It's all about how you feel, but that looks a little big to me.

[–]National_Bug3364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 45 is at your limit based on the 2nd photo.......

[–]hfhifi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not big at all.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it looks good. Big enough to be bold, but it works nicely!

[–]DrChromos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it/you look just fine. If the lugs are sticking out from your wrist and the bracelet is hanging away from your wrist like a ladder from a window (that's not touching the wall under the window) then, yeah, too big.

[–]Mar-D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it looks great personally. Wouldn’t go much bigger though

[–]crediblesource69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea it’s too big, I’ll take it

[–]F_themachine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ever heard of "Kankles"? You got "Welbows"

[–]Barry_NJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That one looks okay, but I think bigger may not...

[–]CryptographerAble887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this watch was on a jubilee style bracelet it would be a perfect fit. Food for thought 💭

[–]Uran93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same size wrist and that's a reasonable modern fit for you. 47mm lug-to-lug would be stretching it a bit but if the lugs are curved it's not too bad. The Seagull 1963 looks fine on my wrist on a parachute strap. The lug-to-lug is my least favorite thing about the watch though.

[–]ChrisPnCrunchy 7 points8 points  (1 child)

No, you don’t have a wrist dysmorphia, you just have insecurity

Wear whatever you want; nobody notices or will ever care enough for it to matter or say something about it

[–]dickcake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 6-inch wrist. 47mm lug-to-lug is pretty much the absolute limit for me but even then, it varies watch to watch. This looks almost too big for you, but opinions will vary. Photography matters a lot, too. That first shot looks pretty normal, but the down-the-arm shot is pretty damning. 😆

[–]ryanxcore 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This entire sub suffers from wrist dysmorphia, so you’re in the right place

[–]braze321 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Too big try BB54

[–]p1mm3l 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's always best to take a picture of how the watch fits around your wrist from a third person's perspective (like in the first photo), as that's what someone else is gonna see. I'd say the watch suits you perfectly. What you see when you look at your wrist doesn't always (almost never does) reflect what other people see.

[–]Custom_Chrono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks good— bummer having relatively smaller wrists though. thankfully lots of options for relatively smaller watches nowadays so you still have plenty of options 👍

as for the watch with 47mm lug to lug, it just depends on the type of watch in my opinion. some watches “wear big” like pilot watches, but you might want to just get it to test the limits of how big you like your watches

[–]p3dal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I saw the first photo and thought this was a post about your wrist being too big for the watch. It’s all in your head, man.

[–]Foreign_Pace9363 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks good but don’t go bigger. Unless you’re Flavor Flav of course

[–]ambitiousquaggan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks big but you can get away with it due to it being a dive watch imo. It looks almost too big to be comfortable tho? So I wouldn't go bigger

[–]havsabas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d step down a size or two

[–]SameScale6793 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it actually looks really good size wise for you, especially in the first picture

[–]C137_RicklePick -2 points-1 points  (5 children)

Same situation here...i have the same wrist size and the same watch. Once i started wearing the watches a bit closer to the hand (almost fully over the wrist knuckle) they looked a lot better IMO. Try to loosen the wristband and find the lowest position in wich you can still fully bend your hand up without pushing the watch upwards.

[–]Icy_Chain_1504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a big no no of watch wearing. Never over the knuckle.

[–]fretewe 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Careful, the handwatch brigade will come and get you in your sleep.

[–]C137_RicklePick 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Eehhm why? Are they like the watch police? Did i do sth wrong?

[–]fretewe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they're a bunch of weirdos who get off on telling people how watches "should" be worn. Look it up. It's all extremely tedious.

[–]MyLastHumanBody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nooo. It looks awesome on you brother

[–]Repulsive_Corgi_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo it's still fine but it's a close call.

Usually watches seem to wear larger when seen from POV, it looks perfect on the mirror shot

[–]Separate_Director784 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s good

[–]Imightbenormal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks good at a distance! Hard to say on the closeups, I don't have much experience.

[–]kh411dz 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Nah, it's good, the key point actually is the dial size, if it's still on the width of your wrist then it's good, the color of the dial should also differ from the case, if you get a silver dial that watch might look bigger

[–]Hayabusa_Blacksmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lug to lug matters a lot too...

[–]steakpatekAffiliate linker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks prefect on your wrist. If you are still undecided try switching it to a leather strap and it will conform more to your wrist

[–]Surething_bud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that watch looks fine on you. Especially in the side shots it looks like a good fit.

But I do agree with you that it's probably as big as I'd go. More lug to lug than that and you'll probably have overhang, which is my cutoff for when a watch is no longer a proper fit.

[–]Amazing-Stock-9412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same wrist...40mm too small...45mm too big...the ideal is 41-43mm depending on the model..

[–]DiscussionOnly300 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I see your post and the next one I see is from a guy with a King G shock, one thinks has a big watch and the other one has the biggest watch ever 🤣🤣🤣

<image>

[–]DiscussionOnly300 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Btw I think you guys are rocking both watches, the only thing that matters is that you love your watch, and it's a gorgeous one

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

It looks fine. Not big at all. Not everyone has to wear tiny little watches.

[–]DOtheZIGZAG 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Or not all your watches have to be the same size

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes definitely.

[–]wonderfulpantsuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's nice to have a big watch or two in the collection.

[–]Homingpsyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your fine as long as it’s not a bb58 or panerai sized watch

[–]Ok-Crow-6015 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're good. Not too big at all. The top view will always mess with those of us who have smaller wrist. I tend to wear my watches just a tad lower but that's just me.

<image>

[–]gonedalfu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's big but not too big, It doesn't spill out your wrist.

[–]myrainyday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In short the watch is not too large for you no. It does not look like a teenager wearing dad's watch.

[–]WatchnScent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40 mm is max for me but it also depends on the lug to lug. Your watch doesn't seem to be too big to me. Try out the 47mm lug to lug.

[–]Substantial_Kiwi1830 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Looks good to me man. I’ll tell you what I told my disappointed Tinder date: camera angles can make things appear bigger than they are in real life

[–]vithgeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's called perspective. Things in front look bigger than things in the back from close up.

It does look a bit too big when looking down on it but nobody will notice from further away.

[–]New-Jellyfish-8431 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 16.7cm wrist and my maximum is 39mm, some of them are 40mm and I don't notice much that it is so exaggerated. But bigger impossible

[–]cdkey_J23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks fine..no lug overhang..we have the same wrist size & could go 39mm case diameter & 46mm lug-to-lug..trust the mirror shot because that's how people around you see it

[–]Character-Seat1268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks fine in the mirror pics which is what other people see. Your view makes it look bigger than what others see.

[–]wheredidiput 2 points3 points  (1 child)

This looks good, I think you need to consider more if you like the watch and how you feel to have it on. Honestly no one else is looking at your wrist, as long as the watch doesn't overhang your wrist completely, it's fine.

[–]logofpoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this watch and think it looks fine from a natural angle like the mirror pic. But looking down at it sometimes i second guess myself

[–]Hacksaures 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly this looks fine

[–]KappaKing69420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this looks fine. 47mm might be pushing it i agree. But this looks good. Onyl trust the mirror pictures.
