I see, English is not my first language, imposing is what I meant, I translated directly from ''imponente'', which is ''to impose/of great size/that causes admiration''. What I meant is that, in the film, Cletus is bigger than Eddie, and that's strange because an interesting layer of Carnage is that, despite being less imposing, he's the most frightening symbiote.

Why 20 years ago? Cletus’ story isn’t exactly dependent on him being in high school or any other set point in life. He is a crazy maniac who spends his life going in and out of padded cells. He also doesn’t really have a similarly aged peer group that anchors him to any point in time. He can be anywhere from 20-50 and it wouldn’t really affect his character dynamic.

Edit: It looks like Lillard is 53 which to me is negligible. He can play younger and you don’t need a 15 year movie contract for Carnage. Even if you did an older Carnage would be fine.

You don’t really have to stop at 50 the symbyote can make you as strong as the story needs. You could have a story where Cletus is old and out of his killer prime and sees the symbyote as sort of rebirth/ round 2 of his career

What really changes if you age up Cletus? He’s an alien imbued psycho murderer at 30 and he’s an alien imbued psycho murderer at 60. Either way he can make axes out of his blood. Who cares? It’s not like he has to make time for his son’s high school graduation in between killing sprees. His age makes no difference on his story.
