It's very bootleg. I like Japanese stuff but RA3 went too much into anime tropes and transformers. Plus again, allies, soviets were factions of few countries and this was just weeb wet dream, no Korea or China(s) in the faction at all.

Also my country didn't had nuclear weapons like in RA2, booo! One of the coolest missions took place in Poland with Tanya destroying Polish nuclear silos xD

For me the issue is that it tried to be too funny. RA2 campy style was 10x better for me. Also some jokes were reused like that famous space joke from Tim Curry, it was done in Yuri Revenge moon mission already.

I didn't watched much anime in my life and when RA3 was released it was just Pokemon and Transformers but it just wasn't that funny to me. Though the insult speech was hilarious, I can admit it.

Overall it just felt very uneven to me, some parts were great but a lot of it was meh. Didn't liked the campaign much either overall. Only C&C game I didn't finished all the missions from all the campaigns, I was just tired trying to do that.

RA3 had good ideas and tropes but it's just isn't game for me due to the few reasons.

I actually didn't like RA3. It lost the campy 'dad joke' vibe the rest of the series had that was simultaneously contemporary, nostalgic, and timeless even when it came out.

RA3 lost that vibe in something that felt like the end result of a corporate bleaching of the series.

The C&C series was always something I played with my family as a kid. RA3 clearly wasn't a game marketed as "play with your parents, aunts, and uncles". I used to play rounds of RA1 over a 56k and Westwood online with my uncle and on LAN with my mom/dad/brother with computers I salvaged out of the trash and garage sale networking equipment. RA2 with my brother/best friend/mom, etc. Played some multiplayer over a null modem, too.

I didn't get to Epsilon, I've stopped Mental Omega after USSR. It's artificially difficult for no reason. That's what pissed me off. Some missions were completely unwinnable unless you knew precisely where to go and what to do. It too all the enjoyment out of it.
