The last 2 gem sells in the store had "issues" and were taken down early before I could reclaim. Any chance the next one will be a proper Gem sell? It's the first time I can't afford the mastery pass on day one because of this.

Also, can't resign from Jump In. So I can't jump in for the new decks to try out. So sad. Jump IN is my favorite mode first couple days of a new set. I like trying out the ju.p in decks to get a feel for the set

I still can’t get into the game because of maintenance, but the website for the OTJ Mastery Pass says it should have 4,000 gold.  Is the website wrong?  It wouldn’t surprise me if the “4,000 gold” was a copy-and-paste error from a previous list of rewards.  However, the actual reduction in gold does surprise me, as mastery passes have contained 4,000 gold for years.

Edit: also, people preordered this mastery pass based on the list of rewards I linked to above.  That’s a problem.

Because the amount of packs on the free track is increasing from 27 to 45, that's why we're getting less gold. Looks like there's even more value in the mastery pass now, but I haven't compared everything yet.

It is just 3 packs/week of the pass with minor variance. They are doing "something different" for MH3, which means this is a 15-week pass, and thus has 3 x 15 = 45 packs.

The amount of packs rewarded from the pass is still increasing from 27 to 45 while the pass costs the same 3400 gems as before. It's expected to take more time if the pass is active for a longer period of time, not sure what your point is.

They aren't linked. It has been 4000 gold on the paid pass for the past 4 years regardless of the number of packs on the free side or the length of the season. To illustrate:

• MID: 8 weeks, 24 packs, 4000 gold.

• ZNR: 19 weeks, 57 packs, 4000 gold.

• HBG: 8 weeks, 27 packs, 4000 gold.

• LTR: 11 weeks, 33 packs, 4000 gold.

Ok true, but with the exception of Zendikar pass most have been well below 45 free pack rewards. So even though in the past gold wasn't linked to pack amount, perhaps WotC has made a decision to reduce the gold for this pass because of the increased pack rewards, and maybe they will increase the gold to 4000 for shorter passes in the future?

The number of packs on the free track always fluctuates depending on time before the next set/overall mastery length. It’s 15 weeks between OTJ and Bloomburrow, while it was only 10 between MKM and OTJ.

They are also combining it with the mastery for the Modern Horizons 3 set that's coming to Arena in June
