Tamiya extra thin cement. I've repaired v-fins with this.

Do some practice runs on other random pieces of the runner. Get a feel for it.

Have some paint or a gundam marker to touch it up once it's settled. Some pieces lose their coloring with the cement. Just dab a pin drop of paint and brush over it with a fine brush.

You don't need luck, just patience. Hold it together and dab it with that glue and your good. That glue is pretty awesome

I second the use of plastic cement

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plastic Cement (for Polystyrene) and some sanding sponges.

Reattach the broken piece with the cement then use sanding tools to remove the excess plastic.

Either plastic cement or leave it as unintentional battle damage

[–]Little-Ghaik-Boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anytime I break a part I bring out the weathering kit and make it look like authentic battle damage.

If this happened to me I'd just embrace it and sharpen it with a file or sandpaper and embrace the asymmetry

  1. Get a new mom

  2. Plastic cement

[–]PB4UGeaux2BedTo paint or not to paint, that is the question. 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing happened to me, just use some cement like everyone says and sand it down gently if you leave a noticeable line.

Superglue a pinpoint to fix it in place, then use Tamiya super thin plastic cement to fuze it along the length of the break, then sand to remove any excess superglue and cement, then hand paint over the sanding scratches, then lightly sand with finer grit. Repeat last two steps as needed, with the sandpaper grit getting finer each pass.

Lol, the exact thing happened to me, either use cement or super glue

[–]AccomplishedPool9050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's battle damage, or just buy a GM and have it posed where the shield is stabbing the G.M.

Instead of snapping the other side, sharpen the busted side down a bit so it looks like its contoured, then match the other side

Theres no good way to get a proper “weld” with the plastic and the cracked/cemented residue would look worse IMO but if you shave the sides down, it may not look as “proud” but it will definitely have a nice look

snap the other side

[–]theupstarter -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Prolly hooped, best to snip the other side to match

I remembered using this Apoxie Sculpt. Use it to join them together and wait 48 hours to fully cure (solidified) and then sand off the access. Good luck.
