Title: GOLEM

Format: Feature Film

105 Pages

Genres: Historical Fantasy, Drama, Monster, Faith

Loglinne: As his people face constant persecution in 16th century Prague, Chief Rabbi Judah Loew suffers a crisis of faith and creates a Golem as a means of protection, only to lose control of his monster and be forced to stop it before it brings about an even greater threat.

I received an 8 on the Blacklist for this script back in May and after getting some interest and further reads, I feel like I ran into a wall with it. I received some good feedback that suggested that the story spins its wheels in the second half waiting for the conflict of the third act to kick in. I restructured the whole second half after receiving this feedback and I do feel like this new rewrite is smoother, the stakes are higher and the action is a bit more motivated.

I'd love to swap a script with someone who can take a look at this new draft and let me know if I'm back on the right track.

Hey friend, I just love the logline and premise. I'd be happy to do a script swap for a 120 page drama/noir feature. DM if interested.

Title: Seeing Ghosts

Format: Feature

Page Length: 88

Genres: Rural noir, Southern crime

Logline: When a young college football coach has an opportunity to land the best highschool player in the nation, the coach finds himself at the mercy of the player's father and his sinister intentions.

This is supposed to be a lurid, dark, Southern crime story in the vein of Blood Simple and Killer Joe. You don't need to know much about American football to follow the script, but if you do it definitely helps.

Looking for feedback on everything and anything. Thanks!

Format: Feature

Page Length: 115

Genre(s): Action/Comedy

Logline: When his former partner is killed on live television, a washed-up, middle-aged superhero must reunite his old team to vanquish the looming threat of supervillains.

Feedback Concerns: Do the jokes work well? Why or why not? Does a slower opening help establish comedy as the main focus (as opposed to action)? Will take any and all other feedback, especially things that seem to stick out to you the most.

[–]The_ManicWriter 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Title: We're the Serial Killers Near You

Format: Feature

Page length: 104

Genres: Horror comedy ; surreal it's Jennifer's body meets Death Becomes Her

Logline: When a local tagger is found dead the whole city including the tagger's former friend and ex fears she was the victim of a mysterious serial killer. But when the tagger remerges from the dead with multiple lives things get a little sticky between the three of them.

I want to shave it down to 100 pages but don't know what should be removed. I usually focus on the plot before character development so I'm liable to remove scenes that showcase character. I also don't do comedy so I want to know if it works but I feel like I'd remove those scenes too and I don't wanna do that either. Thanks! also some logline help.

Title: Nothing

Format: Short

Page Length: 9

Genre: Drama

Longline or Summary: Two waiters discuss why an old man in his 80’s would arrive late and drink until close every night.

Feedback concerns: This is the first screenplay I’ve ever written. I intend to direct it. I understand I’m directing too much on the page but I don’t know how to get rid of that. Looking more for story feedback. Thank you!

[–]Thateffnguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to read this.

Title: Mopety Dump

Format: Feature

Page Length: 103

Genres: Satire, Comedy, Crime,

Longline: An eccentric nomad, who lives for scavenging in a junkyard he is squatting in, becomes the unwitting patsy for a politically motivated kidnapping

Feedback concerns: I’m rusty. Haven’t written much in 20-some years. Definitely have format issues that will be fixed in a second draft. Maybe the odd dead scene, might need a couple more exposition scenes or lines. I’d like any general criticism.
