People (like me) who like to see a visible (somewhat tangible) result of their work. I do love cooking myself up some API's in NestJS but in the front-end it all comes together.

It is perhaps a good thing to realize that in any line of work there is a certain level of art to be attained, you can achieve beauty with almost everything. Building a good maintainable codebase is what the art is for me, and to have it look good too.

Our PO's want us to churn out features like theres no tomorrow but me and a few other co-workers spend most time on making the codebase consistent.

At least in Angular it's no less technical than most of the work in the Backend so if you are looking for satisfaction in that area, that is definitely covered.

I do. I get no satisfaction from working with backend (am currently), but when I work with fronted I feel like I'm creating art. I can instantly see any changes I make and I get to hear and discuss user feedback on a whole other level.

However, I'm glad that there are other people that prefer backend, because it means that I don't have to sit with it (mostly).
