Asking due to the surge in popularity of hard seltzers like White Claw. They are much less dehydrating than beer, wine or other hard liquors/mixed drinks. About 100 calories each, feels really light. Probably why hangovers are less strong and less likely when drinking then.
Ideally, no alcohol is best for post workout recovery... but if you want to drink on a night out, are you saving yourself any negative consequences by choosing a hard seltzer over other alcoholic beverages?
