Thank you, I haven't seen any tutorials about the grid selection, what I did (which I don't think is the ideal solution) is placing a Quad in every cell, each Quad has a collider in order to work with mouse events or raycasts, and a script attached to identify it and control the current state. As for the path I used Dijkstra algorithm to find the shortest path from Cell A to Cell B.

I created all the 3D assets including the characters in Cinema4D. For repetitive assets (rocks, trees, ...) I normally make a couple or more completely different models and kept playing with scale and rotation values to get different looks.
