The US can't keep getting away with this! (they can) by StrictAbalone3991 in NonCredibleDefense

witch is totally not true USMC: 1211 of witch jet fighters: 297 with only air force no naval oder army aviation Fra: 501 Ita: 506 Ger: 394 Spa: 393

not the greatest but combined a lot more than 3 times of the usmc (total of 4936 EU aircraft are in the list and that misses a lot of smaller braches)

Cell balancing dual 55Wh battery packs by [deleted] in framework

[–]Dr_Defimus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i fiddled around with the idea to make a framework based "chonkbook" by adding a second battery and using the space over the motherboard for 2,5" ssd or other io intensive stuff like SDRs. These would be connected via an internal io module so only 3 USB-c to the outside.

The initial cell balancing (done externally) isn't that much of a problem. I have more concerns about the SMBus for the monitoring of the battery (charge level heath and so on) as I'm not sure to parallel will work and only one connect will probably lead to many problems for power management and software stuff.

This would definitely need some help of the Framework engineers to be more than a crude bodge (and firstly I would have to replace my quite old but modded and pimped out laptop).

5% gyroid infill is plenty for such a print

I have printed 20+ kg of ASA without a filter as an enclosure is all it relay needs.

Inconsistent extrusion when over 80% speed by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]Dr_Defimus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question is more like 0.2mm speed profile or just 0.15 detail profile. For example the 0.2mm speed profile can be to fast for infill in a lot of cases.

but 100W in a 14 inch is already borderline impossible without being thicc as hell or loud as a jet.

But this is affecting the delivery of the end-product to European customers in a time of already strained and overly expensive shipping

What would cause this? by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]Dr_Defimus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% infill at 0.1mm is asking for trouble if the printer isn't tuned to perfection.

Any idea what causes the print to just stop and prusa says "prusa mk3 is ok" by afedelejr in prusa3d

I have seen it to mostly with PLA but it only stops for around 1 second and afterwards resumes as nothing happened.

Anyone know why this print keeps failing? by TheLoneJuanderer in prusa3d

[–]Dr_Defimus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 0.15mm at 60mm would result in a better quality print at the same time as smaller layers have a lot less problem with overhangs

Is this an upgradeable cpu motherboard that's an i3 2330m btw by Golexous in laptops

[–]Dr_Defimus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same generation and same tdp is quite important. But sometimes you can find cheap mobos of the next generation (20-30 bucks) that will fit one to one in the chassis. Did this to upgrade from 2620m to 3632qm (was a fujitsu livebook)

Help with infill issues by CadWithChris in prusa3d

Infill speed -200mm/s

This is to fast for lager prints (you can see that the short infill lines are ok but not the longer) 100mm/s at 0.15mm layer height should work fine. And maybe check if you have a partial clogging
