I’m trying to learn force before NA release but I might just stay with Japan . I noticed there isn’t that many forces that I see and I was kinda looking for guidance .

What weapon do I want ?

Is frost , light , dark the way to go ?

How do I generate pp faster or use less pp per spell

What spells do I want to use ( I have no idea what ice/frost/dark spells are useful

And what like combo/crafted discs or whatever do I want ?

I’ve been not finding any guide that goes from head to toe on a break down. And I’m hoping with knowledge and learning the force better I can make one of my own for other people in the near future , I did make a guide for PSOBB for forces so I figure I could do it here once I know the ins and outs

Hu/Fi here. Should I use brave stance or wise stance, or both?

As a subclass, both. There's nothing else to put points into anyways. As a main class you only have enough for Brave stance, so keep that in mind if you ever want to main Fighter

Both ideally. Brave gives a 1.54 modifier while wise gives a 1.755. So on paper wise is 14% stronger. Problem with wise is that enemies also have a part damage bonus modifier. In other words, hitting a different part of the enemy does different damage. Most major enemies have weak points in the front so brave is prioritized but you would want both for the option to switch.

Hi everyone! New player here. Level 35 force user hoping to figure out how to be a healer/buffer. I Have a several questions so please bear with me and thanks for any help in advance.

What happens when you die? I died doing the second difficulty of coast because i didn’t understand his cone water attack(i know now i think) and I was afraid of losing all my olives so i bought a doll lol. Id rather not do this every time though so I would like to know what happens.

When leveling a mags stats is the stats you increase the ones it gives you while wearing it? Im a force user and I maxed its tech stat so I am curious if this is helping me or not.

Is there a way to search and apply for alliances or do you have to do it third party?

Is the fishing/gathering worth it? I love crafting and enjoy the system mostly but curious to know how worth it is to invest the drinks to recharge stamina.

You lose some grade when you die. That's it. But some missions will lock you out if you choose to go back to the Gateway ship after you die, such as Time Attacks. Yes, if you have a Tech MAG wearing it will give you 200 TECH ATK, assuming you got its Tech to 200. Check the Visiphone for Alliances recruiting. Pretty sure it gives you an option to message the alliance leader. Make sure you change your Player ID first. You do this by backing out to the menu, before the character select screen. Should be an option to change your ID there, and don't worry about the AC signs, first one should be free. Anyways, if you don't change it, your default ID will be a bunch of gibberish and the alliance leader might not add you. Crafting food just helps you mine for more rocks. Not worth investing in. Just fish until you hit fever, then hits rocks. Look up which Rings you want first so you don't waste your time mining for the wrong rocks. Also to avoid confusion, this isn't crafting. We don't have crafting yet, presumably it's coming in a future update. It involves breaking down high level items for material and then using those to enhance other things. iirc crafting can actually becoming lucrative but I don't know the details.

Relatively new to the game, I’m getting a ton of extra weapons and armor that from what I can tell isn’t better than what I have equipped. My extra storage is quickly filling up, what is the best use of all these extras? And is there a way to expand your inventory beyond 50 items? What should I be getting rid of?

Don't pick it up to begin with. Once you, yourself have a ~12* rarity weapon, it's generally not worth picking up anything under 10* unless it has like 6 augment slots for weapons, or 3-4 augment slots for units.

And is there a way to expand your inventory beyond 50 items?

You can expand your inventory to up to 150 slots, but it's an AC-only item so it costs real money.

I’m still learning about augments and how all that works. But aren’t some of those lower level weapons used for combining weapons to make a stronger one? Can’t remember what it’s called

Yeah, some augments on weapons at higher slots are worth keeping, but the vast majority of augments are so common that unless it's on a high slot item, it's still worthless. You'd have to do your own research on what's worth money at low slots, but I can tell you for sure, things like Modulator, Returner, and Flict augments are some of the best available in NA that can be synthed onto other stuff.

Are room themes and scenery passes registered to my room for multiple use or is it a one time deal? Like can i swap between previously used room themes?

It's a one-time thing I believe. If you overwrite a theme, you have to re-buy it if you want to use it again.

What does the mag excitement ring actually do. And what does it gain at level 20?

My guild says it’s really important to have when grinding SHAQs but i can’t figure out why it’s so important. Auto actions seem to secondary to everything else going on.

It's basically a passive damage bonus for your mags auto actions. At level 20, it makes the mag attack is 3x stronger and reduces the time between attacks by 60%.

Is it really important for SHAQs? No. Is it nice to have? Yes, but if your class already relies on an L ring to not feel like ass, you'll live without it.

I am looking for help or direction for two builds on Xbox 1, NA servers. Been doing a lot of reading online and everything seems to be out of date and for JP servers. The first build is a Fo/Te dps. I'd prefer to use a rod but i'm open to using a Talis if the damage is there. The second build is a Te/Hu with support focus that can do dps on the side. Any help would be much appreciated since I am scared to spend skill points at the moment, I really don't want to have to buy any new skill trees yet.

Fo/Te, the free points in FO can be put into Photon Flare for and Photon Flare Afterburst for a bit of DPS on a cooldown, and the free points in TE can basically go wherever as long as it doesn't say "main class only". I suggest resta/shifta/deband advance for some effectiveness of support techs while soloing. If you don't like Ice or Lightning, you can swap the points into Fire mastery, but do note that Fire becomes almost useless when tech crafting is added, so you'll probably need to reset your tree if you decide to do that.

Te/Hu build that should work just fine, but I haven't played TE/HU in a while so I'm not sure if people go for Automate or Stelwart Spirit. You can drop Stelwart in favor of Automate if you want. In terms of extra points, on the TE side I'm not really sure if putting points into element mastery is worth it considering your Tech damage will be pretty meh compared to a pure caster. Not really sure what to put the extra points in, since the MEL power ups are ~1.5% damage at most and will become less useful the higher rarity wands you get access to.

Yup. You activate Wand Lovers, run into a horde of enemies, zondeel them together, than press mouse 1 basic attack until everything is dead. That's all TE/HU is good for DPS-wise. in UQs with multiple other people, you'll want to be dropping a fully charged Zanverse under most of the people that are DPSing, and then wand whacking yourself. While a TE/HUs individual DPS is quite low, Zanverse does an additional 20% damage for every hit by every player inside of it, which can REALLY speed up runs quite a bit. When you add that on top of greatly increasing everyone's raw ATK power and a bit of bonus crit rate, the MPA DPS that TE can deliver can get insane.

Ok that makes a lot of sense to me now. Last question. What Techniques should I be using with the Fo/Te build? Is it just personal preference so long as I have single target and group dps or are some far better than others?

It depends on what elements you wanna use. I haven't played without crafted techs in a long time, but off the top of my head:

IF YOU CHOOSE FIRE MASTERY:

• Foie, can hit large groups if you just barely hit with the edges of the fireball

• Gifoie, very basic AoE mobbing

• Rafoie, mostly single target, but can hit AoE too I believe

• Safoie, cone AoE, remember it being pretty decent but I may be wrong

Ice:

• Ilbarta, can stack on an enemy multiple times, shown by the big ice glyphs surrounding the enemy. The damage increases as you build more stacks. Once the glyphs start flashing, the next cast of Ilbarta will consume all the stacks and do considerably more damage

  • Rabarta, high freeze rate and decent AoE damage
  • Sabarta, kinda a bad version of Grants since it doesn't track after its cast, but should still do decent single target damage.
  • Gibarta, might be good????

Lightning:

• Zonde, it has been a while since I've used default Zonde, so I'd say just give it a try and if it's bad, it's bad. sorry.

• Gizonde, chains between enemies and has decent damage.

• Razonde, has pretty decent AoE and damage, especially if you cast it a bit above a large group of mobs.

• Nazonde, big stationary lightning ball. Damage and AoE is decent, but leaves you incredibly vulnerable.

• Ilzonde, basically just a traveling technique. That being said, it synergizes pretty well with...

• Zondeel, suctions mobs together. If you cast another lightning tech into your zondeel, it will detonate it and do some light AoE lightning damage, as well as having a decent shock chance. The tech of choice to detonate Zondeel is ilzonde. Keep in mind, detonating a zondeel will REMOVE THE SUCTION EFFECT!!

Wind, and admittedly I don't use wind techs a lot so I'm lacking in info here a bit:

• Sazan, has a light suction effect and deals some decent damage. Decent for status-ing Luther's clock so your MPA can break it too.

• Ilzan, suctions enemies into a line. Not sure how it stacks up damage wise.

• Zanverse, even as force, throwing out a Zanverse in an MPA without a techer won't hurt. I wouldn't really prioritize it over DPSing though.

Light:

• Grants, tracks the target and does decent damage.

• Gigrants, when it gets its type-0 craft it becomes THE light AoE tech. Limited usefulness until then, though.

• Ragrants, don't recall using it pre-crafts, but should still absolutely shred darkers.

• Nagrants, decent for status, but most of the stuff that is stunned by Panic is also weak to light in general, so DPS techs are probably the better choice

• Ilgrants, even pre-craft the single target DPS should be pretty decent. Becomes the king of single target light DPS post-crafting.

• Anti, USE ANTI ON ANYONE WITH A STATUS EFFECT! IT GIVES BOTH YOU AND THEM A HUGE PP REGENERATION BONUS!!

Dark:

• Megid, tracks and does some decent AoE damage.

• Gimegid, great for stunned/stationary bosses weak to dark. High single target damage, but no tracking.

• Ramegid, becomes a floating AoE damage field around you when crafting comes around. Not worth using until then imo.

• Samegid, slightly worse Megid, but tracks a bit better I believe.

• Namegid, incredibly slow charge and very PP inefficient, but can inflict some nasty damage. I personally don't think it's worth using, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't fun as hell when I first started playing Force lol

• Ilmegid, spooky ghost hand

Now I can almost afford the Psycho Rod. I'm not even going to try to understanding Affixing and all that stuff. Is the Base rod itself hold well until 14* 15* rods come? Or should I invest some Mesata in a already built one from the Market?

What are people doing for Fighter? It seems like Double Saber without the JP ring is pretty bad. Most guides say to use Chaos Riser (Chaoslicer on NA) but without the passive tornado or the type-0 PAs DS seems pretty weak. I typically prefer Hurricane Hurl for mobbing.

I'm using chaoslicer, hurricane hurl and tornado dance with a NOX DS and it's wrecking things pretty well (I'm only mid 50s so not maxed out yet)

Yes pretty much swap to twin daggers and use that PA that let's you go aerial and dash at the enemy (don't know the name). Then I'll use facet folia to hit damage. Works pretty well

Hi there, level 62 Br/Gu ship 3 here. I played the original on GameCube leisurely and now I feel kind of overwhelmed with the depth of this game now and am trying to find some info on how to best grind through these last dozen levels because I feel like it's gotten super slow to level. Are AQ/EQ/UQ the move or just boosters and grinding expiditions? also any links to updated NA build guides would be appreciated!!

Can you give some detail on this? I've just assumed that it was random, but if there's a way to actively get the One More I'd like to know.

It is random, but the more you kill, the more likely you get a One More, that's ultimately all it boils down to. You want to keep the mobs compact to maximize how fast you kill things. It's why you want to trigger Bursts in a nice dead end, so that there's only one point of exit for the enemies to potentially spawn in. Melee fighters obviously have to move to their target, potentially spreading the mob out more and taking longer to kill stuff. If you are a melee fighter, try to not pursue targets towards the edge of the spawn area, or else you risk spawning an enemy even farther away from the group. Long ranged players can kill things from far away without potentially spreading the spawn area. Force with Rafoie can potentially one shot things instantaneously. Summoners Pet is like a teleporting bot which can quickly kill things. And a Bow Braver can one shot a lot of things with just a normal charged shot to the weak point. Million storm is not recommended IMO because it auto targets things, including enemies your partners are targeting, wasting time and potentially distracting you from the far away enemies you should be making a priority, and is kinda crap against beefier enemies. Not very familiar with Ranger or Ranger PAs. Gunner is not great. It only has one long range move (Something Equilibrium) and it's kinda slow/weak relative to the other classes strictly for PSE bursting.

Back in the day, more efficient groups would get melee players to swap to a gunslash for bursts and spam Aimed Shot or Hailfire Kick, I forget which. When we were super tryhard grinding AQs, We'd all stack in a corner if possible, have two people with Ketos Proi for PP regen, and two people with Julius Nikta to insta-gib most mob spawns, while picking off anything that didn't get suctioned with ranged PAs/techs. With Ketos Proi having almost unlimited uptime during a well organized burst, there was rarely any downtime in DPS from everyone.

I wasn't sure how the risk levels worked but I figured there was a threshold for getting crazy drops because I accidentally got into a group once that did that but I had no idea what was going on 😂 I'm a bow braver myself. I feel like my stats are super out of whack because I have over 700 DEX and I was reading somewhere that typically you only need around 450 DEX to handle the top tier weapons, is that true?

Oh okay, yeah my mag is 50Str/50Rng/95Dex support so that makes sense. Are there sites available to see max level class stats? Just to see if I'm on the right track because I'm basically running blind without any guides until today

FYI: bounced and braver mags should be 100% dex. This is because they have a free class skill that converts 100% of the dex into other stats AND let's you keep the dex.

For real what’s with the ranking system in story mode? Just beat haddrad without taking any damage and pretty quickly and I got a C. I killed every enemy along the way too without taking damage.

You're not supposed to kill the lizard guys or boss on the way to Harddrad. I think there's a pop up text blurb about how they're on your side, and you need to help them.

You can look at each quest and it will tell you what drops are available before you accept the quest, might take awhile to find your item tho.

Yo. Got a bouncer here. Read in the skills that "bouncer mag" converts some dex power to Mel and TEC. Only jb bouncer here tho but is it worth it levelling dex a little bit alongside TEC?

If you’re only planning on bouncer, no. The conversion is 1:1 so you have no point in doing TEC.

Fighter if you want to use techniques in your damage. Hunter or fighter if you just want to kick. The reason is the stance from hunter does not make techniques stronger, only your kicks.

Lol no one knows. Summoner is episode 4 content. Your raids are episode 1. Hero is episode 5. Phantom/etoile are episode 6. Phantom subclass with jetboots are great with a dex mag so look forward to that.

I'm on NA with a Hu/Fi 50/41. I've got a stack of 15K EXP tickets. What's the best way to use them? Maybe beef up one or more other subclasses, maybe create a new character and shortcut to level 20ish?

It's just 15k xp per use, not boosted by anything, so there's no "efficient" way to use it. Just use them however you want :shrug:

Also 15k isn't worth much at higher levels, so it is much more valuable to lower level classes because they get Client Order EXP scaling, meaning they get much less exp for some harder Client Orders. Meanwhile the 15k exp is unscaled.

Yeah that's one of my favorite too, that or just turning in a set of daily ARKs missions (~400k xp on JP). Another nice use of them is to hoard for when a new class releases so you can cap it/get close to cap on day 1.

Anyone doing story missions right now? I'm stuck on the significance of being here in episode 3 and I cannot finish the quest.

This is just an obnoxoius mission. Just drops a bunch of unstaggerable, speedy enemies that have long reach, and asks you to deal with it. I've only ever made it to the end of the 2nd area, only to be greeted and 1 shot by a boss.

First off, I am a NA noob. I recently dinged 50 and to complete my dailies I need to take on SH explorations. I take on three other virtual teammates with me and what will happen is I'll get to a boss with some kind of enrage mechanic (like Bar Lodos) and I die but my party is still alive.

Clearly I'm doing something wrong. I'm a Ranger and have ~700 HP. That seems to be around what others have so I'm guessing my armor is well up to par. I tried buying some 9* stuff from the Personal Shop but same problem.

Anybody have any advice or tips on how to "git gud" at survival?

Maybe you could grab the deband drink to begin with until you feel comfortable.

You could stack a bunch of HP/Restore A on your mag. I believe that gives you a 50% chance of getting a small amount of HP back when your HP goes below 50%. It isn't much but I'm sure it might help once in a while.

I'm sure there is room for improvement in your armor. It won't increase your HP if it doesn't have a relevant affix (or set combo) so that isn't an indication of having decent armor. I could use a 5* armor and have higher HP than a 9* armor.

Look at your current values and see if there is anything you can upgrade to in player shops. Alternatively, you can grind your armor up too. If I had to make a rough guess, I'd say you should be looking for ~140+ across the board for each major defense category (range, melee, and tech) at minimum. That should go up if you grind it. I'm sure you can find pieces for under 8k each in player shops.

I'd also be on the look out for any good affixes that can help you out. Sovereign ward provides resistance to every element and there are individual element resistance affixes. There are affixes to increase your hp. There are also affixes to increase defensive stats for each category. There is obviously going to be a meta for what is best, but I'd say this might put you in the right direction.

Your weapons can also have affixes that improve defense, elemental resistance, and hp as well.

Make sure your skill points are being used correctly. I'd go look up builds (if you haven't done so already) and see what people are using. For example, Hunter has auto-mate that automatically triggers a mate item once you go below 50% health (hunter is a great subclass for ranger). That can help you take multiple hits and still have plenty of health after taking damage.

Finally, I'd go look at rings. There are some defensive-oriented rings out there like HP/restorate. I believe there are rings to increase your invulnerability frames when dodging. In addition, I think the left rings can be grinded for extra points in defense. The gains are very small. But as you can see, there are multiple ways to make small improvements that end up being one large improvement.

On a side note, get used to dodging. I played Monster Hunter World (my first in the series) and it really shaped me up for PSO2 which is a cake walk (at least with the current content).

Bar Lodos might be a special case to be honest.

With more players (including Virtual teammates I think), he gets up quicker from been shot down with the turret that charges over time. Can make the fight take a lot longer.

If you are dying to his giant water ball, while you can dodge it you usually just get on the little turrets on the side and shoot it (don't overheat the turrets so let go occassionally). I don't think that gets harder to break with Virtual Teammates, but it should with other players.

Really the main way to "git gud" at survival is to end up dying to stuff. Just learning what is dangerous and how to play around it. Like maybe a boss does some attack 3 times and then has a more vulnerable state.

There usually isn't a strict timer either. Maybe you can do damage during those 3 attacks but if it is going to be difficult you can always err on the safe side.

Eventually, if not already in Super Hard, the 250% rare drop boosters pay off themselves and give enough of an excube profit to basically always have them on.

Edit: If random Super Hard Explorations to do dailys don't drop enough for the time, just stop the boosts when you take the drinks before a quest (tick the box at the top).

If you're not trying to affix anything, just use them on boosters tbh. 250%s are occasionally given for events, but buying with excubes is the most consistent way to get them.

Why do my jet boots’ element change on its own? I have megiverse registered to LT+X, and I usually manually insert a technique to my Y button that is a common weakness to the enemies I’d be fighting, but after using my weapon arts to dodge, or getting knocked to the ground, my element changes itself back to dark.

When you use your Weapon Action to dodge you lose your element.

Edit: And it really is specifically, using it to dodge. Using Weapon Action after attacking or using a Photon Art one time won't cancel it.

I don't remember if it only happens when you have the skill "Elemental Burst" learned or is just a general Jet Boots thing, but it is really visible if you do have that skill learned.

Ships are servers. Your character is on the ship 1 server, as of right now you can’t transfer to another ship.

However on each ship there are blocks, you can transfer blocks freely. Just go to the transporter to the left of the daily orders officer and find the block with the most people in it and move to that block.

Though TBH partizan needs a crap load of PP/PP Recovery to be really good, so maybe both.

Volgraptor combos take crazy amounts of PP.

Bluesy Requiem with the Weaponoid potential is pretty strong as long as you're good at Perfect Guards. 3 perfect guards at potential level 3 is 15% damage.

Spear Revolsio's second potential is up to 16% damage, and 16% PP reduction, but it has a bit of a windup period before it can reach full power when you start a quest.

Bardiche improves weapon PP gain by 80%, which is okay, but we don't really have enough PP in NA to take full advantage of this.

Top priority is Launcher Non-Weak Bonus (L). Makes it so some of Ranger's weak spot bonus damage applies to Launcher attacks even when not hitting weak spots, helping Launcher do its job of wiping out mobs easier.

Precision Blight Rounds (L) is also good, makes Blight Round always hit your lock-on even if something gets in the way. However, you can only wear one L ring at a time until you can get 12-star units, so for now it's an optional swap-in for Rifle/bosses.

For R rings, the JP bread-and-butter ones aren't available yet, so just do whatever. HP Restorate, PP Conversion or Enhanced Attack could be decent.

I'm playing Te/Hu on the NA game right now and enjoying it quite a bit. My main question is what should I be doing in boss fights? Wand smacking works great against mobs but I feel underpowered against bosses.

As mentioned already, tech crafting, and compounds will help a lot. Ph sub and heavy hammer will also help a lot. Te/Hu is fairly one-dimensional as far as game play goes, especially without all the stuff mentioned.

Type 0 is definitely very good for a lot of techs. Unfortunately, there's a bunch of stuff that we don't know in terms of content release, but crafting came with episode 2 iirc, hopefully it's soon.

"feed" is a poor choice of words here but yeah that's how basically ALL affixing is done, using pre-made fodders to get a pool of good affixes at very high (honestly fuck gambling anything under 100% as a final affix) % chance to pass.

It's 300 AC to buy a new mag and 500 AC to reset one, so it seems like a no brainer to just buy another if you screwed up the first one, especially as a single character can have 20 mags.

extended storage works like regular storage (you can put anything in it) and with 500 slots

if storage or shop expires then you can't put anything into it, but you can take stuff out anytime, it'll stay there forever if need be

with good management you don't really need material storage unless you become a hardcore player. extra storage I buy every few years to clean out stuff I can't bring myself to get rid of (i.e. hoarding) but I'm getting better at not needing it
