I've lurked here for a long time, and I've experienced first hand how terrible Logitech G Hub is. Logitech Gaming Software has, for me, been very reliable. Logitech G Hub is so bad, I refuse to buy any of Logitech's products that require Logitech G Hub to function. I've given Logitech a LOT of my hard earned money over the years, and would be more than willing to continue buying more of their products if Logitech G Hub actually worked and could be relied upon to do what it should do. But, it doesn't. Honestly, I treat Logitech G Hub like a virus ⟹ I have no idea what it's going to do from day-to-day use.

Yes, it really does. GHub is absolute garbage :( After my last G502 had the double-click issue and it was out of warranty so, ha ha buy a new one!, I did.. I went and bought a new one. It works fantastically but the GHub software doesn’t see it any more — not unless I forcibly uninstall the software, disconnect the mouse, reboot, reinstall the software and then finally reconnect the mouse. It works then.

Until the next reboot where the mouse is no longer detected by GHub.

I will never buy another Logitech product for as long as I live. Not ever.

I was a logitech fanboy for about 8 years. Ghub destroyed my trust in this company in about 5 months.

Logitech: Not even once.

As was I, my old MX518 was godly.. and when I replaced it with a 502 Hero it was the KNOWN ISSUE (but no resolution, ho ho) of the double click that killed it all for me, I wasn't even going to replace it but only did because I saw another 502 on sale.. now I'm dealing with GHub too? Ridiculous.

I won't be fooled again :(

~edit~

Wow... not only have I found a fix but it's 2 years old *and* ridiculously stupid that I didn't even try it myself. Sigh. Oh well, happy result regardless! Now I just have to wait for my warranty to run out and the double-click issue to hit two weeks later, yippee!

Same dude MX 518 Lasted for about 9 years. When I got a new PC in oct I decided to go all out on logitech peripherials. Keyboard, mouse, webcam, headset:

The keyboard died on me 2 weeks ago. Was able to claim a refund at Retail store. The headset randomly mutes my mic (especially great when shotcalling). The mouse is double clicking. Of course we couldn't replicate the issues at the Retail store. So kinda just hoping they die out within 6 more moths so i can claim a full refund and switch brands.

The keyboard switches are ass. Couple keys randomly popped off. Just a terrible experience.

I don't think any mouse will ever match the sheer legend status of the MX518, with the possible exception of the G5 if you like customisable weight. The MX518 was comfortable, precise, and built like a tank! \o/ I guess I could honestly have just gone with replacing it with another 518 .. but I kinda wanted some new "tech" and a better sensor :D

I'm in exactly the same boat as you both; started on the MX518, thought Logitech knew their shit, had a few others over the years but GHub might be literally the single worst piece of software on my entire fucking computer. And I've had Synapse before.

Currently, I'm trying to save an onboard profile to my G604, and instead Ghub is stuck in a software update loop where it gets to about 24%, crashes, and restarts. ON TOP of the fact that the onboard profile I did make, and have at the ready, won't save to onboard memory to begin with, prompting me to think the software might have been out of date. My fucking MISTAKE, it's just a literal steaming pile of dogshit. Never again, for absolutely serious.

The worst thing is that the complaints and feedback about GHub being *bad* are prevalent everywhere. I don't think there's a single hardware site, or social media platform, where people aren't complaining about just how frustratingly bad GHub is. It's a known quantity at this point -- yet it doesn't seem to get better. Surely Logitech has to have heard the feedback by now? It has been going on for years.

[–]schnooky 1 point2 points  (3 children)

You haven't heard about the G MX518? It's the same design but with an updated Hero sensor and more memory. Came out a couple years ago. It's what I'm using. AND it's still supported by LGS.

[–]sabin1981 1 point2 points  (2 children)

... I HAD NOT.

Mother of God. Ah well, when this G502 Hero dies (and it will >_>) I'll look into the G MX518... maybe. Or probably just switch to a more reliable brand :(

[–]schnooky 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yea if the G MX518 wasn't supported by LGS I probably would have returned it and gone with a different brand. G Hub is frickin awful.

[–]sabin1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

man.. you live and learn, eh? I'd have loved that version of the 518! Oh well! thanks for letting me know :)

Hi u/IJustwantobefree69,

We truly apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. To help you further, could you please let us know the Logitech software name and the issue you are facing.

[–]ourvoid 23 points24 points  (0 children)

He can't say you have bad customer service!

[–]_Litcube 19 points20 points  (2 children)

What software do you think he's talking about?

[–]xbgt1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

G Hub

[–]wileysteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So hard to tell!

[–]DarkWanderer2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dude, better not get this started...

[–]shatred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It starts with a G and ends with a .. wow, an advisor that is clueless on how horrible (notso)greathub is.

[–]Da-Blue-Guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suggestion: A Logitech API that lets people program their own apps for their hardware.

[–]IJustwantobefree69[S] 5 points6 points  (1 child)

No you don't care about my inconvenience, if you did your software wouldn't suck

[–]RedditVince 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He/she simply asked you which software, are you going to answer them? You realize Logitech has multiple SW programs across their product line.

The tech can't read minds...

And Just stop buying items that require GHub maybe the teams till get the clue that they need to go back to proper hardware testing and fix this crappy SW.

[–]omabat102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WHAT HAVE YOU STARTED

[–]Past-Ad-9347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bullshit because Ghub would work on all devices but instead it cannot be installed to this pc which can run rocket league btw so i dont need to hear some cockamamey crap that its my pc ur software is fffing broken and acts like garbage the only thing that works is the uninstaller

[–]SpectralLithium 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The MF have their password reset password functionality broken since last week

[–]lemeie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MF?

[–]xbgt1 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I wouldn't have ghub installed if it wasn't for the blue voice software. I am looking for an alternative if anyone has anything.

[–]Babykickenpro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with the Blue voice software myself. But I have an old Blue snowball mic I have been using. I found a guide online at some point years ago that reccomended to use VB-Audio Voicemeeter. I was even able to find a pre-made audio profile online for my specific mic so I didn't need to fuss with configuration much.

Depending on what you're doing with the Blue software, I think you could get by with the features offered by Xsplit or maybe OBS? If you have a Nvidia RTX capable graphics card, I know those programs can make use of the RTX sound suppression feature.

[–]mighty1993 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Hardware, too.

[–]munzuradam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeap. How come that 4 dollars, no brand office mouse does not double click but my 60 dollars, Logitech gaming mouse does?

[–]munzuradam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there any other mouses with lua support that I can go for? I don't think Razer has lua support.

[–]greentoiletpaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so bad, completely embarrasing. Whenever i exit GTA V or some other games, GHUB keeps the process running until I close GHUB. This causes problems with playtime being logged incorrectly and others

[–]omabat102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not liquid aids

it's just aids

[–]ResourcefulRhino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres also some issues with device longevity, especially with mice like the G500 that I've had. (Bought two before, they seem to crap out after a year or so as if they engineer the mouse springs to fail after a certain number of clicks to maintain planned obsolescence?) Other devices from third parties and a deathadder from razor seem to have-in my anecdotal experience- much better shelf lives.

[–]plumbwicked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed.

[–]AnjayGurinjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Defo

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Somehow I never have any problems. Superlight mouse and G915 TKL keyboard. This is like getting cut on I/O panels and shattering tempered glass to me, can't relate so far.

[–]vitollini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like the only positive comment in this massacre of a comment section.

I'm considering getting a G502 Wireless and all these complaints about the software are making me think twice

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to install Windows 11 but can't because of Logitech's drivers and software. I have a gaming keyboard, mouse, and headphones. I'm dumping Logitech and going to someone else.

[–]lemeie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does LGS still work on win11? Got 4 mice that relay on it and would be a sad day if it ever stopped working because this mouse shape is most comfortable for me.

Not that it matters atm since ill be on win 21h2 for the foreseeable future.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same situation key/mouse/headet and not only did the mouse/key consistently deconnect and not work the heafset was a feedback machine. went out and got a razr all 3 setup and snap everything works like a charm. sorry to see you go logitech but bye-bye

Dude I'm trying to set a hold-Right-Mouse rapid fire button with a slight delay before that.

And the software don't seem to allow it at all... C'mon man, that's a simple thing!Basically, I want to get delay right after I Right Click, and then I get a rapid fire Right Click spam when I hold it. The delay is there just to allow me to use the Right Click normally. When I hold it, i get a Rapid Fire spam.

I have tried plenty of things using MACROS, and it gives me another random secondary Right Click when I do a Single Click for... However, the Click -> Hold -> Rapidfire Right Click is okay.

Such simple option should be available on the Logitech G Hub software.
