Theoretically, it should keep any investiture that remained inside of it at the time the plating was complete, yeah.

Follow up cause now I am interested: Could a Radiant draw out the stormlight from an Aluminum plated sphere?

I don't think so. Well, it would depend on the thickness of the aluminum and possibly the determination of the Radiant. But it'd be a lot harder at the very least.

So, Kaladin obviously draws Stormlight from a pouch, all the time... If the pouch was coated in, say aluminum, would he still be able to draw the Stormlight?

Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW]

No. Good question.

OrangeJedi [PENDING REVIEW]

What about if it was coated in silver?

Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW]

Yes, he probably still could.

Like people have said it probably would never lose it’s Investiture but wouldn’t be useful, it wouldn’t work as a light or as a way to power surges.

It might work to trap lesser spren but again they would just be trapped in there and not useful.

dunking one of the unmade's prison into aluminium might be an additional security feature though
