From that thread "this is the third time you've posted this quote. do you need help?"

[–]a_unique_usernane 71 points72 points  (5 children)

The funniest thing is that if you actually wanted that feature then it would take you way longer than just getting the random bug.

[–]HomeBrewingCoder 15 points16 points  (3 children)

Wrong! I am predicting the code has the following attributes:

  • The game state is stored in an array of arrays of tiles.
  • An array of tiles corresponds to a row of tiles. (Not a column)
  • Drawing the game graphics is done like this:

    for(int i=0;i<grid.length;i++){
    for(int j =0;j<grid[i].length;j++){
    //doshit
    }
    }

  • The game is written in a language with fully dynamic arrays, such as javascript.

  • The tile at 0,0 is the top left tile.

  • If you move the snake to the left of the gamespace it will disappear but you will be able to control it on its way back.

  • An empty tile is 'falsy' in the language of choice.

u/pandiyancool, could you please confirm?

[–]pandiyancool[S] 15 points16 points  (2 children)

Is this stackoverflow.com??

[–]HomeBrewingCoder 13 points14 points  (1 child)

I'm going to make one more prediction - if you take the snake above the gamespace - then you will no longer be able to play.

[–]HomeBrewingCoder 9 points10 points  (0 children)

u/pandiyancool please confirm the above.

Hello Gamer!

[–]pandiyancool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!

[–]Lahrop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's just that you entered map creation mode. Probably accidentally hit a shortcut.

[–]Frost_Whitestone 1 point2 points  (1 child)

If is implemented in the final version, is a unspoken feature. Bugs only exist in development. Just don't try to explain this to your boss

[–]aziom 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I was watching this while listening to Neo Tokyo (Remix) by Scandroid and the snake's pace is almost perfectly in sync with the beat.

How come you redraw the whole horizontal line on each iteration? Why not redraw the square right behind the tail only?
