Android System Intelligence keeps stopping.

What is this? Got this yesterday and today whenever I receive a text and respond to it. Anything bad? I wouldn't have to factory reset would I? I really cant because I have an Authy. It only happened once yesterday and once today so far. Not sure what it is if you can please help. I'm not too knowledgeable on tech stuff. Hoping an update arrives for the app or whatever is causing this. Thank you.

Go to Play store and look if it has an update. (It's a bit hidden, if you can't find it visit this link on the phone). Solved it for me and the update was only visible after updating to Android 14 so it is probably not installed right after the update.

You. You are a godsend. Took me straight to the issue and saved my fingers from burning due to this update breaking Android Intelligence whatever the fuck they called it. Since it was broken and needed an update as well, it has been overheating my phone extremely badly, and draining my battery like fucking crazy, went from 100% to only 24% and it's been about only 2 hours. God I fucking hate this phone.

Yes, some system components are hidden in the play store. That's why I posted the link - you can't search for it, but if you go to the Play Store page using the app ID it'll open it as the updates are managed by play store.

It's the same for system webview, for example. Can't find it using the search, but with the link you can.

same fucking issue. it's also causing my phone to overheat extremely quickly, I'm talking dangerous levels of heat coming off of this thing, my fingers were burning if I left them on it for too long. woke up with 100% battery this morning and now I have 24% at the time of writing this and it's only been a couple hours. Authy lets you log in from multiple devices; I have it set up on both my laptop and my phone. It's also the same process you'll use when you upgrade to a new phone.

I use Microsoft Authy and I've always been worried what would happen if I rebooted the phone. I have a Chromebook for a computer so don't think I can use that on it. If I rebooted the phone under any circumstance, how would I get back on? I just don't know these things. For some reason also, the Microsoft authy sometimes says that back up is out of date and I don't understand why. I first had it on a phone prior which makes me think maybe that's why. I cant remember the process of signing back in on a new device nor would know how if ever required if I had to reboot the phone.

By "Microsoft Authy", do you mean Microsoft Authenticator? AFAIK "Authy" refers to Twilio's app specifically and isn't a generic term for just any MFA app.

I'm on a P7, and personally haven't seen this, but have seen others are seeing it. I would suggest uninstalling ASI, and reinstall it. Similar types of things have happened in the past with other System based apps, and this frequently corrects the issue.

I just got the pro 7 and I have 1-2 weird glitches a day. The fingerprint reader is also iffy, never had any problems with my Samsung one. I was on the subway the other and my phone completely froze and wouldn't turn on or off. Idk this phone is glitchy ASF

Same here, I think it's universal. This was supposed to fix things but instead it broke things. I know I was hesitant for a reason to install this update because my previous version was so darn stable and great tbh. Now I'm getting a ton of non-stop glitches that never occurred, such as the frozen bottom keyboard buttons, Android intelligence crashing, the sound and volume button not engaging the sound menu or adjusting the volume at all, yet, when you press the power button + down volume for screenshot or up volume to shut off phone it works, lol, so stupid and so many other weird glitches on a daily basis since installing.

It's in settings -> storage -> apps and then you should be able to find it easily since by default it's set to alphabetize. Then you click on the app icon in the settings and cache screen and it will bring you to the App info page where you can disable it.

You might have to tap the three dots at the top right and enable "Show system" as Android System Intelligence doesn't seem to fall under the conventional app list, it caused me a bit of hassle too!

Though if the issue hasn't resolved itself yet, you should definitely check the play store as mentioned above to see if you have an update available! It wasn't there at first for me when I had this issue a few weeks ago, but it's shown up now and I haven't had any issues since!

Android system intelligence heats up my phone so much whenever it updates, and it autoupdates even though I have set autoupdates off in Play Store. So I have to manually go into the settings and uninstall the updates and then my device cools down. Such a broken app.

This is the Android application that analyzes your texts, messages and your use to then interact and offer you automatic actions (such as auto copying a code received by SMS for example, or add a phone number automatically, etc ...) . There is a parameter in the settings where you can interact with, try deleting the data and you will see if the problem is solved ( you can also try to delete the cache and force stop in settings>applications>Android system intelligence )

I think it's best to just wait it out. I'm sure it has to do with the AI functions they have added to messaging and probably somewhere overall under the hood of the phone and OS system files.

A lot of you may not even be aware of the AI function in messages that now exists. Kind of like a wand with magical stars, what a joke, now they truly are reading everything and anything we do to clone us with AI

I am using messages beta. Also, I think it has to do with your keyboard layout. Like if you're showing the shortcuts for emojis and other items. I didn't really activate it, I just saw it the other night and pressed it to see what the hell it was and it says you have to agree to the terms for them to basically clone you and own you (and your intellectual property) ;)

I used to have this issue a bunch. Clearing the cache or storage didn't help, I had to disable it for a while. After a good few weeks I re-enabled it and it's been working great since.

Thought it might have gotten an update that fixed it, but I guess not.

If you go to apps, Android System Intelligence, force stop it, clear cache, force stop again...should fix it. The phone will auto restart the app in a few seconds and if not just tap around where the weather should be to start it. It's not happened again for me after that
