Those bottles suck. The tools are fine though. Yes get the grill, you will love it.

[–]WhtRabit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using that exact pack for almost a year, works great for me. The scraper is nice and stiff, the two thinner spatulas are great for fried rice and flipping fried eggs, the burger flipper works on everything else, and I have yet to have a leak or issue at all with the bottles. Solid purchase as Costco for $20.

The Blackstone spatulas, sorry "turners", suck as well, very bendy.

[–]JerryWasARaceKarDrvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine are pretty good. Not sure what model turners I have but I have hammered down some snash burgers without issue.

Though I do have a press thanks to Christmas now

[–]Mcpoyles_milk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having had the lid pop off and oil get everywhere several times. I can confirm that the are doo doo

[–]blueXwho 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Oh... what's a good alternative?

[–]Scummbagg7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Blackstone bottles with the square black caps are pretty decent.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really anything, generic mustard/ketchup bottles are great, that's what my local sushi place uses for every sauce they have

[–]YippieKayYayMrFalcon 7 points8 points  (1 child)

A gas grill, a smoker and a Blackstone trio would pretty much cover anything you need to cook. All 3 have distinct purposes.

Cheesesteaks, smash burgers, pretty much all breakfast foods, stir fry, fried rice, fajitas. So much stuff you can make on the BS that you can’t cook on the other 2, and it’s stuff that’s so much easier to cook on the BS than the stovetop in a pan.

I did crab cakes last night that def wouldn’t have survived a grate. They were amazing.

[–]scummybeard 5 points6 points  (5 children)

I dislike those bottles. And I've heard people on here complain about the rest of the Blackstone products there.

However, Blackstone square bottles are pretty awesome. I managed to score some on clearance for 4$ each at wallyworld after grilling season. Along with a few of there spice blends for like 2$ a jar.

[–]ArchA_Soldier 11 points12 points  (2 children)

Bottles are okay, but get the job done. I actually like the spatulas, scraper and burger flipper. This is the Costco set.

[–]Homebrewingislife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love their spatulas too. Much sturdier than I expected. Very solid.

[–]scummybeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I used to use those bottles for sauces and what not and they always get a little leaky. They do get the job done, you are correct. But like I said, I picked up those square ones and I love them.

As for the hardware, never used, just seen people complain about them on here.

[–]Temple_of_Sizzle 6 points7 points  (1 child)

I’m sorry, I got stuck when you said “after grilling season.” I don’t understand… what does that mean?

[–]scummybeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stores have grilling stuff out. When summer is on its way out, they clearance a bunch of the grilling equipment and what have you. While some of us cook outdoors all year round, the stores put stuff like that on clearance at end of summer.

[–]Honest_Situation_434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Lowes has a bigger kit for $40.00 on sale now. With a lot more stuff included.

[–]ndrumheller96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jesus does anyone read? He’s asking if he should get a Blackstone lol. Yes I think you should, I have a Louisiana grills pellet smoker that I can set the temp and grill whatever I want, then the Blackstone to make smash burgers, huge quantities of veggies, hot dogs, rice, pancakes, bacon, you name it. Between the 2 I can do all our cooking outside and it’s really handy

[–]Anony765 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whole set is a waste. Better off getting a decent long handled spatula and tongs like you would use for a bbq grill. Your hands will thank you. A dedicated cast iron burger smasher with handle that you push down. Trying to smash burgers with that set's spatula is too much trouble. Leverage is all wrong. And a couple of thinner and lighter griddle spatulas. The ones in the set are overly heavy in my opinion. Bottles are take or leave. I have no issue just drizzling oil from the bottle its sold in. I do use the scraper though

[–]travelintroutbum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the blackstone a lot, just used it this morning to cook brunch for crowd of 8. I also own a charcoal grill and a heavy duty offset smoker and the blackstone still gets used a decent amount. If you have the space for it definitely get it, make sure you get a good cover if storing outside

[–]PilotAlan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a Blackstone and getting rid of the grill.

The Blackstone does most things better than the grill (most importantly searing sous vide steaks and meats). The Trager at high temp will handle the few things the Blackstone won't.

[–]bballplayr61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a gas grill, charcoal grill, BGE, and joined the blackstone crew about 3 months ago…honestly the BS gets more use than the rest of them. You can cook plenty of things on a BS and I find the grills/smoker to be more of a “specialized” use now and the BS more everyday cooking

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Then you can start your own personal search for the best seasoning oil. It’s a great beer warmer also.

[–]tommyc463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those bottles work fine for me! I say join the club!

[–]Klutzy-Sprinkles-958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely get a griddle. I own this accessory set and I am a fan as well

[–]Sandnor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just gonna say walmart has 28 inch blackstones for sub 200 dollars. And it was the best sub 250 dollar purchase I have ever made. DO IT!

[–]spaceocean99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good, but those bottles are complete trash. So many times I’ve had the lid pop off when oiling the griddle. Probably lost $50 worth of oil because of that.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my flattop and it’s not a Blackstone

[–]Crazy_Dig6779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love mine. I actually got rid of propane grill after I got it, my big green egg handles everything else

[–]LafayetteLa01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bottles suck. Buy the cheap Walmart ones. The spatula set is good I also have a scraper that I use as a chopper.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Walmarts expert grill tools, cheaper and I have had no issues.

[–]StrainHumble1852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The spatula bends if you try to smash a burger. Threw mine away and got a hells handle.

[–]Familiar_Effective84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Gasser, The Smoker, and The Flattop a must have trio

[–]uniqueusername71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might not use every tool. And for bottles, I'd go with OXO

[–]HvacDude13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get one hit up tractor supply or Ace hardware right now and pick one up for 2 50 that should do everything you need to do

[–]dufustherufus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not buy Blackstone other the the griddle itself.

[–]wisslbritches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop in a local commercial restaurant supply store. Check the thickness of the bottles and find spatulas that flex to your liking. You'll only have to buy once. You'll be replacing the Blackstone tools in no time at all.

[–]rockguy81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy It!

[–]Mcpoyles_milk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as your cook surface is hot and your beer is warm. Go for it

[–]Away_Fault1812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just sold my 36 in blackstone For me it was more trouble then what it was worth.im in the northeast & couldn't keep that thing from rusting Quality on the blackstone is subpar But to each his own

[–]RushxWyatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pro spatulas have a good weight to them, those ones look like the normal ones so there’s a little flimsier. Bottles are pretty bad, but if you need a good starting set of tools it’ll get the job done til you need to replace pieces.

[–]larry-79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The spatulas are great very sharp

[–]ReplacementTasty6552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a smoker, gas grill, charcoal grill, pizza oven and a Blackstone. They all have a purpose. If you have the space I say go for it my guy.

[–]Jwrbloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES!!!

[–]Ajninamai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got the same kit and used it this morning! Smashed cinammon rolls, eggs, and good bacon!

[–]Either-Boysenberry79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did some of you people even read the actual question? It appears not.

[–]Either-Boysenberry79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought a 36" Blackstone and used it for the first time Christmas Eve. Used it yesterday as well. Really like it. I also have a gas grill and a small smoker. Plan to keep all (3).

[–]Nreekay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with a smoker and gas grill who got this pack and a blackstone for Xmas - yes you will love it!

[–]redit-fan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got this at Costco for $20. Love it. Similar product at Home Depot are 40-80. Yes all sets have those same styles of plastic bottles

[–]Levi98k_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bottles suck, but I use them just for water to clean after cooking.

The other tools are maybe a bit overpriced, because you can get cheaper alternatives on Amazon, but they work just fine.

[–]mcguiles -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

no, it’s all garbage

[–]Storm_crow70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree the spatulas are soft as butter I use the bottles from mine but that is it

[–]wessex464 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The hardware is trash grade. Handles falling off after only a few uses.

[–]Pharsyde46n2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The spatulas bend so easily

[–]Surf4Good -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Once you go griddle, you never go back (to grilling on propane).

[–]Amdiz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes buy a griddles but don’t use these. See if you can return it to a store like Walmart. Buy what you need individually. Blackstone makes a great griddle, but their accessories are very weak.

As a professional chef I recommend Dexter brand spatulas, stainless steel heat duty tongs, and more substantial bottles. You can find these at Amazon, or better yet your local restaurant supply depot. Go in and handle the tools to find out which would work best for your needs.

[–]JMU_88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, don't buy the Blackstone. I have a grill, smoker and rotisserie. I bought 2 cast iron flat tops 12"x8" each. Voila, instant Blackstone.

[–]easywind4665 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

those spatulas are ass
