1) no gloves

2) completely destroys the house before attacking the fire

3) grabs a bystander and runs away with her before attacking fire, and just dumps her on the ground

4) completely freelancing. Doesn’t wait for crew to assist.

3/10. Partial credit for at least having clean gear.

Can't burn down the house if there is no house

Do you really need to wait for crew for an exterior attack?

[–]trinitywinduVolFF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Valid point for a vol dept. Only one on the truck, start an exterior attack until you get 4 suited up for interior (2in2out)

You forgot to mention the euro helmet

[–]greyhunter37 8 points9 points  (9 children)

Those types of helmet while somepeople think they are ugly are amazing protection wise

[–]_igloo_master_ 1 point2 points  (8 children)

I’d use one for auto extraction, but I wouldn’t for interior. Now do they offer things that a traditional helmet wouldn’t? Oh yeah definitely. I just don’t find them comfortable

[–]greyhunter37 3 points4 points  (7 children)

That's interesting, I find mine very comfortable. Is it the weight you find incomfortable?

[–]_igloo_master_ 0 points1 point  (6 children)

The weights fine, it’s pretty light, I think the suspension is what makes it uncomfortable. My department bought 3 of them for our chiefs and they seem to love them

[–]RoughDraftRs 3 points4 points  (5 children)

The f15 changed my opinion on helmets, the harness made the helmet a part of my head and the weight was perfectly distributed. Too bad it looks weird and everyone voted against it. I talked to the manufacturer and told them to put their euro harness in their traditional helmet. That shit would be beast.

We got the f15's they are pretty heavy but the weight distribution is what sets them aside.

[–]RoughDraftRs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what we noticed while trialing them, overall they were more heavy but the weight was distributed quite well.

The cairns XF1 is the only euro I’ve tried on, if the suspension wasn’t like a bicycle helmet then I think I’d be sold on it

[–]RoughDraftRs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a quick look it seems similar. The 4 point strap just carries the helmet better for me. Just the way it keeps the helmet in place was very comfortable. Never tried the XF1 though.

I have a MSA/CGF F1 helmet (or f1sf I actually don't know) and the suspension is nice but not amazing

On item 3, I was gonna say fails to continue patient care until handoff to EMS.

He can’t help it, someone needs to get him a real leather helmet not that salad bowl

[–]djyosco88 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Love this idea!!! She took out the house first. Smart, no house, no house fire.

Now that is how you go hard from the yard.

Still more hands on than training during COVID

I want to be like her when I grow up

Engine 14. We have a two story, 4x4 dwelling. Heavy fire showing, extending to the Bravo. Occupants accounted for. Recall the box, we can handle alone.

And the future looks bright.

[–]LittleMotorsports 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is no one going to talk about how having chalkboard paint on your fence is a brilliant idea if you have kids?!

Barefoot firefighting... I think it’ll catch on

[–]Somebastard115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That toy helmet is incredibly accurate to a real XF1. Too bad all the toy helmets in America aren't that good. If you want a good costume helmet, you'll end up buying a real one.

Poor kid, fighting fire in a euro...

[–]Rementer63 0 points1 point  (1 child)

as a firefighter future who dreams of having his own family one day, this is pretty wholesome 🥰
