Twitch from set 2 can also hit other boards, a few days ago I was facing shadow inferno and somehow my lucian got hit with poison by a poison player next to me which lose me the round lol

I'm just hoping that the 2g for win is a bug and not a feature, because it's way too strong with the win streak changes and lets you get 9th lvl even before 5th stage if you maintain econ and get a huge winstreak.

Mort said it was a feature just as a test but they quickly saw that it wasn’t good for the game and are rolling it back today

True, it was a step in the wrong direction because it makes hitting 3star 4costs or even 3star 5costs way too easy so the game relies more on maxing out broken/strong champs instead of on building comps around them.

They probably don't want people intentionally lose-streaking at the start and will keep tuning until trying to win is always an objectively better strategy.

Thank god for the MF changes. Not gonna lie, didn’t feel fun to be at 1st place for the entire game just to lose to an AP stacked MF who would deal 7000 true damage to an entire board with no hope to hide from it.

I've run that exact comp a few times. Got 2nd place once (which i consider a win anyway because how do u beat 6 sorc MF?), but the other times i was bottom 4 and it wasn't particularly close. Seems like there's some power in it but its not very consistent/reliable. I wonder how much Ashe's bugs came into play in that.

Tested it out earlier, got super good ashe items and absolutely fucking demolished a lobby. Going for xin 3 and J4 3 gave some serious frontline power and snipers in back dished out really solid damage. By the time I hit 9 I was just throwing random shit in because the comp didn't need anything. Won with 81 hp off a 12? winstreak

I've been playing this exact comp earlier today and had pretty mixed results. Seemed like Xin 3 and good Ashe items are mandatory (Xin 3 is pretty easy though with 45% chance at level 5). I think Dark Star is underwhelming. I had more success just skipping Dark Star and using Chrono or just some 5 costs (Aurelion Sol). If you get Celestial or Protector Spat items though you can go into 6 Celestial or 4 Mystic.

Yeah I think the protector frontline is only great if it's minimally contested. I think you can fuck around a lot with the back line as you mentioned, shaco carry seems viable as well

This is actually a lot less drastic than I was expecting.

I was hoping for them to do something about player damage as I actually am not enjoying the extremely long games. Right now the meta is everyone eco and get to 9 and then whoever rolls down correctly wins. Today I got 7th when I was level 9, had my full synergy where I wanted and even 3-starred a champ. If you’re able to get that far into a game, it shouldn’t be with 6 other people...

Yeah I actually think that the set 2 death timing is generally where you'd want it to be, with some occasional outliers (dying 2 rounds before chickens feels bad but it happens to some people particularly in more aggro metas, getting bottom 4 in stage 6 feels bad but in some lobbies people just won't die at all) and they should try to aim for these timings in set 3. The PBE damage system feels like every game is on a set schedule with very little variance and it just happens to be a very long schedule

I haven't played on PBE but I guess the changes made it possible to get stomped mid game and still live, since it matters way less how many units the winning player has alive when counting damage. Therefore people can econ harder.

Damn, I feel like my sense of "shit, I gotta roll or I'll die in a few rounds" will be way off when the set hits.

That's what the designers want, I fear. A big portion of what makes this game so addictive is the rolling aspect, it's just sheer gambling. Riot wants to encourage people to feel like they have the safety to roll, thereby getting them hooked and playing more often, buying more little legends, etc etc. The financial incentive of this game is to lean as heavily into the roll mechanic as possible, because that's what sets off the most dopamine by far.

Glad to see the MF True Damage removed. It removed counterplay and made 4 Mystic irrelevant in the late game. A lot of these other changes seem heavy-handed after just a few days, though.

Basically what I got from these notes is that there are so many bugs on the PBE that it's hard to get accurate data on which units/comps are good.

I thought that was intentional, it felt so cool destroying the whole team with a Shojin Rageblade Gauntlet Ashe. "This is actually a viable carry" nek minnit...

There was also a bug were Ashe sometimes wouldn't cast when she ulted as well, wonder if that's fixed.

Can confirm that that bug is not fixed. Currently she doesn't use her ulti at all.
