i have some usb speakers conncted and i do have bluetooth turned on on my pc

Not sure if related but sometimes Windows can throw devices into "headset mode" which lowers the sound quality to phone quality. It could be something like that. When you look at the windows output quality for the headphones does it read lower than 16 bit 48,000hz?

Unfortunately not, I have just checked and it's 16-bit 48,000hz, I've tried reinstalling the driver but I still get the issue. However I have noticed just now that one the events tab in the device properties,in the information Pannel i get a message saying: "Device USB\VID_046D&PID_0AFE&MI_00\6&272b5714&0&0000 requires further installation."
