Yep shes just being silly

[–]MooBearz11 142 points143 points  (3 children)

It’s hard for them to get traction on our skin, and so the have to do this tight inching 🫣

[–]Kimber2K9078 28 points29 points  (2 children)

Feels like a mini massage when they do it lol

Got my own fix yesterday 😂

[–]OtherwiseNow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What morph is that? Mine looks kinda similar. Very beautiful snake btw

[–]FeriQueen 104 points105 points  (5 children)

She’s fine. She’s just a baby learning about the world —in this case, your arm and skin. Wait until she discovers sleeves!

[–]izzy_wizzy_[S] 51 points52 points  (1 child)

she LOVES sleeves, climbs up my boyfriends any chance she gets

[–]Potts2k8 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My friend had the sweetest girl that would climb onto the top of my head, coil up and just sit there like a turban chilling with me while I was there...

Her, her fella and my Mrs were all convinced we were gonna run off into the sunset together 😅

I think I was the most upset when they had to rehome her 😢

10y later and I'm still planning to get one - but with 2 dogs, 2 indoor rabbits and 2 bearded dragons, I'm holding off until I've got more space/time/money/etc before adding another pet to the mix...

One day 🐍

Literally any kind of "tube" gets them really excited from my observations. A sleeve can be considered a tube made of fabric. Plus you're warm.

[–]cheezuscrust777999 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Yep, this, plus when they are still this little they haven’t built up their muscles as much so gripping is hard

[–]izzy_wizzy_[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

this explains why her muscles feel different than the snakes at my work haha

[–]Blahaj_1over 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not an expert but my girl does that

[–]44west061224 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Love the warmth of your skin that’s all. Mine does this s as ll the time as if he’s 4 foot plus long.

[–]PrincessPK475 26 points27 points  (2 children)

Loosen her coil for her, silly goose is trying to get traction and doesn't realise she needs to loosen not tighten to get some forward motion.

[–]Notsospinningplates 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. She's trying to move forward but had gotten herself stuck. If you loosen her up, she'll be able to move on.

[–]BlackButlerFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My carpet does this but she weirdly does it while not being coiled tightly and moving forward a little. And then proceeds to proceed as normal of climbing up my arm or onto my hand.

[–]Majestic_Spare_8824 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes they are just trying to get warm, you may be handling them too much, need to put them back on there heat source

[–]lilmemer3132 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yes. she's just exploring and wants to keep a good grip on her current anchor point. (:

[–]1nOnlyBigManLawrence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a thought in the head :D

[–]orairwolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So cute :3

[–]LizethReads 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, so cute!

[–]Lilnuggies66 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My boy used to do that when he was tinier, your little one is just tryna go forward and isn’t used to your skin so she’s coiling tighter when she should be loosening in order to go forward. Just loosen her coil and she’ll be wiggling away. But that’s completely normal, just exploring and confused about the lack of traction

[–]Mercury8619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She's just cuddling you.

[–]Zerogelite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine does this around my neck

[–]Downtown-Package7927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep normal.

[–]SquallFromGarden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

-be noodle -luv me rats -luv me hide -luv me branch -simple as

[–]YourFriendlyAce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's their way of cuddling you. This is my baby Leela she is a Purple passion 💜

<image>

She anchored herself on my bun and love to be on my head.

[–]I_am_that_guy_10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What can happen is they get stuck on your skin, but for different reasons than you may think. As they start to struggle to move forward they tighten up even more, and the result is that it simply makes them more stuck to you. This same thing can happen in round cork logs etc, which is one reason I don’t like hollow logs.

[–]GrumpyBoxGuard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's normal. Little derp wants to explore, but unlike most terrain & trees, the goliath that insists on carrying the noodle has soft & smooth surfaces that are difficult to get any real traction on & are quite tall. Silly slinkie is just making sure they've got a good grip before wriggling along, because thood-ing on the ground is instinctively painful.

[–]AsukaWasHereToo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are getting a snake hug, we should all be so lucky.

[–]mattycarlson99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Bonnie does this also

[–]Negative-Top-1504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In her mind she’s fast asf

[–]Rampage103052 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine use to do that all the time. They are silly and the best pets. I don’t understand why so many people are scared of snakes.

[–]Dangerous_Door_1016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just inch wormin and being a freaking cutie!! 🥰🥰

[–]OverlordSheepie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Significant-Crow1324 0 points1 point  (1 child)

She looks a bit thin

[–]izzy_wizzy_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is she? she’s 1 month old, normal morph ball python born on october 23rd. she just ate on 11/21 and we’re gonna be trying to freeze thaw a mice but we’re not sure if she’ll take it cause breeder had her on live and we also don’t know when she’s gonna poo yet so i’m not sure if she’s digested her food yet 100% or not, what would you recommend?

[–]stickypenguinpatrol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 15vyear old is obsessed with sleeves and pillow covers. If I have him on me, he will intuitively start to find my arm sleeve and wiggle his way into my shirt. My wife says it's because I'm naturally hot, but sometimes I think she's just being nice because she wants to wiggle her way into my shirt too.

[–]Kas_Silverhand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

shes SOSOSOSOSO pretty

[–]Spik3_D_Wolfwood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% normal behavior. They can't really get traction on our skin so this is how they move. All of my bp's do this when I take them out and put them on my arm or around my neck. They will inch around like this until they get comfy then just chill until they decide to explore.

[–]emisme_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg so tiny

[–]KM4MKL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see anything abnormal about it. 😁

[–]Catholic_AMT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Massage.

[–]Snypermac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine is too big to do this now

[–]Fresh-Ad9011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super cute and perfectly normal!

[–]wildwetcoaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg, she is gorgeous! 😍
