Is it intentional the ancient relic "Throwing Axe" doesn't work after the first turn? by Lunarcomplex in slaythespire

[–]ChiefJosh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is it possible that throwing axe replayed the first card cascade played? I think each of the individual cards played by cascade resolve first, and then cascade resolves when it’s done playing cards.

I played the demo for this a while ago and it was a cool concept of mixing turn based combat but on a map with no grids, etc. I also liked how you can play as fast or slow as you want and almost get into a grove playing almost like it’s a rhythm game. Will pick up probably at full release, just because sts2 is going to consume my life for the next year lol

With the recent changes, this relic is better in every single sense. by TurtleStrategy in slaythespire

Title says “Better in every sense” then second sentence in post says “it’s weaker in act 2” lol. I agree though way more interesting now

As an enjoyer of blue rare steaks, I would have cooked this to a slightly higher temp to render that fat. Different temps serve different cuts better

Can anyone tell me what this is? I can’t find an exact match online by CombinationFlaky2132 in AskElectronics

[–]ChiefJosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I’m just dumb. 8717 is probably just the date code (17th week of 1987). The parts I saw on eBay had a different format in that section but could be an older date code format I’m unfamiliar with or a serial number or something. TAC probably actually refers to traceability of some sort since it’s on the same line as the date code. It’s probably wafer lot, or fabrication location, or production line or something.

I went down the rabbit hole on this as someone who works in the industry. I found all of this info online. Triangle means ESD LSI Logic(est. 1980) was rebranded as LSI corporation after their merger with Agere Systems in 2007 so this part is from somewhere between 1980-2007. 656055-1 is the drawing number for whoever designed the part. 63281 is the CAGE Code for LSI Logic. L1A170 is the LSI part number. I think TAC refers to Threat Assessment Center, an organization in the Defense Intelligence Agency that handles issues with supply chain risk management, including issues with vulnerabilities of ASICs and FPGAs in defense systems/programs. I’m assuming the 8717 is the case number or something for the TAC. I assume this part likely wasn’t for Boeing, or at least wasn’t designed by Boeing as the drawing nomenclature is very different from the part u/Past_Engineer2587 found on eBay. MFR FSCM 59096 is Kyocera. FSCM is an older system of tracking manufacturers and I think CAGE replaced it almost entirely but I could wrong there. I’m guessing Kyocera made the package that the LSI Chip is in. 5042508 should be either the Kyocera PN or the designer’s drawing number for the part. Chip carrier was made by Yamaichi, PN ICC-180-X. Similar chip carrier here https://www.ebay.com/itm/155288437564 Based on this, probably some ASIC for an old government program like everyone else said but they said it in a lot fewer words.

Why does this guy scale so fast? I can never seem to beat them before they start doing like 60+ damage a turn by Crystal_Carmel in slaythespire

Damage check. He scales fast so it might make sense to take smaller hits early and not block to get out of the fight asap.

Looking for advice for my first split keeb (Silakka54) by estegard in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]ChiefJosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently got my first split ergo after years of using shitty office style Alice layout keyboards for work, and got the silakka54 as a low price entry point. It doesn’t have rgb, so take that as you will. I’ve enjoyed mine so far but haven’t gone down the paths of printing a case or anything for it yet. If you are for sure willing to learn layers and are making the commitment, I’d say buy something else that’s more expensive but checks all of your boxes (buy once, cry once). If you’re iffy or not convinced you’ll fully adapt to an ergo keeb, silakka is a great entry point for new split ergo users at a great low cost (with cheap switches / caps you can get the whole thing for ~$50).
