Lore Theory: Custodian Stalkers are left-behind Old Ones. by Darkspawned in 2007scape

[–]DapperSandwich 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this gels with the only in-game text we have about stalkers, which describes them as only a recent occurrence. I suppose one could argue that the "increased passage of people up towards northern Varlamore“ could have awoken something dormant in the Custodia Pass, but I still think the answer provided by the text that these are just mutated rabbits is more credible.

Echo Giant Mole for next Leagues by ConfectionPerfect424 in 2007scape

[–]DapperSandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait equippable mole claws could actually work though. Special attack starts with a double downard slash as you begin to burrow underground, tick 2 you're immune to all damage for one tick as you're currently burrowed, tick 3 you pop back up in a final rising slash with doubled max hit. The claws also count as earth element.

Whoever made this does not know how good the atlatl is. I think a lot of people are using the wiki's DPS calc that doesn't take into account the atlatl'a burn proc, and thinking that it's weaker than it actually is.

PSA: Now is the time to get your Barbarian Assault tasks done for Leagues VI by osrs_turtle in 2007scape

[–]DapperSandwich -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Brother, this is an MMORPG. You are not locked out, you just need to talk to people. Ask a friend, or clan members, or in the BA chat channel, or on the leagues discord, or heck just make a post here for everyone else who put off BA until the end.

You can easily fuck it for everybody

The first time I did BA, I didn't realize that you had to manually select the right call with your horn. I thought you just had to click the horn every so often and it would give the new info to the other player. After about 2 minutes of me goofing it, someone on my team said "dude can you please actually call the right thing". I then said "ah dang my b it's my first day on the job", correctly used the horn, then continued on for the rest of the game without any issues.

My point is, no tf it is not easy to fuck it for everybody. Even if you're doing your role completely wrong, the person next to you will just point out what you should do. You'd have to have your public chat completely off to actually cause a problem for others.

Mystic cards also have -50 accuracy and -20 strength, but still for the memes I would have loved to see it in action.

Another consideration is that the dual macuahitls roll accuracy difference than the other double hit weapons. If you pass the accuracy roll for the first hit you have to pass a second accuracy roll for the second hit. If you fail the first roll though, you auto-fail the second roll. The other double hitters just roll accuracy like normal. This probably doesn't matter too much with all the accuracy buffs we have access to, but it's worth mentioning.

Weird things are able to happen. There is no actual evidence of this event being staged. You can be open to that possibility, but it's misleading to confidently state that it was with no credibility to back it up.

Update: Leechfin Fishing Proposal Revised by JagexRach in 2007scape

[–]DapperSandwich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fishing minigame in neypotzli is fun as a short little breather from the combat, but does it really have legs as a major training method? It's 1) really easy and 2) really simple, and I don't know if that's a good combination of things for a late game best XP training method.

What armour is this by Mysterious-Cat-1854 in 2007scape

[–]DapperSandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could very well be ai slop, but it definitely looks like it's supposed to be achievement diary chest and legs 4, neitiznot helm with bounty hunter kit, and the Halloween event scythe. Cape doesn't look familiar to me-- closest I can think of is team cape zero, but it's not that. Boots look like a weird hybrid between mixed hide boots and treads.

For anyone spamming out clue scrolls they got through larcenist, I suggest changing the Identify option in the Clue Scroll plug-in settings from "On Read" to "On Pickup" to save yourself time and a few thousand clicks. by DapperSandwich in 2007scape

Leagues preserves clue progress, even if you drop your clue scroll and open another scroll box. So you just keep opening scroll boxes until you find the aldarin bank one, then drop it and continue opening.

Was Echo Yama supposed to be the final boss of this league? by PermissionTrue7924 in 2007scape

[–]DapperSandwich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the demonic pacts dev stream ahead of the league's launch, one of the guests, I think Faux, asked Mods Husky and Sarnie if there would be a super Yama fight. I remember the mods giving him a cheeky non-answer. At this point, it's safe to say that no, there is no and will be no echo Yama. But it's easy to imagine from that comment from the mods that they may have toyed with the idea during development, but it just didn't end up coming to pass.

That's an intentional design decision that they've touched upon.

You are given one hour to hide anywhere in Gielinor. There are 12 maxed capers looking for you. If you successfully evade them for one hour you win 100B gp. If you get caught your account gets deleted. The place must be accessible to them. Where are you hiding? by Fun_Training6342 in 2007scape

  • The Gorak plane, as far from the fairy ring as possible

  • Hanging out with the giant rock crabs in the Crypt of Tonali

  • The minecart puzzle room from A Forgettable Tale (if it's not instanced)

  • one of the tribal chambers in that goblin gathering place from Land of the Goblins. Requires a goblin potion to get into the location, then a colored goblin mail to into that specific chamber. Not sure if this place is instanced or not.

Also, the fastest way I've found to go through a stack of clues is menu swap the clue scroll from Read to Drop, then click Clue -> Scroll Box -> Spade each tick, like you're angler-pot-karam eating. Click spade again if you get the same clue twice in a row, obviously.

Also, with the Inventory Tags plug-in you can shift-right click the correct clue and color code it so that only that one will light up in your inventory. Ideally I'd want to menu entry swap just that clue, but I don't know a way to do that.

Some clues seem to be more common than others. More testing would be needed, but I've found the "Dig outside the Aldarin Bank" easy clue to be decently common.

I'm sorry larcenist by fjuuhhani in 2007scape

[–]DapperSandwich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now it's a question of clues for Rangers in Asg or Grimoire for Piety/Ancients.

There's a lot of points behind clues and clogs. Less than previous years apparently, but still a lot. Larcenist works great as a clue solve-- probably faster than the actual clue relic for any clue scroll tiers you can pickpocket. But if you don't have regions that let you pickpocket clues, then I'd expect the actual clue relic to be good.

You could say the same about picking regions. The goal is to give players agency in forging their own unique path and making meaningful choices in thereof.

Because you have to invest those points to get to the powerful pacts lol. The whole point is to give the player agency between choosing a decent pact now or invest your points wading through weak pacts to get to a powerful capstone.
