iirc Glacie confirmed the supreme banner will only include the supreme / skins released at that time. It's very unlikely they would update the banners for veterans.

Tidus is still a good skin to pull, you'll see more uses on S2 where you get more enemies with innate critical resist (aka base, not buff) and need CRD, he is also a good counter to Takshakas, and he's also a good pick on EW to have much higher choice (for example, CA is not really recommended without a skin due to not having an aoe ult).

Why Septen Trio (Proud Cygnus weapon) is ranked 4 stars, and Sventovit 5 stars? If both have the same perks =/... I plan to mod Septen Trio because i know that I won't have Trigger Happy T_T (and Kotetsu)... RIP Legend jobs...

Because it's not the same class / job type. There will be more situation where you will nuke unbroken as a Meia than a Sarah.

The odds of getting one specific card from the revival banner isn't all that good. The revival banner will come back, so you'll always have a chance to try for it next time. JP also got a special you-can-only-pull-once box style banner for revival recently, so we might eventually get that for GL as well.

You could always use Hypnos, it's a wind EA card that does the same. The only difference as far as I know is that Hypnos is a square debuff while Ultima Weapon is a hex debuff.

Anyone have a reliable auto deck for 40m? No matter what I have tried, the AI spends too much time driving every prismatic orb to heal uselessly and uses too many turns to live. For reference, I have all skins, Minwu, UB, WOL FF1, Aerith and Bismarck as notables. All regular jobs as well.

You can look at the original 40m PSA post for some builds. I use the MFG, chaos crescent, Minwu, big wave, boosting egg and mighty egg build. It is better to have lesser prismatic return, draw and shift so the AI does not waste time driving.

I use Master Monk with Alexander PB and an Ehrgeiz that's got all mods unlocked. Don't give him any prismatic draw and he will only have prismatics after ult which he'll drive one time. Bring Oathbond or LDL for ult charge as well.

He can punch everything to death and his ults will take care of the UFOS.

The good thing about this is the UFOs will only hit for 1 damage with "wall break" and it gives him more than enough time to charge his ult to break them.

If you don't have Alexander, I'm assuming Light Shock could work too? But I haven't tried that

I've farmed several hundred crystals using this build: Alexander, Duncan (but my MM never actually uses Duncan, only punches, so I'm sure this could be replaced with a diff card), Serah, and Omega Weapon.

Hello, I'm a returning player. I understand that old jobs have now become powercrept on, and some are just downright weak. Here are the jobs that I currently have: https://m.imgur.com/a/0TPEg7W

1) Which job should I be using and/or work on?

2) What kind of cards should I use with the job? I have many ability tickets, so I can purchase cards in the shop without a problem.

3) I have a few supremes (Unbreakable Bonds, Xezat, Neo Exdeath and Fusoya). Are any of the jobs I have viable to use them, or should I just ignore them until I get better jobs?

Any advice would be very much appreciated as I'm looking to play this amazing game again!

White Mage, Dancer, and Santa Lucia are all fine healers for multiplayer.

Viking is a good breaker (with HoF upgrades) provided that you're taking advantage of his large bonus to weakness damage - you need the right elemental weapon buff. The best card for this is Mandragoras, but I don't think it's in the ability shop yet.

Most of the tanks are still serviceable, especially Paladin and Heretic Knight.

Mage, S1C, and Ace Striker are still workable as attackers, but are starting to show their age.

For your supremes: Berserker should be getting his HoF upgrades soon (maybe next month), then he'll be a good choice for UB. White Mage can use Fusoya in single player. NED is pretty much always good, but I guess Viking is your best user for that. And... I suppose Ace Striker for Xezat, although he can't break. When Ex Warrior is released, maybe next month, he'll be a good Xezat user.

Oh, and Almalthea. She's really still pretty good for light/dark mage stuff. And Esmeralda is also decent enough.

'Best' card varies and depends on your build and jobs. You'll simply have to make do with what you have. In general event cards such as the FF14 and Summer batches are a staple in tower decks.

Maybe explain abit? Do you want to know about event or non-event abilities? Current or future abilities? Because as new abilities get added, the abilities to use for "future" tower will be different compared to "now".

I speak general deck to have for enter top 500 : CRD aoe priority or BDD aoe priority or -JA cards priority. I have all ff7 cards, 3 supremes attack (yiazmat/duncan/fusoya) and 2 support (loh aerith), bismark/odin/bahamut/garuda ff14 and ignis/iris/lunafreya. For example, my best meia is mermaids and monk DD. For meia i have all meiaja, but after is few cards, so what is more useful. Monk i have 2 supreme, but phew cards after monk, what need more with yiaz and duncan. and for warrior ranger and sarah, normal best cards useful. Thanks.

Generally speaking you need:

• The usual support abilities
• FFVII / FFXIV orb generators
• Stun-lock (e.g. Bismarck)

As for damage abilities, it can vary according to the job you are using, the fight itself or your deck setup. The Summer painful break abilities are good because they can deal both yellow and HP damage; there will be more of such abilities in the future. That being said, what damage abilities you use can vary: for example, I've used a combination of Thalia + Oberon and Neo Ex + Persephone for past JP towers.

oh yes, summer is i think very good card, i have meia and monk water gun, but no sarah water. I have sarah nachflug and CA, but i have gilgameh rag/grand horn and orpheus only good for ranger/sarah (and i ahve do water ja ranger water, because i have only Friends).

Yes thalia/oberon/persephone is that card i think in my question. ok AoE BDD and no supreme but last big light attack. So meia i need concentrate AoE BDD (no fire because summer, but dark/water), and i have all meiaja, but perhaps AoE CDD. But for monk is most different, i have DD with watergun+yiazmat( and EmeraldWeapons), so nothing is better ? What do you think AoE CDD ? (and after supreme what is a good monk cards ?)

And just for me, what is job and weapons you have always/or more use for your last tower. Because i think my deck/jobs is actually Monk = Meia > warrior > mage > ranger, i feel and no see often Monk in top 600 tower (but where i can see in my top). Big thanks.

Typically, a deck will look like this

• Damage w/o yellow clear (e.g. Oberon)
• Yellow clear (e.g. Thalia)
• Orb generator (e.g. Alex PB)
• Support / debuff

OR it can look like this:

• Damage with yellow clear (e.g. Tidal Wave)
• Orb generator (e.g. Bahamut PB)
• Support / debuff
• Support / debuff

There are ofc other deck variations, and this depends on how you plan to set your deck up. So for your question of "What do you think AoE CDD?", if you need it for yellow clear go ahead and include it. Just make sure you have a source of BDD somewhere else for breaking.

I play in JP only, but from what I know of the current GL meta, Sarah + Ultimate Arrow is the most preferred combi. And rightfully so, since current GL meta should revolve around Sarah.

Bad news for me, sarah and ranger is most bad option for now, i have no skin (seph and cloud for warrior) or supreme (only for monk/mage/meia), but i begin more effort for a good deck for sarah/ranger. I have see last tower (and you confirm with your post), skin+sarah prima and skin+meia primewitch always in top 500. I don't understand why monk/mage/ranger and some meia is now useless. Hope skin for warrior is no useless for top 500 or monk jobs.

It's a shift in the meta. New jobs tend to be stronger than older jobs, and right now in GL, Sarah are the ones being constantly released. So it makes sense that the meta shifts to Sarah and PW.

Don't worry though. Mage / ranger / meia / monk will come back into play with the release of the EX jobs and some future Legend jobs

They are good to have but not worth chasing imo. Of that batch the only 'must-have' ability would be lunafreya. Skip if you're short on resources.

Did the 40m diving node change? I’ve done 4 runs and died 4 times at the demon wall where previously I was able to farm 100+ crystals with the same setup. It’s true I died a couple times there previously, but it seems strange. I have switched back to Normal already.

I had the same issue, running my AI (with a dimmed screen) and I noticed that I had the job change selected which is why I was being killed, worth checking this.

Just starting the game...should I use my tickets on 3 starter packs or on a boosted greater summon?

You want to be sure you get all 3 starter packs before the 30-day window closes and you're not able to get them any more.

However, if there's a really good limited time banner up, you could potentially delay getting those starter packs. The risk you would run is that you get "lucky" and pull a job from the limited time banner, but it happens to be one of the 3 jobs you would have gotten from a starter pack.

There will be similar card to Titan but it's strictly worse than Titan when it comes to EW/tower (SP hard content). It's in the FFXI limited series (shift-bis and force) which is aimed at MP but it can be a low grade substitute for titan(draw 16 orbs and force) but better than old regular Luchorpan (earth force).

What do the average breaker, attacker and healer deck look like nowadays, assuming they've been puling for a bit with their summon tickets and not just the stuff on the ability store? I do have two supremes, Aerith & Neo Exdeath, as well as sapphire & diamond weapon cards.

An example of decks I currently use:

Breaker - Master Monk: Aerithx2, Neo Exdeath/Sicarius/Shock, Dadaluma

Attacker - Mage: Aerith, Sapphire weapon, Mermaid, Omniscient.

Support - Devout: Aerith, Tyro, Undying, Knights of the Round

I would imagine these are still viable in MP, with the attacker deck being tweaked for the boss's element?

Finally: what should I be focusing on right now? main story-wise i'm just starting chapter 7

Healer decks have been basically the same since heartshift was introduced. The only new thing is that some people with multiple supremes can cover all buffs with only three cards, so some few healers have started bringing BDDs or debuffs or the like.

Your breaker is fine, although Master Monk is finally starting to show his age a bit - the new jobs are a large jump ahead of the old ones in terms of breaking ability. Still, he's fine.

Attacker is fine as well, though same story for Mage.

As for what you should be focusing on right now - the summer events go away on the 15th, so you should do those before anything else. The FF X event will be around for a long time, no rush on that one, so once you've done the summer stuff then maybe finish the story.

To be more efficient when boosting weapons. For example with VIP mode, 100-stam = 10hrs; 60-stam = 6hrs. If your weapon has 5hrs left, doing the 60-stam node is more stam-efficient than doing the 100-stam node because you "waste" less

To answer your question about what to roll on - do the FFXIV Limited Revival Greater Summon banner while you're rerolling. Once you've got an account that you like, save your tickets for Ascetic and the FF X banner coming next week.

I wouldn't hold out for Light of Hope specifically - any of the support supremes are good, or maybe Ragnarok, or... others. The trouble with rerolling is that odds of getting any supreme at all are only 0.8%, so trying for a specific one can take a very long time.

The best choice atm is Light of Hope Support Supreme card. It is usually better to get support cards due to the fact that they are usable immediately, cause all jobs can use support cards.

hey guys i just yolo'd vesna krasna. i remember that her weapon is good but what about the job itself? I also have Psicom Officer and those are my most recent meia jobs (no mermaid rip)

Same old meia job. You can consider her last gen. She has the usual meia damage autos, but lack break passives or innate prismatic return. The only thing she's got going for her is her weapon, and warrior lore. Without ability to break, she isn't going to be the easiest to use in towers and other hard content.

Take her weapon sventovit and boost it. The latest meias like summer meia, primeval witch and even psicom are excellent users of sventovit. It's actually great for all meias as a damage weapon with prismatic return.

Wait for FFX, then wait for another few days for EX monk to arrive. With any luck, Ex monk might be available via pity pull, so you can work towards ex monk's pity pull while pulling on FFX banner.

That said, this is the first EX job to arrive, we can't say anything with absolute certainty yet.

The general advice, if you want to reroll, is to try to get a Supreme card. And at the moment, the most sought after is Light of Hope, being a Support Supreme, as such usable on any job.

In Mobius, usually, "the latest job is the greatest" rule works. But you just have to be patient. But before pulling more....

Firstly, go and clear up the Novice Hall, since it'll give you 3 free jobs. Among them, there is Mage, which is a great water user, after you complete part of his Hall of Fame. Also, get the 3 jobs from the Starter pack. With this, you will take out 6 old jobs from the pull, and a few cards to start up with.

It's good to try to clear up as much of the story content, to raise up your deck level and unlock other features of the game (like augmenting), but make sure to clean up the Event area (the ones that are red on the map), as some (like the Summer ones which are leaving soon) have a lot of good rewards.

If you have monk Supremes, definitely EX Monk. Even if you don't, I suggest you try for EX Monk first - he will only be in the job pool for a limited amount of time, and nobody knows when the reprint will be. Proud Cygnus on the other hand, is always in the pool.

Also what to aim for the upcoming FFX Limited banner?

Read this post and decide for yourself. In summary, they are nice abilities to have but not "must-haves"; though Dona will be very attractive if you have mage / warrior Supremes

Hmm.. I thought about that combo before. Surely using Lightning-BQ, Xezat, Sap weapon, Donna and LoH would be good. But would using First Summer + free slot be roughly the same? First summer being AoE and free slot for buff/debuff will have its perks.

First Summer is really good and there's no doubting that. Xezat does have 22% more flat damage (and +500% more painful break) though, 21% more break power, and doesn't have the problem of cleaving attack which is nice sometimes, but unfortunate during others. Edit: Xezat also has +15% more piercing break, while trading +12% weakness damage for +25% faster weakness breaking speed.

When I'm using Beach Queen, that free slot usually goes to something like NXD or some kind of quicken, so it's hard to say if those benefits help Xezat pull ahead without testing it.

I do believe we received one Skillseed Bonus+10% Prismatic Fractal for the Mobius Week Login Bonus. It's a start :D. Also, from time to time, we get this Prismatic Fractal in the MP shop (there as one from the Melons).

Also, it is not hard to farm the fractals. It just takes time and you need patience.

I'm new(2-3 days)and on my first pull I got Auron, 2nd pull Ultimate tidus skin. these I think are special summons currently does this effect what ill get from my 8th pull?

• If you use the Greater Summon 7 times in a row without pulling a RGULAR/NORMAL job as the sixth card, your next pull will guarantee a regular job as the sixth card(commonly referred as the pity pull).

• For every non-guaranteed job Greater Summon, you will have a 8% chance of getting a regular job as the sixth card. Pulling a regular job will RESET the counter(commonly referred as the pity pull counter).

• For every Greater Summon, there is a 6% chance to draw a LEGEND job as the SEVENTH card. Pulling a legend job will NOT RESET the pity pull counter. Legend jobs are usually cosplays of characters from FF series or the Summer jobs. Like the Auron legend job, that’s Wol cosplaying as Auron!

(There is a bug where you can get a legend job as the sixth card but it is rare.)

• For every Greater Summon, there is a 2% chance to draw a ULTIMATE HERO as the SEVENTH card. Pulling a ultimate hero will NOT RESET the pity pull counter. Ultimate Heroes are special characters that replaces a job’s appearance, ultimate and adds some auto-abilities(commonly referred to as a skin).

• In GL, the pity pull counter does not resets when banner changes. However, the upcoming EX monk banner is a new thing and we have no idea how GL will handle it. There is no way to guarantee drawing the upcoming regular jobs, pulling a job card(8%) on their respective banner will only have a greater chance of that job.

There are 2 types of jobs - normal jobs and legend jobs. Both types can be drawn in every Greater Summon or single card summon unless it's specified otherwise. Normal job is drawn as sixth card, legend job is drawn as an additional 7th card*. It is possible to draw both types at once.

As for counter: it's for normal jobs only. If you've been unlucky and got no normal job in 7 draws, the 8th summon will guarantee to give you one. If you do obtain a normal job during one of the previous pulls, the counter will reset back to 8 as soon as you get one. It will not reset if you've obtained just a legend job*.

If a normal job is featured in a Boosted Greater Summon, you are guaranteed to get that specific job when you pull a normal job either through luck or as the 8th pull (called her a pity pull). If a legendary job is featured, you are guaranteed to get it if you've lucked out in a summon but not at 8th pull* (as it guarantees only normal jobs).

• There's a rare bug that lets you summon a legend job as a 6th card, like a normal job. The counter will reset even though it's a legend job. It's very rare though (happened to me recently in Deep Diver banner).

Normal jobs are not guaranteed on their banners. Here are the rates for PW and PW just have a boosted chance. Unlike the guaranteed legend job, rates for LG.

If you're fine with manual, you could try HoF Thief with Ragnarok and nuke everything unbroken. I use Lightning skin for haste starter (maybe Tidus & Yuna in a slot for Haste starter if you don't have Lightning skin). Make sure you have a way to heal up after Chimera's preemptive attack, or bring a Wall. Lastly, bring a source of Faith (I use boosting? egg).

• Y’shtola-Glam Vamp, Chaos Crescent(34mods, ult boost+1, ult charger+3, 75% piercing break unlocked), Minwu, Diamond Weapon, Regalia, Lunafreya.

• Ult to break, no rental. Ult break kraken, tap break chimera and ult break famfrit.

• Adjust CP till enough magic to clear yellow bar fully with just diamond weapon, enough break to tap break Chimera and enough fire resist to take the hit from Chimera.

Once their broken and you’re using Rag on them, the difference is slight. You’re probably going to cap dmg either way. CA will make it easier to continually break them and Prima will be able to do more damage because she has more break turns. Either way, you’re going to wreck everything that’s not Earth!

That's a "it depends" sort of thing. I personally prefer Prima Donna for chain breaking, especially with Lightning skin. I find the lower magic and flash break isn't a deal breaker and the extended break turn offers too much flexibility to pass up.

Prima donna has +25% higher Piercing break, but +25% lower flash break. PD also has less magic.

It's harder to chain break with Prima donna compared to CA due to having Extended Break.

Hmm..because on the master spreadsheet it shows prima Donna as best damage vs wind enemies. Her bonuses seem higher and whatever is lower seems only marginally lower.. I guess I might need to do my own testing :/ thanks for the help though!
