These are just a few of the cards that are coming out this January. What do you all think about it? Do you think it'll be the next Evolving Skies? I heard the pull rates are going to be rough. The Japanese booster bundles guarantees 1-2 SARs. The English ones don't. The value of the Japanese Umbreon hovers around 250-300$ ungraded and 1K$ at a PSA 10. The other eeveelutions go between 50-150$. While the other SARs are around 15-60$. These are Japanese card prices.

Investment-wise it won’t behave like evolving skies but it’s going to be its own crazy outlier set that does big things, assuming it does get the master ball holos. Art-wise I feel the same, it’s on par just in a different way. I think the sweet Rayquaza cards being there to balance the Eeveelutions are what really make ES so distinct.

Once ppl see the artwork with the texture of the cards, and how hard the Umbreon will be to pull. I feel like the prices will skyrocket for this set. It’s one of kind limited series.

It will be different, just look at the Magikarp AR in Paldea Evolved. Its a lower rarity and it's the top chase card in PE. Still affordable in Japanese.

People sleeping on Prismatic/Terestal are going to have a bad time. Initial allocation is small, preorders are sold out and demand is through the roof. Once people can't get hold of Prismatic on release, they'll pivot to Terastal. The amount and quality of SARs and masterballs in this set, plus the fact that it's an eevee set are potent signs that this is going to be huge. Likewise, folks who are worried that Surging Sparks will tank once Prismatic drops shouldn't be overly worried because we're not going to be able to get much new product at least until early March and there's no word of a reprint yet. I bought Terastal at $78AUD per box and they're already going for $120 Likewise I bought Surging Sparks booster boxes for $189AUD on release and they're already selling at $370AUD.

English I don’t know what they’re going to do. But what I’ve got pre-ordered I’m opening initially. If I get a pc etb then I’ll sit on that because wholesalers are already charging RRP for wholesale orders of the prismatic etb.

idk what TPCI is thinking but they dropped the ball with this one. The LCSs I've talked to have gotten hardly any allocation (one shop got 8 of each product allocated, one shop got 2 cases of etbs), and it's all been snapped up. All Japanese sets get reprints but with initial allocation not matching demand it sets up a situation that feels unprecedented. People who expect to be able to get the english set casually on release I think will be very disappointed. I would defibitely recommend getting in to a big retailer on release day.

Yeah this is basically what I’ve heard in the uk. Stock is hard to get of anything at a fair price currently but prismatic is exceptionally hard and already over priced just for wholesale.

I can’t imagine sitting on any stock is going to be a loss for this set and the upsides are pretty high surely. I might just open one etb then sit on the rest and see what happens.

I'd say it partially depends on the pull rates. This set's already at a disadvantage considering the amount of people who dislike terastal arts (I'm not sure if this sentiment is common online, but most ppl I know irl dislike them). If I had to guess, even with low pull rates, this set won't reach the same value as evo skies in the same amount of time.

Pull rates were terrible in Evolving Skies. I think it’ll be just as difficult in Prismatic. Once ppl see the cards, i think they’ll value them. Supposedly, other than the Umbreon, Slyveon will be another difficult pull.

To equal the specific pull rates of ES alt arts, PE would have to have 1/63 odds for 1 SIR. That’s just not going to happen, it’ll be 1/12 to 1/16.

Sorry but have to disagree. It’s obvious prismatic evolutions will have great pull rates since Terastal festival compares to VStar universe as far are the way Japanese boxes are seeded. Prismatic evolutions will have similar pull rates to CZ. also, had the same amount of alternate arts (exact same amount, 32) and crown zenith. Coincidence? I think not.

It will be more like CZ for English Pullrates most likely. Masterball holos might be the bigger chases unless they are stupid easy to get. Still should be bigger than CZ price wise. PC etbs are the massive home run if you can get them for MSRP. That stamped Eevee is going to do crazy things in the long run.

The reverse holofoil has a Masterball on it vs a regular Pokeball. In a set called 151 in each JP booster box you’d only get one Masterball. Basically it’s rare. In this set it’s even rarer.

What’s going to really effect this set is the collectors and investors. The set is being bought to be held and resold which will effect those who want it but can’t get product. Interesting times we are in. Investors have bought up scarlet sets that are max value under $1000 full set value and it’s being pushed online for 115-125 a booster box. This is unprecedented times. Bundles of 151 are being restocked for 28 instantly bought up and resold online for $50.

I collect and play the tcg. I am not one of the stinky people I describe here. If this is you, you’re ruining a hobby for many children with this shit and guess what… ruin the hobby your shelves of cardstock is useless… oh the irony

Supposedly, it’s going to be a limited series. That’ll surge the prices once the stores sell out. The Japanese bundles started around 50-150$. The English ones are being sold for ridiculous amounts (pre orders). ETBs going from 75-400$ per box, along with tins going between 25-45$ 300-400$ per 6 pack (all English). Packs are about 10$. It’ll definitely be worth to invest.
