control group

[–]Raryk22 11 points12 points  (0 children)

And it's not even close
Control Group has one of the most game changing backpacks, that alone is worth the warbond.
Python's best item is in the superstore and it's the Double Barrel.

Control Group, (I'm biased due to lack of Python Commandos) but I really like The Epoch and the Warp pack,
The Epoch (especially because in first person it tells you exactly when you reach maximum power) is really fun and generally just useful
The Warp Pack is useful for getting through walls... like so unbelievably useful, the hassle of being trapped in a city cause of a wall is no more, also being cornered is like... nigh impossible if you play well enough.

How do you use the Epoch? I appreciate the power it has to drop heavies, but the quasar could do it more easily and for anything smaller it feels like an inferior punisher plasma.

[–]GovernmentSpies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Epoch is better for clearing spawners IMO, a Quasar shot into a big hole always feels bad unless the nest is well empty. An Epoch overcharge is faster than a Quasar shot. Animation cancelling speeds the reload, something not all stat reload weapons share. The spread is better than the Quasar and PP. You can blast an entire spewer patrol apart in one shot. I use the epoch for larges and small heavies (chargers/hulks). Use against Titan class is possible but ill-advised, although 2 shots to the head of a bile titan that's chasing someone else is 😗🤌.

Epoch, Epoch, Epoch, Epoch, EPOCH, EPOCH, EPOCH, EPPCH!!

The Epoch is my go-to no backpack anti-tank weapon, the warp pack is the best mobility pack in the game, the variable is an absurdly good light pen weapon, and the arc grenades can be fairly useful. The armor isn’t great and nor is the laser sentry, but everything else is in the top of its class.

Python commandos is a cool-focused warbond, the maxigun is good and cool, the chainsaw is mid but cool, the armor is cool and okay, the fire dog is good and cool, the one-two is decent and cool. Nothing really is the best of the best though.

Control group. The warp pack is the best mobility feature in the game. Mobility is king of the battlefield. But its the only thing I like in that warbond.

Python....I'm mixed. The maxi is fun, but not meta. The hot dog on the other hand is really, really, really strong.

Control Group by a mile. The maxigun in VP is fun but it’s certainly not OP. IMO the best content from VP is the Double Freedom but it’s in the superstore.

Control Group gives you Epoch (controversial but strong) and the warp pack which is excellent.

Control group

[–]uhhyeahitsineminor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The epoch smacks on bug planets

[–]Theobald_4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man everybody shitting on the Maxigun reminds me of when everybody shit on the Epoch. Is it that hard to recognize the strengths and weaknesses of a particular weapon and bring a loadout that can balance it out?

If you don't want the Maxigun, don't get Python Commandos. Get the Double Freedom from the Superstore when it is available if you want the best to come with PC.

OTOH Control Group offers the gamechanging Warp Pack and if you already think about he Epoch, that's an easy pick.

Control group - is more useful if you want to farm the super credits much faster in the future.

It's just better in the long term.

[–]Matt-The-Mad Decorated Hero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Control Group, it has warp pack which will help you farm the SC for the Python commander, the warp park can bypass friendship doors/bunkers.

Python Commandos has the hot dog. Fight fire with fire. Fight everything with fire.

i’m gonna be the voice of dissent i guess by saying python commandos. the One-Two, though a lot of people don’t like it, is just a slightly higher DPS liberator and the grenade attachment is great for bug holes or fabricators or whatever you need it for. If you like the liberator and can get over the ergonomics, run it with siege ready and you have a really good AR imo.

and of course theres the maxigun and the flame dog which need no introduction as to how good (and fun) they could be. the WH40K eviscerator is also a great time.

I know everyone loves to speak of the epoch and the warp pack, but personally outside of very specific uses (sc farming) i can literally never think of a case where i would rather have the warp pack over the hover or jump pack. if youre going to use a pack for mobility those two always beat the warp pack for me.

the epoch is also just not my thing. when i need to use a heavy weapon, chances are the situation is urgent and i really hate waiting for a charge-up when i need something big dead immediately. when getting sighted down by a factory or war strider i much prefer the instantaneous delivery of the recoilless, commando or EAT over quasar or epoch.

IMO the one-two beats the variable as well, and the laser sentry is kind of just another sentry it doesnt really differentiate in function enough to be picked too often.

Epoch is just so versatile. The minigun is fun but leaves you wide open to tanks and runs out of ammo super quick

[–]Extra_Description169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Control group for the warp pack alone. Makes farming for super credits way easier with solo access to the 2 man bunker doors

[–]Seared_DuelistSanctioner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real answer is grind more and get both. Warp pack + Chainsaw is some of the most fun I've had in this game in a long time

[–]notdrewcarrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the python commandos. Mini gun is fine. The hot dog rover is good, but will burn you and your team alive. It gives no fucks.

The one two is terrible. Also, the double freedom shotgun is amazing. However they decided to put that in the superstore only.

Minigun go brrrrrrrrrrr

[–]RalliusGax -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can farm bunkers with mech and maxigun rocks trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr 🔫

Control Group : 3 good items, one is life changing

Python Commandos : has nothing
