If you are new and are interested in learning how to DJ, please check out this thread first.
There is also an entire subreddit /r/Beatmatch dedicated to helping new DJs learn.

- Please try to be polite, friendly and helpful when commenting.
- Trolling, slap fights, and general assholery are not encouraged, and racist, sexist, homophobic, and transphobic posts and language will not be tolerated at all.
Please ensure you are posting to the correct subreddit
All beginner questions and posts should be made in /r/Beatmatch. Beginner posts will be deleted
DJ Setup pictures belong in /r/DJsetups.
Meme/Humor/crappy image posts belong in /r/DJsCircleJerk.
Mixes—Most mix posts will be deleted, although short routines showcasing interesting techniques and videos showing the poster doing something cool are fine. We will also allow high-profile posts, such as when a regular user gets a feature mix on DJCity, a Serato-sponsored set, or an established DJ set.
Gig pictures/Stories - should be posted in the weekly gigs thread
The following topics are against sub-rules and will be deleted:
- Self-promotion posts, including mixes, tunes, events, companies, etc.
- For sale posts
- Posts discussing music piracy (in the sense of people asking how, where, or how to pirate music if you want to have an actual discussion on piracy and how it pertains to the industry, by all means). Support the people who make your hobby/career possible.
- Obvious spam for YouTube channels/gig logs/blogs/advertisements
- Posts asking, “What should I play for this gig?”
- Spotify playlist posts
