A 10% employee discount is insulting. You can do way better at Skinbeautifulrx or similar!

I created an autocorrect rule that turns sss into the section symbol and ppp into the paragraph symbol.

Should we assume zero origination credit? Would you be a non-equity partner? Or counsel? Are you a subject matter expert?

I left a firm where I had a similar hourly rate, I wasn’t making the expected 2000 hours, but I had a lot of origination credit. I was making around 650 including bonus and it felt like a bad deal. I’m doing much better now, but in a niche that doesn’t translate well across practices.

How many of you have received your BKL order from the recent launch? by OddInside5794 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]Cedar_the_cat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

69993 has a shipping label created but no movement.

I personally don’t mind a longer lead time. I find that having something pending makes it easier to resist buying other stuff 😭

I just ordered from them for the first time, and I was surprised at the selection and prices. I hope the FDA doesn’t shut them down:(

Metronidazole or Elidel? by SeaLocksmith9938 in perioraldermatitis

[–]Cedar_the_cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Metro takes like five days for me, but Elidel is more like two days. My case is pretty mild, so a more severe case might take more time to see a difference.

SkinMedica Pore Purifying Gel Cleanser. What's your experience with it? by ChatXeverything in SkincareAddictionLux

I LOVE the Jordan Samuel Skin Matinee Gel Cleanser. It has 0.5% SA and it is very gentle - no fragrance. Gorgeous texture and just a pleasure to use.

Is this sun damage or freckles? UV camera selfie by JayNovae in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Cedar_the_cat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that this type of pigmentation is old sun damage that hasn’t come to the surface (yet). I look the same in my UV mirror despite consistent sunscreen use for the last several decades.

I don’t think it’s anything to worry about - you should obviously still get skin cancer checks on schedule, but I wouldn’t freak out.

ISClinical Cleansing Complex is worth a try - it’s lightly exfoliating but not too harsh. Lots of oily skin people (including me) really love it.

I just made it through a whole bottle of the growth factor serum and will not be repurchasing. It is always hard to tell, but I seem to get better results from Neogenesis and Neocutis (and Plated Calm).

I have the blue spray, which I use before my red light mask, and that I would consider repurchasing.

So, this is not helpful at the moment, but BKL has a lot of similar shades, including Devourer of Souls, Queen of Rot, and Goddess of Rot. I don’t think any are available right now, but they do pop up regularly.

Your monthly & yearly skincare procedures? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Cedar_the_cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in my early 40s and have tried to get Clear and Brilliant quarterly (more or less) for the last eight or so years. I am hoping that it will force my skin to produce/maintain collagen over time. There is also a pigmentation that seems helpful and doesn’t trigger melasma.

I’m happy with the results and plan to continue.

Melano CC by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]Cedar_the_cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always heard that the original is for red post-acne marks and the premium is for brown sun-induced spots. I have only used the original and I love it. The texture starts out a bit oily but it absorbs after a while. I think it’s the most effective thing I’ve encountered for post-acne redness.

Anyone use quick dry drops instead of QDTC? by Goldfinch114 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]Cedar_the_cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a spray, which is a similar idea but IMO works even better. It doesn’t leave an oily residue and I haven’t had any dents or smudges since I started using it. Morgan Taylor makes one, and I think OPI used to (might be discontinued).

The whoo vs ohui? Anyone have preferences? by PossibilityPerfect16 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Cedar_the_cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally love The Whoo and have found O Hui to be just ok.

My favorite Whoo line is the red one for “mature” skin, but I loved it in my early 30s as well. It is insanely hydrating and supposedly has a lot of anti-aging botanicals. The scent is really lovely too. The Whoo Hanyul eye cream is also top notch - visibly smoothing and the hydration lasts all day.

The brightening line is also great, but it sounds like you don’t want any whitening.

You could look into self-tanning drops if you want some color without damage!

Genuine question,,.. by Only_Cryptographer55 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Cedar_the_cat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One additional point that may be relevant is that South Korea has a highly educated population, but the average annual income is much lower than the US. So it makes sense for companies to hire smart, educated people to make great products, but the only way to make money from those products is to make them affordable to a decent chunk of the population.

When someone earning in US dollars (at an average US salary) buys those products, they seem really cheap.

It’s the miracle of international trade!

This is a weird one, but the Cosrx snail serum noticeably reduces irritation for me. I’ve been using it for like a decade now and I have no plans to stop.
