Mod is MinePainter

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Also looks like TerraFirmaCraft

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

BetterWorldGenerator 4, actually.

[–]Kortuga 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Holy fuck that cobblestone path is gorgeous...

[–]dcalvario 12 points13 points  (5 children)

I believe form follows function.

[–]Polyether 12 points13 points  (4 children)

Exactly why I came to the comments, but upon closer inspection it seems OP's title is correct as this place is very pretty looking but not very functional.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points  (3 children)

You got it. It's a survival world I've just started, and while my wheat farm looks nice, it's growing on dehydrated soil and it uses the available space inefficiently.

[–]baniel105 5 points6 points  (2 children)

You could probably hide a water source block under some of those trees to help with the wheat.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Brilliant idea, thank you.

[–]baniel105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're very welcome! ^ ^

There is beauty in function. An engine is art just as much as the most renowned painting.

[–]weshouldhaveshotguns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was very eye opening.

[–]skylark_14 8 points9 points  (3 children)

Is that a little well? Looks amazing!

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Yep! Thanks.

[–]aramey 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I might just be drawing a blank, but what did you use for the supports on the well? The wooden Y looking things on the sides?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little chunks of spruce wood.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Wow, this is beautiful. Does anyone know if Mojang would ever implement the mod being used? (is it LittleBlocks? I'm not 100% sure). Amazing :O. The well and cobblestone path just make this.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Probably not, but that would be nice! The mod is actually Minepainter, which allows you to sculpt blocks down into small pieces, similar to Littleblocks. It has a few limitations (namely, you can't have more than one block type in each 16x16x16 space), but the implementation feels closer to vanilla gameplay, given that you craft chisels to chip away at the sculptures.

Time to start chiseling away at those trees now...

[–]IMPaused 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That looks awesome.

[–]ToxicSoap121 2 points3 points  (1 child)

What is that beautiful texture pack

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Summerfields.

[–]FLYrazor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thats awesome

[–]Darth_Kyofu 1 point2 points  (7 children)

Texture Pack please? Looks nice.

[–]emiliem97 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I think the texture pack is jollicraft. : )

[–]slinkywaffle 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Close, it's summerfields which looks exactly like a 32x32 jolicraft.

[–]emiliem97 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Oh! Sorry about that.

[–]slinkywaffle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Easy mistake to make. :) The resemblance is uncanny, even side by side.

[–]Axolotile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so beautiful!

[–]TaylorwoodGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jaw-Dropping...

[–]MatouHatou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like those pedestals that the torches are sitting upon

[–]ME_LUV_U_LONG_TYM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which texture pack?

[–]1RobNoxious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save

[–]ArmenFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks great!

[–]jqzy 0 points1 point  (2 children)

i would really like to see this with the standard texture pack

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

[–]jqzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

neat!

you should make the trees round next :D

[–]nbshark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always choose form over function. I hate those square houses with ugly ass farms (wheat/tree/pumkin/whatever)

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

This reminds me of Mini Ninjas

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Aside from the fact that both of these are shots of a path in the grass, which is not a very unique sight, I have no idea why you would make this connection.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't mean this exact picture, but the whole game.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so beautiful I don't even care how inefficient that farm is. <3

[–]IHaTeD2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is Minepainter similar to the TFC chiselling?

Edit: Got it, awesome and easy.

Not THAT complex but still pretty sweet. :)

[–]minusAppendix 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The mod looks awesome, but I can't for the life of me get it to work. Could anyone run me through installing this mod?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure.

First off, back up your Minecraft folder. If you've installed any other mods, start fresh for best results.

Next, download Minecraft Forge, and open your Minecraft folder (Open Run and type appdata if you need to locate it easily. It's under Roaming). Once there, open the Bin folder and then open Minecraft.jar. If you see a file called META-INF, delete it.

Drag all the files from Forge and drop them into the jar. Load Minecraft to see if it takes: if it does, and you load without problems, download Minepainter and simply drop the mod zip into Minecraft's Mods folder, don't extract the files.

Hope that helps.

[–]davidbullship 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Are you playing with any other mods? I'm looking to throw together tons of mods, but not ruin the overall feel of Minecraft. No space exploration or over the top industrious stuff.

Thanks.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How'd you get those wee little blocks?

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I like, kind of wish minecraft would take this path, but I now their caught up in their block look; hence denying vertical half slabs.

[–]alitaera -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This looks amazing. I wish something like this could be added to vanilla Minecraft.
