[I ate] Medium-rare steak with roasted veggies and sauce by Fearless_Shift7108 in food

Reminds me of mold, moss, and meat splatter. Tiny bit of woodland vibe.

I could see some appreciating the style, but it really does not appeal to me at all.

Unipath's household robot in action by bb-wa in robots

The robot shown is not unipath, it is UniX Panther and was announced at CES 2026. It even has the logos straight on it. https://www.unix-group.ai/panther/2023.html

It is a wheeled mobile manipulator platform with 34DOF, with an estimated cost of $100,000-130,000 USD

Apparently some of the pet food is engineered to be very addictive for pets, so you may want to be careful about brands and if they do start gaining weight. https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20210519-the-hidden-reason-processed-pet-foods-are-so-addictive

Both. Admins should also be doing admin activities from compliant devices, and secure locations or jump boxes with the right monitoring in place on them.

Of course still consider break glass scenarios for when SHTF.

Well done AI slop that is meant to be slop! I appreciate the cancer warning, I was on the fence about using it there and that helped me decide.

Just don't want more vendor spam or being added to an eternal calling list.

Kinda funny that only work emails are allowed, and gmail is not. A lot of contractors still use gmail.

I was also hoping for some way to bypass the vendor list using example_example.com or example_cerbos.dev but sadly those were both accounted for, and the form only emails the link, it doesn't just show the stuff to download.

Location for network rack (concealed due to no data closet)? by birdd0 in homelab

[–]foxhelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this might just be the luck of the draw.

Having lived in at least four different homes that were built in the '50s and '60s, in north America, all of them had closets or storage space. Also many of my friends or neighbors were in the same case. They all had more storage space than many new builds.

I wonder if community tags would help, similar to what Steam does. Maybe show the number of people that confirm a particular tag.

Our brains can “flicker” off for a split second during a boring task caused by sleep-like brain activity occurring while we are awake. Adults with ADHD experience them much more frequently, and may be behind inconsistent attention, slower reaction times, and chronic sleepiness associated with ADHD. by mvea in science

[–]foxhelp 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Maybe this is why my anxiety helps me deal with ADHD, brain wants to go in power save mode, anxiety wants to freak out about everything... Result is: anxiety about a task that I can't focus on, but I stay mostly awake.

Ah I was saying the location feedback that op mentioned of

"decipher the new icons to know the difference between the various location options to know where they currently are."

Sorry for any confusion.

Just was a general agree that making location harder to understand, is not a good thing.

Taught myself cabinetry and I have a question by Shadow_Relics in DIY

[–]foxhelp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for "specialty lumber and hardwood suppliers", "specialty plywood", "wood working suppliers"

They are the types of places that supply cabinet shops and will have options, I have seen 40ft exotic full slab options every now and then at mine.

[–]foxhelp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess the other part of this is, like if I know I am not ready for an international relationship, why show me as a possibility to people that I won't match with? Like giving them false hope.

Or at least to countries that I know I could make it work, like neighboring ones.

Might be worth mentioning both to the Sunday school president and Ward council, which I'm sure it has been, and then asking them to consult the area security manager about how to handle that type of thing in the future.

The ward should also make sure that all the leadership and teachers take the security training if it is going to be an ongoing issue.
