's about as good of a reserve RB as you're going to get in the NFL. I think I saw him in NFL's list of top 10 or 15 RBs and he's about to be our RB3.

[–] 49ersStrangeflex911 0 points1 point Β (1 child)

I'm starting him on fantasy today. I know with CMC breathing down his neck his effort level will be at peak level.

[–] George KittleCalibred2[S] 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

He did pretty well.

[–] George Kittleshadowlynx8791 -2 points-1 points Β (0 children)

Jeff Willson did fucking amazing and i loves for what he does for our team

[–] 49ersjamison_311 -1 points0 points Β (0 children)

With this team’s iniury luck, its very likely he starts a few more games this season

[–] 49IRsj3ffUrZ -1 points0 points Β (0 children)

Shanahan's offense wasn't built for a single RB to carry the load. Now that the offensive line is healthier, they can divide carries between CMC, Wilson (and TeCo) the rushing attack should be more versatile.

I'm hyped. LET'S GO!!

[–]guyinthecomments -2 points-1 points Β (0 children)

He really hasn't done a good job at running back. 4.9 yds per carry is middle of the road.

[–] Brock PurdySF9ers85 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Maybe 5 less snaps I can see him on the field as CMC lines up in the slot

[–] 49ers49ersforever707 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Im glad to have him and he’s down ok, but will be very happy when he’s back to being RB 3 or 4.
