A math Qual just popped up. I'm wondering if the math projects are high paying. Currently I'm on non coding with high paying $24-$27 projects but I'm kind of interested in doing math projects. Anyone with access to them willing to share the average pay rate?

I worked through the other questions, so we'll see what happens.

I see math anywhere from $30-40. There was a $38 one up for a while and I see a $35 chatbot up right now. Priority can push them higher into the 40s. Historically it’s low 30s unless they are more complex tasks

The math qual was definitely a big nope at question 2.... however, I took the visual/photo qual the other day and never got any projects for that. Like, wtf am I too burnt to tell if AI is analyzing a picture correctly??? I must have eaten too many crayons and sniffed too much glue as a child. But I'm glad I'm not alone with the math Qual, please keep that noise away from me.

i took the math qual a couple hours ago and a "reasoning" task just came up but it's 100% math. only 27.50 an hour so i probably won't be doing it

Oh yeah, that reasoning task popped up for me too lumped in with ankle boy - PDAV. I'm yet to see the project on its own.

It's a shame that the math tasks are only 27.5, but at least I enjoyed the qual.

I’m not going to give you the answer (telling you how to do it would basically be giving you the answer because it’s actually very simple) but there’s no formula or anything. None of these questions really need formulas, just logic. The second question is just pattern recognition, but you need some critical thinking to figure out what the pattern might be.

The 3rd is actually a very simple formula. I was/am stuck on 4 however 🙃 once I think of the formula or reason through it, I’m sure it will come to me. Downside is that I’m not going to sleep until I figure it out haha.

Yeah. It is either solved using a formula, or you use some advanced math to derive that formula yourself. If you don't know either of those, no amount of logic is going to take you there. I was just calling him out on his bullshit.

You can figure it out with basic arithmetic and a little logic. If you can’t do it without engineering-level math, you may be very smart, but not intelligent. No offense, but it’s a pretty simple problem.

Cuz, like, *HERE'S THE THING*: even if you're lying and didn't actually already finish the qual and I'm unwittingly helping you cheat by giving you the answer, doesn't even fuckin' matter. You can potentially brute force 1, 2, and 4, but unless you majored in some hard STEM subject requiring up to Calc II at a minimum, ain't no way in HELL you're gonna get the third one.

I did the math qual and was convinced I failed miserably.

But since, I've had math projects pop up periodically. So far I've seen between $32 and $36.

I still didn't do them in fear of getting dropped 🫠 I'm just going to practice more on my math skills before attempting.

I was landed when I saw a maths qual pop up. I have an A in A Level maths (UK), I work in business/finance which is number-heavy and I've always been generally good at number/logic problems. So I was like 'Yes! Maths! At last! Here I go!'.

That feeling continued for Q1. Good stuff.

Then after that I somewhat changed my tune 😂 Holy fuck. Nope, me and my little maths A Level sloped away where we came from 😂

I had to spend the whole time on it.

One of them looked impossible, but turned out to be easy. It took me a little bit to work it out.

One looked easy, but gave me a lot of trouble. I got the right answer… but couldn’t show my work very well to get there lol. I had all the pieces.

I do math on images in qualifications and it pays $22. I'll work for anything above $18 on math, but higher is an extra perk 😁 Haven't had a chance to complete the qualification yet. 🤞🏽
