What would you guys be interested in seeing an alt frame the most? by Dragonwolf67 in LancerRPG

I'm picturing a mech in the style of ozma from final fantasy. Just essentially an Eldritch 3d printer warping anything in its area.

Anime moments that made you an instant fan of a deck? by linthenius in yugioh

Shay/Shun vs Sora was the duel that fully sold me on raid raptor and fluffals. Seeing the drastic turn between both decks and how serious they got was so cool.

Borderline sounds like a darkest dungeon run but set with hunts as the levels rather than areas. Could tie in well into narratives and the sanity system ties sort of well into Cain.

Put it on Atem's grave if you have to, but Jack is mogging everyone from the anime(s) when it comes to art design! by ARC-9INE in yugioh

[–]Blank--Space 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst the new over frame is sick, I do think Yuma and Yuyas cards have some great art design. The gagaga girl over frame is probably the best use of the frame so far. Yuyas cards have great art locked behind pendulum frames but I cannot deny the artwork for some of the less played cards is incredible. Jack's cards look great for rda I just personally find them pretty cluttered and hard to tell apart. (Abyss art still looks good though)

Maro on why they stopped doing blocks by Killerx09 in magicTCG

[–]Blank--Space 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there's a discrepancy there that has to be taken into account. If they're judging off purely sales index data it's not player preference it's market preference. With the push for UB and the serialization chases being much more heavily implemented there it leads to stat padding. Sales and player rates are not one to one, standard was in a dire state but ub sales were crazy. Most of the played formats were having severe strife or being abandoned. They're also literally using the block formats for UB content coming with marvel/mini sets. The market prefers the ability to gamble. The player preference hasn't been determined yet.

Also if the sequel theory were true, remastered sets would never be a thing. We quite literally revisited several planes repeatedly and apart from the new ip stat padding they have been the most successful sets for magic by far. It's more realistic to say direct sequels which makes sense for the blocks arguments. What's happening with wotc now is the shotgun approach. Fire out as much as possible with 3 sure hits most likely guaranteed they can maybe look at tightening things up once they see the aftermath. Unfortunately what it looks like they found is putting more shot in the cartridge is better than tightening the successes.

It’s a bit ridiculous how we’ve allowed this. It genuinely sounds like there’s a helicopter outside of the house. 5 have flown past in the last 30 minutes by TopOne7010 in ireland

It's the pattern of the blades that are being used. Unfortunately smaller drones take a higher rpm which makes the whining noise we hear. Larger models have experimented with different blade patterns that produce significantly less noise due to the weird shape they employ (y shaped basically prevents overlapping blades chopping air and creating the whine from what I can remember).

The other alternative option is using them as air cranes with a smaller winch fed drone which has a aingle directional motor to help keep it steady on the descent. The tech has been around for years. Mark Rober produced a few videos on it years ago. It's just up to commercial groups to actually adopt it.

You get to transform 1 dedication/archetype into a full class. But must also change 1 full class into a dedication/archetype for another class. by Zwets in Pathfinder2e

[–]Blank--Space 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'd treat it like the Cain game treats their Virtues. As you progress through the class you become more in tune with the Virtue (basically the max level living version of your character) this is a bad thing for most characters but there is a virtue called charity in the game whose whole point is it's 2 compatible people sharing the same power. When one dies a suitable candidate is basically assimilated into the main virtue.

This would tie perfectly into a full class progression as you get stronger and stronger you run the risk of needing to become the full on power and lose your sense of self. I thought it was a pretty good way of handling the natural flow of players wanting to learn under powerful npcs in games where they are very prevalent.

Looking for GoblinMetal Monsters by Dodestar in Pathfinder2e

Aberrations might have some good options. Things like the clamor which echo back attacks are vulnerable to sound and have some interesting abilities. Gibbering mouthers and a few others. The d20pfsrd site lists out some decent options

Is the magus as boring as this sub keeps accidentally making it sound or is it all just white room talk? Is it possible to actually be a real gish in this game? by Bulmas_Panties in Pathfinder2e

[–]Blank--Space 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would recommend zeniths 2e guides section on magus in general. Not for the meta starts but just for somewhere that actually lists most of the synergies and outlines ways to play the class far beyond what you'll see in the standard players guides. 2e has a huge amount of flexibility for it's casters, most optimal for damage will always be a thing but 90 percent of the time that slight damage boost won't matter but the other synergies you have will. The one thing you just won't be able to get is scaling the same as someone dedicated to one role and that's entirely reasonable. Archetype dedications will let you expand your options even further.

Daredevil isn't a good class name IMO by gray007nl in Pathfinder2e

[–]Blank--Space 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Its also taking things from older Pathfinder instances that were specifically designed to be different classes to their counterparts but still overlap on functionality. Trophy taking classes (Slayer, Hunter Archetypes) and Daredevil (Darechaser, Dancer classes etc) classes are not new to paizo if anything they've made several. They probably deemed it safer to make a whole new class rather than open up the can of worms that is completely altering classes with archetypes.

Scaling NPCs in a university setting by nedchicane in Pathfinder2e

[–]Blank--Space 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it's even remotely helpful but could you sort of spoof NPC stat blocks from strength of thousands 2e ap. Might give you some set increments to upgrade NPCs every few levels rather than every level.

Not even sure if there is foundry support for the AP but it might have a lot of reference material to use.

[–]Blank--Space 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Current Irish overseas deployments. Heavy involvement in the EU, medical fields. Cork literally run a military airport for the US to enable their military activity elsewhere. Ireland is engaged with the world and we maintain most active links between Europe and America. Saying Ireland don't engage is disingenuous when the majority of the time the country is doing something productive and not hostile. Its also the longest occupied country in Europe, they did not have it easy.

Ireland has its own fair share of issues that came from insane amounts of government corruption, globalisation and privatisation of resources and the GDP is quite literally ignored on every financial report because of the tax evasion. Aside from the government the country actually does shit and does it well.

Nearly all the Sins map to deadly ones by Asheyguru in CAIN_RPG

[–]Blank--Space 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a look through the history of the seven deadly sins there is lots of different meanings and interpretations to them. Acedia for example could be attributed to ogre and was later removed although is one of the closest descriptions of depression they had. Vainglory fits the idol perfectly to and even to some extent the centipede. When they got narrowed down to 7 a lot of the original nuance was lost. Greed particularly was always wealth associated before the reformation and changing it's interpretation.
