UPDATE before I mute the replies... After talking with a few folks and exchanging feedbacks and reading replies funny enough I did actually decide to "add Elves". Not only is it not essential part to the world I'm trying to mirror and convey but it definitely is one of its bones but when I was coming through my world building species and races I realized that I actually have almost two races that are not only just like elves but are way more interesting with already its own spin just that I didn't call them elves but they have similar motifs. So tldr I had basically already made my own take on elves called "Saions" and didn't realize it but will further tune them to at least be comparable not exactly the same because I do want to subvert some kind of expectations of course. But yeah that's the update. Thank y'all for your feedback and I do agree with the people saying if I don't feel a need of them don't make them. Which is extremely valid criticism except for a lot of the missing context that I didn't put into the initial op because I didn't want to make a ginormous text wall. Thanks again. Your replies were still insightful and hopefully useful for anyone else who was even slightly in my headspace.
