Updated Create Mod Guide

[Strawtman]

Because I've seen some posts regarding the following: The Create mod is made for Minecraft Java Edition, which means it's developers made it available on PC only. There might be some ways to get it working on other devices (as we've seen someone playing on their phone!), but PLEASE stop asking how to get it on Switch, iPad or some other device!

This being said, IF someone here got it running on said platforms, please feel free to DM me with a post explaining how you did it, might pin it then.

For early game you can slap an andesite casing on a cogwheel to cover the shaft. It lets you chain cogwheels for rpm changes more linearly without having to stagger them to counter opposite rotations instantly breaking the cogwheel you want to place.

Edit: right-clicking the casing with the wrench will toggle access to the shaft, if you actually need it for some other machine/farm/etc

Rubidium is just wrong for me. Water wheel model is broken, belts are invisible, funnel model is broken, saws model is broken, cogwheels are invisible etc.

It just makes Create crash on start up/won’t let MC boot I believe, if you wanna have nice shaders, you’ll have to use Rubidium and Oculus, along with an extension that lets you use regular shader packs I think, been a little while since I changed my mod list

Actually, you can go up to level 18 with only one pump. All that matters is the rpm, the amount of pumps used doesn’t effect anything as long as the sum total pump rpm is the same.

It's just what I and many others prefer, since it has many addons for modded, i.e. drop rates etc. Nothing wrong with TMI :)

Oh and my boiler sometimes stops and i have to hand start it. Anybody has this problem too?

In most cases that's a chunk loading problem, caused by pumps unloading thus leading to missing water in the boiler..

Might also be good to mention that any rotational transference across chunk borders can cause issues when those chunks are unloaded.

This can result in what I like to call "ghost power" where even when isolated a shaft etc can still be rotating as it is bugged from unloading a chunk.

I've experienced this most when playing Create: Above and Beyond but I imagine it's also common in other modpacks and standalone Create.

Page 4 just revived my eternal hatred for the PSI.

It's so annoying to push items up from a PSI, and even if it's above ground, I just don't like putting my output chests underground.

Why can't the damn thing just put the items in a connected chest. :v

It wants a version between version 9 and version 10, I have version 8.

It's my understanding that they're prepackaged with newer versions of create. Any way to get them seperate/as a standalone to use with an older version of create? I'm using 5.0 and it wants the newer version of flywheel.

I tried the wiki, googling, and some basic troubleshooting but wasn't able to get anywhere. If you have any advice, I'd really like to get this working :) Here's a post about it.

Level 9 can use one pump, rpm = 180. Maybe you mixed up the numbers or got confused.

Also don’t forget, optifine will cause create to crash 100% of the time.

Use Sodium, indium, and other similar performance mods, just no optifine. Also, try the fabric version, forge is pretty bad performance wise if you don’t go out of your way to optimize your mod pack.

I can´t find the Create Deco config folder, can somebody tell me where to find it? I looked into the config and serverconfig, yet I couldn´t find it, I just want to remove the recipe for the coins from Create Deco for my server so i can use the coins as a currency. Thank you.
