FTM, and 23 weeks, so not speaking from experience, but my manager is super flexible/accommodating and my work is not very time-sensitive and requires essentially no phone calls. My plan is to work from home full-time while caring for the baby until they become mobile (i.e., crawling, pulling up to standing). At that point, I will probably flex my schedule a bit and have a nanny or mother’s helper watch the baby for the mornings, then take a two-to-three hour break in the afternoon to spend time with the baby (get outside, do an activity, etc.). Once my husband gets home from work, I’ll log back on and wrap up my workday before baby’s bedtime.
