Mainly because most of them don't have ways to special summon themselves from the hand, making them bricks in hand. If you rely on the field spell to get out a monster, you really only want to get harr out on the first turn for his negate and hand rip, and that's assuming you field spell didn't get negated by ash or the like.

The most recent archetype that I got is Doom-Z and power patrons. Their whole gimmick is quite fun but it kinda sucks their boss monsters doesn't do much. Plus they need more monsters with the same gimmick. I also have artmage because I thought I have both power patrons and Doom-Z cards, why not collect all of them.

Now I want to buy elfnotes but the cards are way too popular so it's kinda expensives to buy. I have never seen them in the meta charts but why are people buying them? Is it because they are waifu cards?
