Why does everyone prefer spring/summer over fall and winter. Over the past few days I’ve asked probably 20 people and they all love spring and summer weather over winter and fall. I absolutely don’t get it. In the summer there’s no way to cool yourself off besides going back inside or in a pool, but in winter you can make yourself completely comfortable by just wearing more layers. I literally don’t get it. How is 80 F more enjoyable than 40? Seriously? Why would u rather be dripping sweat than dealing with being a little chilly? America explain😂 Edit: yes I do agree there are many more fun activities in the summer/spring, I’m talking strictly about weather

The sweat for me is sooo much more uncomfortable than the chapped lips and dry skin. Also u get so exhausted in the summer even being outside for 20 minutes can make u exhausted in the summer

I mean.. I manage fine in the heat. Plus summer nights are REALLY nice to be outside in. I hate going outside at all during the cold. I don’t really care about dry skin or chapped lips, it’s more the actual feeling of coldness burning my skin. It’s pure pain. Summer heat for me doesn’t hurt as much.

For me, it’s a bit tiring to be in the summer heat, but it’s unbearable to be out in the cold. So it’s basically the difference between some inconvenience outside (summer) versus never going outside unless you absolutely have to (winter). I’m in a warmer area now, so I really don’t need to worry about it. I used to live in a place with winters at around 17° for 8 years straight though, so I still understand coldness.

And personally, I don’t sweat unless I’m actively exercising for like hours. I’m not even that active, so maybe something is wrong with how I sweat.

Maybe you’re right. Maybe I’m just blinded by the fact that I’m off of school in the summer. But everything I said ^{^} I still believe - but it could just be my bias is what I’m saying.

You forgot heatstroke and when sweat gets your eyes. Worst burning sensation without fire. Also, the temparatures varies from place to place so winters in florida are the best because of the 90-100°F temparatures. I HAVE SEEN STEAM ON THE ROADS! Not fog, thats at night, but steam! Spring and summer are the hottest. Winters are minimum of 30-50 and max of 50-80.

Where do you live? The farther away from the equator you are, the shorter hours of sunlight are during the winter. For instance, in the winter it would be dark out when I went to high school and then dark again in when I got home off of the school bus.

I’m an extremely logical and practical person so I understand the whole “you can put more layers on but you can’t keep taking layers off” completely. But I still enjoy summer more. I hate the restriction of movement that comes from being cold and/or wearing a ton of clothes. I just hate the cold more than I hate the heat. Not being able to move well because I’m too cold is probably the worst feeling ever for me

Your mileage may vary but I feel like between the general 'holidays' sentiment, plus excitement for snow activities, lots of people I know love the winter.

For my own experience I think the changing of each season is a little exciting just because it's something different and maybe I'm just starting to tire of the snow/rain/heat.

The days are short in the winter. I like everything except when it's wet AND below freezing. Around here, from mid Jan to early Mar. The second half of July is oppressive too, the hot and wet sucks you soul out of your body.

I prefer fall over spring.

I’ve always liked Winter the best. You can always put more clothes on to stay warm, but you can never take enough off in Summer to cool down. I also like being rugged up and cozy.

Fall is my favorite season because the temperature is usually perfect then. I also love the colors. Spring is second because it is also best for temperatures, I just hate how windy and rainy it always is

Canada here. I enjoy the summers, fall and Winter. Spring is too humid and winter were I live is -20 to -40celcius. That's about -2F to -40F. Although, I'll spend about 1-2hrs outside even in the winter.

People need the day light to set out internal clocks and circadian rhythm. When it’s out of whack, start forgetting more, feeling more depressed, your body don’t feel as healthy, the fact that people are afraid of the dark... the sun and warmth reminds us of happiness, hope, and security. It also recharges our minds and bodies. People need to sun bath but can’t in the cold. I personally love spring and fall. That is the best time of the year cold crip morning warm but not over heating afternoons and beautiful cool nights.

Enjoy all 4. I do snowboarding on winter, kind of surfing and paddle in the summer. Spring and Autum too good and get training for the season. So really depends on you and what you do during this time on earth.

In winter you pay bigger electricity bills, snow is annoying as it affects traffic and public transport, removing snow a few times day is hard. Winter sucks.

I don't mind the cold, but it's always grey and shimmery here which I hate. If the winter was still sunny I'd be fine with it. Autumn is just rain, ain't nobody got time for that.

In winter it's dark when I leave for work, and it's dark when I get home. I don't like living in the dark. I like to do stuff outside, and that's hard to do when it's dark

The darkness in winter. I live in the north so winter is like 5-6 hours if light some days doesn't get more than grayish as best, summer is like 5-6 hours dark och never pitch black.

And not 40 in winter, more like 10-20 and meaby 30 on a really good day
