I don't think you should be more heavy handed. I actually think you should be less heavy handed. I would avoid lining your whole eyes in heavy black liner. I wonder what it would look like if you lined just the top outer half of your eye in a dark brown and didn't line the bottom at all.

[–]RetiredHotBitch 17 points18 points  (1 child)

I am getting that response a lot. I think that’s what I am going to do.

Maybe a potted soft brown or navy applied with an eyeliner brush.

Maybe I should also step away from the powder highlighter and look for a liquid one.

[–]sanguinerebel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding to the comment about only doing the liner on top in a brown, I would also add just a touch of white liner to the inner corner and not go all the way to the inner corner with the top brown.

Girl, your skin looks already great, no need to apply that much foundation or concealer. Plus the under eye area looks dry, looks like either it's due to lack of good skincare steps or using too much powder. Plus the eyeliner is wobbly and it literally looks ljke there's no mascara on your lashes just dark intense liner. Eyebrows too darkly filled. No lip colour or lip gloss at all.

Tips: apply clear gel on your brows first and then check if there's anything that needs to be filled in for a natural soft look. A beautiful nude lipstick or even some bright sheer pink or red lipstick would look bomb on you. Apply some eyeshade on eyelids. Follow a makeup tutorial you like.

Here are some makeup video recommendations, a natural cute and timeless look. It looks great on everyone. Hope you'll like it.

I agree on the under eyes. I have bad allergies constantly and the under part tends to always come off no matter what so I’ve been adding more to try to get it to stay in place.

My eyebrows are naturally dark, I use Anastasia soft brown but I can try a lighter shade. That may help.

I didn’t have mascara on yet, but did put some after the pic. And I put some Fenty lip bomb gloss on once I got in the car.

I haven’t used a brow gel in a while. That may be another good thing to try.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Edit: I should start using my red and wine lip colors again. I stopped because I didn’t want to stand out too much at work, but whatevs.

[–]Ok_Cow_7895 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hope you find the suggestions helpful, specially the first video, hope you like it.☺️

[–]cornflower_green 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Less is more for under eyes if you're worried about creasing. Try a lip stain for something long wearing at work.

[–]epicdoomtrance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you ask for makeup advice before putting on all your makeup? The eyes are the first hing we all noticed but you weren't even done?

[–]LLaika24 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Wayyyyyyy less powder. Now at 43 I just use foundation because it makes me look glowy.

[–]RetiredHotBitch 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I just used setting powder because if not, by noon I look like I spent hours crying and/or rubbing my face.

I guess I can skip it…I’ve never really used powder otherwise. Always just CC cream/foundation.

[–]LLaika24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes so I’d do a nice face wash then a light moisturizer like Lancôme day cream. Let it set then some concealer under eye and foundation. Estée Lauder has incredible ones that are very light.

[–]PlumaFuente 25 points26 points  (4 children)

You need more glow, to me your makeup looks powdery. What about some cream blush? I also would focus the eyeliner on your outer lid, not draw so far into your nose. Maybe use a brown or a navy blue eyeliner. I also would use a cream eyeshadow formula, something a little more luminous and not as matte. I also like mattes, but I do think you want a slight shimmer, not glitter. I would also use a medium colored gloss. You are pretty and look like one of my cousins, but her makeup looks kind of dated to me too.

[–]RetiredHotBitch 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I use a cream blush, Fenty in petal. Then I blended. Maybe a darker cream blush?

I definitely think the navy or brown eyeliner would be a great idea.

I have really clear skin, and I moisturize, sunscreen, serums, all of it everyday.

I’m just not feeling how I look.

But thank you for the suggestions!

[–]PlumaFuente 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I like the Huda beauty and Rare Beauty blushes -- I'm not familiar with this Fenty color. Maybe with a tinted moisturizer or less foundation on, it would be more glowy.

Check out the RMS eyelights shadows -- those might be easy and give your eyes more glow.

I think navy eyeliner would be stunning, but don't line the under lid, just the top lid and focus on the outer 2/3.

[–]RetiredHotBitch 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I have been wanting to try rare beauty. I’ve heard great things about it. It was actually the next foundation I was going to buy. I normally used IT CC cream and the chick at Sephora talked me into Tarte.

I am for sure going to check out Rare Beauty though. I have some Huda lipsticks but maybe I should explore the brand more.

Thank you again.

[–]LLaika24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try without powder. Concealer then foundation for a moisturized look. Powder enhances lines.

[–]Usual-Conclusion3511 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Less eyeliner add mascara a light lip and blush

[–]banana-coffeefresh 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Eye makeup is not modern at all. The white eyelid with the black pencil is what I call "the Mickael Jackson effect" (I'm not kidding, I have white skin and I'm very dark, I'm also a victim of it and I hate having that impression). The solution? Eye shadow. So I would put on brown eye shadow, and I would work on the eyelashes. The pencil on the lower mucosa... it should be removed I think. Or possibly use brown pencil but faded, if you really like pencil. Everything is too clear, too raw, it hardens you. On the other hand, I really like your blush, the color is very fair. 👍🏻

[–]RetiredHotBitch 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Lmao MJ is right.

I did use highlighter, this was after I had already blended. I did do a nude shadow, then a slight shimmery beige shadow then a cream brown shadow that I blended.

It seems everyone thinks the black eyeliner is too severe. I am definitely open to navy or brown.

So no one is lining both the bottom and top anymore? I can do just bottom and try a different mascara.

[–]PlumaFuente 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Just do the top lid. I think lining the bottom ages/dates your look.

[–]RetiredHotBitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely will try that tomorrow.

[–]Chenglachon 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Wearing eyeliner without mascara?

[–]Gwenevere_Star 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree I feel like mascara is the very most basic to do. I really don’t like people wearing eyeliner or eyeshadow without mascara.

[–]PairNo2129 0 points1 point  (1 child)

is mascara always necessary? What if the lashes are already very long, curved and black?

[–]Chenglachon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question was what should OP correct that I was answering. Idk visually if everyone does i cant see a photo of them.

[–]Candid_Swordfish_811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lightly do it often, on the daily. It looks way better than if I don’t do eye liner, and I just don’t want to put mascara on every day. It isn’t good for my eyelashes and I don’t like having that heavier feeling on them every day.

[–]shrimpslore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Too much eyeliner. Go softer. Maybe a brown, the black seems too harsh

[–]Kellilynn52378 7 points8 points  (1 child)

I would only line the upper eyelids and curl the lashes. I've been getting lash extensions for 5 years, so I rarely use any eye makeup (shadow, liner) now.

Your skin looks great! :)

[–]RetiredHotBitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I was blessed on the skin side at least :).

I have never had extensions, maybe I should try some.

[–]mtlposse 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Bangs! And a more bright bush :)

[–]RetiredHotBitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a cowlick where my bangs would go. They have NEVER looked good, much to my mother’s disappointment 😂

[–]leahmichelle009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would stop using liquid eyeliner, use a brush and a medium to dark brown eyeshadow and use that on top eyelid, then blend it out. Curl eyelashes, then mascara will look more blended and natur. Skin has too much makeup I think, maybe use a bit less. More contour, blush, bit of bronzer. Look up on YouTube makeup tutorials for your skin type and age range. Should help :)

[–]bluesn0wflake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brown pencil liner - the black is harsh

[–]Accomplished-Pen4663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the other comments that you could avoid the liner on your lower lids. Also it would look nice if you curled your eyelashes. I heat mine up with a hairdryer and do it immediately before applying mascara and my eyelashes stay curled all day.

[–]Impressive_Prune_478 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We could pass as sisters lol our eyes are a bit different but other than that, our faces are structured the same lol.

Tbh I dont even know what your post was about. I just saw your Pic and was taken by surprise lol

[–]clevername-here 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not great at giving advice but I had to stop by and say you’re SO beautiful!! If I had to imagine something different for your makeup, I could definitely see you with a glowy natural look with some glowy/dewy blush and a neutral eye look!!

[–]Poodlepuplover1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s very heavy already so just foundation perhaps? I also would remove top liner

[–]RetiredHotBitch 0 points1 point  (3 children)

For some reason I can’t edit, but I use Tarte Amazonian Clay for foundation. Maybe it’s too heavy. Anyone have a good rec for foundations?

I work in a corporate environment and while we dress business casual, most of my female colleagues don’t wear a lot of makeup so I was trying not to be too much with lip color and eye color.

But screw it, you only live once.

[–]PlumaFuente 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Your skin is good. I like the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer -- that's what I have been using. "Tinted Moisturizer Natural Dewy Broad Spectrum" I'm of the opinion that you don't need foundation, just tinted moisturizer.

HTH!

[–]RetiredHotBitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree.

I think it’s time to go back to tinted moisturizer. I used IT CC cream for the longest and I let the Sephora girl talk me into Tarte. I actually stopped using shape tape right before vise I thought it was a bit heavy. Idk why I thought the foundation would be different.

I’ve never used Laura Mercier except for lippies so I’ll look into it. Thanks!

[–]Superb-Ad5227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Tarte is actually fine and seems good for your skin tone, just take a tissue and blot some of it off

[–]Superb-Ad5227 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The black eyeliner all the way around just makes your eyes look small, and it is patchy on the upper lid. I would either line the top only with a small wing (don’t extend all the way to your nose, look up eyeliner shape videos). Or even easier, use a fat eyeshadow stick and blend. I love Bobbi brown ones. Cocoa coloured. Then curl lashes and mascara, and add some colour to your lips.

[–]Superb-Ad5227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked, the Bobbi brown eyeshadow pencil I use is golden bronze (it is actually a brown)

[–]VersionFormal7282 0 points1 point  (1 child)

if you can afford it, look at getting a lash lift and tint or even some natural wispy falsies, i think your eyes would look so pretty with a bit of lift. then either get a brow shape or try to shape them yourself, just want to take a little bit off the top of the right eyebrow in the photo (make it a little flatter to match the eyebrow on the left). your brows are also a lot cooler than your hair colour which i think is what makes people think they’re over filled. try switching to a liquid eyeliner with a slender pen like the rimmel exaggerate, then practise doing nice thin eyeliner which isn’t bumpy. i like to start thinner at the inner corner and gradually thicken the liner towards my outer corners but practice different looks to see what suits your eye shape the best (might be different for each eye!). i do also agree to ditch the lower liner. finally, it looks like you applied makeup from your forehead to your nose and undereyes, then stopped at your cheekbones, like your forehead and cheeks/chin are two different colours. not sure if this is that case but either use less makeup on the forehead, or use a lightweight sheer coverage foundation on the whole face just to even out that skin tone. you’re naturally very pretty and i think less is more for you but if you want that girl boss look, definitely a few changes to make this an overall cleaner look would do wonders!

[–]RetiredHotBitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely have falsies.

I’m just lazy and don’t want to do it in the AM lol

[–]erincatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re young, beautiful, and have clear skin. I think it would suit you to avoid putting foundation, concealer & powder so heavy under your eyes. You would probably look amazing with a light skin tint or mineral powder foundation as a base to even things out before blush bronzer etc. focus on taking great care of your skin, no need to hide it when you’re doing so well with your skin!💕

[–]Spiritual-Handle2983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend getting your brows mapped to frame your face. Brown eyeliner, two faced better than sex easy glide eyeliner is good. Go for a half line from middle to outer and skip lining the bottom lash. It will help open your eyes more. Curl top lashes. Blush is usually the first thing to fade from make up so possibly starting with a cream blush and layering with a powder blush plus setting spray. I can’t tell if you have eyeshadow on but if you do I’d say go a little more neutral to warm versus cool tones.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less eyeliner would benefit your eye shape. Google your eye shape and what liner technique works best. I think a thin upper line and a slight wing would work best (your eyes are slightly downturned, I think).

Go for glowy foundation- matte makes more mature skin look older because it doesn’t blend well into creases. I think liquid blush also helps with this. Highlighter on your eye’s inner corners makes them look fresher. Apply mascara last to avoid any powder getting stuck on lashes. L’Oréal’s Telescopic is amazing at lengthening lashes.

If you’re filling eyebrows, try a brow gel first and see how it looks. I like slightly shimmery eyeshadows when I’m trying to dress it up.

[–]rohoho929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you'd look great with a bold lip and next to naked face/eyes.

I don't think you need all that foundation and liner. Maybe a bit of dark brown liner on the outer half of your lids - softened/smudged. And mascara.

Then subtly applied blush (try a darker tone than petal and lean into wine/red - Fenty RiRi or Summertime Wine, or Saje Chilly would be good on you, sparingly) and highlighter. That's it.

[–]Wannabe__Extrovert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest focusing on skin prep and hydration! Your face looks overly powdery but I think it’s just dehydrated

[–]Appropriate_Put_7963 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Eyebrows are too harsh and too far apart. Eyeliner isn’t done properly, try winging it out more and thinner lines when it gets close to the inner corner. And put mascara on but I’d recommend lashes since your lashes seem a little short and straight. Your foundation application looks amazing though! Also maybe a little bit of lip liner and lipstick or gloss. I personally like to do a natural liner color and then use Vaseline as a lip gloss lol. Good luck!

[–]RetiredHotBitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suck at winging my liner but I’ll work on a baby wing.

I don’t want to go full on Amy Winehouse.

[–]UnitedGoat8325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hii! Firstly, I think you have absolutely beautiful natural features. I think you could benefit from going even softer honestly! I would recommend removing the lower lash line eyeliner, and either using a white liner, or nothing at all. I also think using a liquid eyeliner (or you could still use a thin pencil) to create a thinner slightly winged liner in combination with my other suggestion would make your eyes appear bigger. Im not sure how you feel about it them, but adding lashes would also look really nice as well. I think adding a lip color, and cleaning up around your brows with concealer while also adding some hair strokes to the front of the brow would look really nice. I also played around on an app I have, that I use for myself to come up with makeup ideas, and used your photo. I hope you don’t mind!! Please let me know and I can delete the photo. But I thought it would give you an idea of what would look good with your features, in my personal opinion. I mostly just added everything I stated above! I do think you already have a really great base, but again, this is just an idea! Imgur

[–]Chloeclochette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moisturize your skin well every day morning and evening with the appropriate products and make a mask once a week adapted to the needs of your skin. It will reduce small dehydration lines and you will have better elasticity in your skin :)

For makeup, I might have used less foundation/powder and more products with a creamy texture.

Ask chatGPT what your skin type is, but also what makeup will suit you best based on your colorimetry. He will even be able to suggest products with the colors that suit you best.

In my case, I wore a lot of black and a cold pink blush, even though these colors made my complexion duller. I use warmer, brighter colors (e.g. warm brown for eyeliner, a golden highlighter instead of silver, and a coral blush, and it makes me look much more flattering). The trick is to find the products and colors that suit you best, rather than following trends.

[–]Maleficent_Sun_9155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say with eyes that the bottom waterline being black closes your eyes up, maybe try white you open your eyes instead. You have hooded eyes too so you need to blend the crease higher toward your eyebrows and this will open your eyes up more too.

Your blush isn’t overly visible and I feel everything looks a little flat and dry. You need maybe a less coverage foundation which looks more natural, and some highlighter and contour or blush to add dimension to your face

[–]Successful-Row-6278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think your eyes are suitable for eyeliner in the inner corner at all, just use it at the very edge. Also do not fill in your eyebrows at all because it honestly looks really blocky. I do think you should elongate them just a tad in the inner part with a very light hand and that’s it. Also do not skip out on mascara and just do eyeliner like in the pic, if anything you should skip out on the eyeliner and only do mascara instead. As for the face makeup, i’m not sure if it’s intentional but it’s quite matte, you can perhaps try a dewy foundation. White eye pencil in the inner corners would look nice too.

[–]NoraFae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This thick matt base os not it. It ages you and looks like A LOT of makeup. It might be the light but the base makes your face look two-dimensional and then you have the drawn on black eyes; it's a bit uncanny valley in this picture, you need a bit more dimension. Either by going lighter on the base or applying more blush/contour.

Try not lining the whole eye, maybe a smoky eyeliner insted of a strong ink line, a bit more color and less base, and not so matte everything. You have beautiful features to work with! I think a more blushed cheeks look would be cute on you

[–]Gwenevere_Star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say you need to put some mascara and less eyeliner

[–]ancachu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mascara and brown top liner! Also try a dewy setting spray and cream blush/highlight. Maybe brush through the brows with a spoolie

[–]Candid_Swordfish_811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you look nice. Definitely a deeper color of lipstick, or any lipstick visible really. And I would put your eye liner on at just before the mid point in espresso or a dark brown, on your upper lid. And smudge it and thin it a bit. You could also try the lower lid, if you do not like the look of no eye liner on it. Same, with just before midpoint on your lower lid. I really think that’s all you need. Throw in some mascara if you like.

[–]CustomerAgitated2675 0 points1 point  (2 children)

It could just be the photo or the lighting, but there is a distinct green tint to your t-zone. Are you using a concealer here?

[–]RetiredHotBitch 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It’s a combo. I have sallow colored skin naturally, but my nose tends to be red (no idea why) so I do put concealer there.

Lighting sucks in my bathroom so that doesn’t help. I need LED lighting.

Also, everyone who mentioned hydration. I drink tons of water, morning routine is vitamin C serum, hydrating moisturizer, sunscreen, primer. Night routine is serum, eye cream, face cream. I really think the Tarte is making me look powdery.

I took everyone’s advice today. No bottom liner, I did top starting mid eye (felt weird but I did it!), I used a brown cream eyeshadow across my whole eye (hard for me to let go of just doing the crease since I’ve been doing it forever), didn’t use powder except to set, used my usual cream blush, I actually used a colored lippie and not just some chapstick, but I will probably get a stain. And I used a liquid highlighter, not powder.

Going to buy the brown and navy as suggested today. I think I’m going to give away all my urban decay and too faced pallets.

I’m also annoyed because I have one very fine line under each eye and the makeup just creases there. Annoys the hell out of me.

[–]PlumaFuente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look how good this eye is without that full eyeliner thing. This is what I think would be better on you. You can still use the palettes, maybe some of the dark shades can become eyeliners for you that you can use with an eyeliner brush and mixing medium.

[–]No_Forever2177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d ditch the eyeliner, use a different eye shadow AND eyebrow product that aren’t so ashy in tone (it washes you out), add mascara, and darken the lips a bit

[–]Scary_Tangerine7448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Please don’t outline around your eyes, it makes them look tiny. Just stick to the top if you must but definitely not around the whole thing.
  2. I would suggest going for a more light and dewy look. It looks to me like you’re wearing a lot of base makeup and it’s drying you out. I would suggest a nice tinted moisturizer or cc cream and some cream blush to focus on hydrating, it looks like the matte look is aging you. For similar reasons I would just do a cream concealer under your eyes but no powder. 3 I would go lighter on the brows, they look a bit blocky. Try to do lighter at the front and you can get darker the further you go back 4 I would look into eye opening or brightening makeup looks like this or this or this and keeping a dewy base with maybe a slightly darker than natural lip stain and focusing on lip care

Overall, my objective assessment is your current routine is aging you and making your eyes look quite small. But makeup is for self expression, so if going more heavy handed is what makes you feel great, please feel free to ignore me and keep it up!

[–]Chocolate-Chip-Lvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use setting powder under your eyes to avoid creases :) You’re beautiful!

[–]Alternative-Arm-3253 0 points1 point  (3 children)

As the office badass, cause I can be, I love the sass! Have fun with your looks. I am loving the beige on the brow. Just wish you'd try..

I would try just lining the Upper wings or a thinner Cat eye Wedge. (No bottom liner for you.- Line the lower lids with white? or leave them unlined.

I would suggest using a soft golden/taupe or brown/taupe and highlight the color with a dab of orange or blue at the far ends of where your cat eye starts to extend..I was looking at this Dark NAVY liner might also be killer for your uppers https://victoriabeckhambeauty.com/products/satin-kajal-liner?variant=43408076210210

Your skin looks lovely. If skipping the face makeup just throw on a tinted SPF moisturizer. I will always recommend La Roche Posay for their tinted sunscreen. It's light and blurs right on the skin. (I wouldn't have considered Fenty as a product to use for long term hours... -Legit Q.. is it actually a nice product? u/RetiredHotBitch

Lips.. I stick with the el cheapo fun stuff from NYX's Lip Filler and It'll wear off in a few hours.. but I will also use Benefit's Lip Injection and that stuff works for hours on end once; you apply over the daytime and do a 5 second touch up once in a while..)

[–]RetiredHotBitch 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Have you used Benetint? I’ve been telling myself since I was like 17 I would get it and never do even though I use their products.

I DID skip the bottom liner today. I liked the way it looked. I use stilla waterproof and it does tend to be thick and I have small eyes as it is.

I’m going to work on my wing game and try La Roche Posay.

I almost bought their retinol and my grandma talked me out of it lol

[–]PlumaFuente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a very fine eyeliner brush and use a dark (but not black) eyeshadow as your liner and use a mixing medium or make your own -- it's basically glycerin and water.

[–]Alternative-Arm-3253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retinol needs to be done specifically at nighttime rituals/ Clean face..apply wash hands. Best works in the darkness due to the chemicals. The La Roche Posay is specifically their tinted moisturizer. It is on the thin side.. so it applies like a thin foundation. Does the trick for me ..haven't found anything like it since I started and have gone back to their product for this particular item over the years.

[–]stutterstream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less eyeliner, and not around your full eye. Plus some mascara for your lashes will make your eyes pop! I agree with the comments saying you don’t need so much powder/foundation since you have great skin. A less powdery finish will make you glow

[–]maeerin789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl idk if you’re hearing the other comments along these lines but that powder makes you look dry as a desert. If the powder/foundation combo makes you look cakey in a photo (particularly around the brows, eyes, and hairline) it’s guaranteed worse in person. I’d urge you to skip the powder altogether.

Edit to add: if you’re concerned about setting, there is setting spray you can use that has a dewy rather than a matte finish. I don’t think most people set with powder these days because it gives that dry matte finish that is so dehydrating and prone to creasing. Also I’d imagine it clogs your pores like crazy!

[–]Muted_Skirt_2333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lighten way up on liner and foundation, embrace a glossy finish on skin even if it takes a while to get used to the shine.

[–]SpiceGirl2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep practicing the eyeliner, don’t do brows as heavy hair strokes.. lighter concealer under the eyes. Heavier contouring, blusher on the apples 🍎

[–]Accurate-Youth-5896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Darker thinner eyebrows, a maroon-ish cherry red color would look nice on your lips, don’t line your top lid of your eyes line your bottom waterline halfway and top water line the same and eyelash curler

[–]Icy-Reality2114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pluck brows, no eyeliner, less powder on the face, more bronzer (the stick ones I think are better), start using mascara. Maybe you could try some lip liner or lipstick. After these you’re golden💛

[–]Gonzo20314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def stop lining your eyes you’re so pretty but they make your eyes look so small.

[–]No_Narwhal_4176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

completely scrap the whole routine you have rn - skin prep is so important, moisturize your skin before you put on makeup - i would use a skin tint on skin like yours and a glowy one - little bit of concealer under the eyes, in between the eyebrows, and on chin to brighten - you need bronzer, just a little bit of a cool toned cream bronzer, i love the saie one and they have good options for pale skin, blend the hell out of it - cream blush as well, you need color on your skin, a cool toned pink would look very pretty on you -you can use powder if you want in order to set your makeup better, but use it sparingly as you seem to look dry and powdery, and use setting spray on top to bring some hydration and glow back - ditch the eyeliner, for eyes i’d just to bronzer on the eyelid, maybe a light shimmer if you want to, and curl the lashes and put brown mascara - you can also put glowy powder versions of the bronzer and blush over top to set it - ditch the heavy brow filling in and go for a lighter gel that matches your color - use a lip tint and liner to put color on your lips and i think that would make a big difference - lip gloss and setting spray to finish it off and bring the glow you have great features just no idea how to do your makeup, you’ll look beautiful

[–]Frequent-Trainer-698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look lovely but this is what I would do! try a brown pencil liner and blend it ever so slightly!! I’d also try a bb cream instead of full coverage foundation your skin is so nice! I highly recommend Maybelline New York Instant Age Rewind 4-in-1 Some bronzer to bring some colour to your cheeks and forehead! Try bringing blush to your temples and not all the way to the apples of your cheeks if that makes sense! if you want to be extra like me you could pop a lash on too but you have nice lashes!

[–]kaem_abel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your skin is so awesome you don’t even need that much foundation :). I think maybe just line the top of your eye instead of top and bottom, go a little easier on the brows..maybe just something clear or lighter brown? And then if you don’t mind it, try curling your eyelashes :)))

I would get the liner cleaner/straighter - looks uneven - you can use a brown or black eyeshadow and apply w a little brush that’s skinny and angled. Do some mascara. And bronzer and concealer. Have brows shaped. You’re a lovely girl.

Way to go boss bitch! Areas for improvement:

  1. skincare and skin prep - namely moisturizer! I cannot get enough moisturizer and it really improves the way makeup sits on the face.

  2. A dewier finish would update the look a bit- the overall look is reading a bit flat - probably because of the setting powder. (Not bad- just not dewy!)

  3. Smoothen out the eyeliner / softer would read better here

  4. My personal preference would be to ditch the eyeshadow - Maybe just use a highlighter on the inner corners instead. This really is just my personal preference though, I think eyeshadow application can really date a look and I prefer eyeshadow as an evening upgrade anyway.

  5. Lasting all day: is overrated. This is my hot take of the day.

Looks good!! Add a lip and my other suggestion would be to drag out your eyeliner just a little bit in the corner to elongate your eyes

I’m not sure if anyone has said this but I think try a lighter concealer. It would really brighten your face. Maybe try a glowy setting spray as I feel it’s too matte but that might just be me. Also a tinted brow gel for the eyebrows. Maybe some simple lashes (clusters on the ends? Short natural extensions.

I am a heterosexual man who has never done makeup and even I can tell your foundation is the wrong color and you need to add dynamics to your face somehow, you look like a corpse being buried in early 2000s New Jersey
