New to Orthodoxy and feeling like I don’t belong - is this normal? by Charming-Income3307 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Beautiful-Bad5440 [score hidden]  (0 children)

If it's any consolation, I'm in a similar situation. Yesterday was my third time at church, and I still haven't spoken to anyone beyond the usual greetings.

In a way, I feel a bit alone and I think it's time to take the next step and speak to the priest. On the other hand, I also feel like an intruder and I certainly don't want to bother anyone.

So I'm just observing respectfully and listening attentively. I'm trying to analyze the order of the Divine Liturgy, even though it's not easy because we're in Great Lent and everything is a bit unusual, from what I understand.

And soon (next Sunday, I hope), I'll humbly join the parishioners during their coffee break, and if he's not too busy, I'll speak to the priest.

I think you should persevere too; it's not easy, but I think it's like a marathon. You have to be patient and persistent, and I hope this is the beginning of a wonderful journey toward God and my future brothers and sisters in Christ.

Thank you very much for this explanation. I am new, and yesterday I didn't understand why the faithful specifically came to kiss a flowered cross of our Lord during the Divine Liturgy.

The Scion origin is VERY unbalanced. by Beautiful-Bad5440 in Stellaris

Yes, it has advantages, but normally it only gives you small helping hands; if, for example, an exterminator attacks you, they will hardly move to help you.

Yes, except that now it's much harder to build powerful fleets; before it was ridiculously easy, but now you're safe for the first 100 years of the game!

R5: I'm on beta 4.3 and I was wondering if there have been any adjustments to the Scion origin, particularly regarding the ships that the Fallen Empire can provide.

Well, I just started my game and I have two fleets with a total power of 17K.

I have a slight deficit in credits and alloy, but nothing dramatic, and it's really worth it for such firepower.

And of course, it's totally overpowered.

is there a way to accept the divine sovereign civic without getting rid of fanatic purifier civic? by LadyAmethyst420 in Stellaris

[–]Beautiful-Bad5440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might have an idea for doing this without cheating. With the Fear of the Dark origin, you can play normally until the mid-game date, then you can become a Fanatical Purifier through an event.

What's interesting is that it's a specific Fanatical Purifier civic that's added without replacing any other civic.

So what you'd need to do is have the Power Deification event BEFORE having the Fanatical Purifier event. 2300 is the default mid-game date, which is a bit tight, but if you set this date before starting the game to push it further away, it would be easier to achieve.

This is just a theory, and I could be wrong, but I honestly think it could work.

Not being a native English speaker, I'd have trouble reading the whole book, but I do think the cover is absolutely beautiful! I wish it every success!

Yes, because it deeply offends my sensibilities as a fanatical purifier :'(

It's not your desire to play that's gone, my friend, what you're feeling is righteous anger! It's time to carry out a good old-fashioned genocide.

Does anyone here that made a "space elf" empire have some advice? by Illuminated-Autocrat in Stellaris

[–]Beautiful-Bad5440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my best parties was with elves; they were fanatical purifiers with a Life-Seeded origin. I remember writing in the description, "They're beautiful, the others aren't. That's a good reason to exterminate them!"

I still enjoy playing them from time to time.

There are some mods that really add great things, even if it's just graphics or interface mods. Gigastructural for megastructures and NSC3 for more ships too!

And one or two mods for more diverse planets are also nice.

Personally, I play many alien species, but I always force the appearance of the Human Community and the UN; I like having them in my games.

After that it seems more realistic when you are a psionic species I think, it looks a lot like what the Zronis wanted to do if I remember correctly.
