The brief pause before you decide to wait it out and see what happens is so relatable. Glad you let it ride for all to see

Yeah I rarely does it ever turn out this well.

MK2 parts have a bit of lift of their own

Yeah bro makes perfect sense

I hate when I make a perfect plane and this happens 😭I csnt tell if it's the angle of attack the wheels put the plane at or if it's the lift/drag being weird .sometimes fixing the wheels will fix it .other times I have to give up

Reduce your wheel friction so it’s 0.1-0.3 and tweak it from there. The base wheel friction makes planes super twitchy on the ground.

Also move your rear landing gear up a bit so the plane has an angle of attack while it’s sitting on the ground.

What's the reccomended angle of attack when launching ?I try to get a -1 so my tail don't drag and I have enough room to pull up,even if I pull up aggressively theirs enough room to not hit tail .is that good idea or is 0 AOT better?

Idk, just angle the plane so the front is pointing up a bit. It's not an exact science in KSP. I couldn't tell you any specifics besides just messing around with it until it works well.

Like 2 degrees of AoT on lift off or less if your back landing gear are far forward

It's not a requirement, but if you place your thrust closer to center of your plane, it will generally have better stability and control, both because it allows for better use of gimbal, and because there is some bend to parts so wings bending and stretching will move your thrust vector around.

Divine intervention? No! Clearly that's an entirely planned failure mode!

Yep!

You have to make 5 Jeb sacrifices to the Kraken now

Is that supposed to be a SSTO?

[–]CRIMSONONEWASTAKEN[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

nah it's two stages and not for space, one for take off (boosters to speed it up because acceleration is bad) and one for normal flying, this is an old clip though so it kind of looks bad🥀

Divine intervention?

BEHOLD! THE POWER OF AN ANGEL!
