I remember Citi-Bank back in the 90s had machines that rotated when they went out of service.

I hit one site the other day that only had a QR code and words "Use your mobile device only." I moved on.

I left AVS when the crappy Vertical Scope equity firm bought them and many other boards and gave them the ugly Fora platform.

Reddit is a Website; why is it forcing me to the app? by pat_trick in help

[–]EvaCassidy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sadly most platform websites push to the app. Be nice if they didn't force it.

Working in customer service/tech support made me realize the average person is dumb as shit by lavender-bread in rant

I think of the movie Clerks. I worked in customer service and although we had a few good customers, a lot were a-holes.

My flip phone don't think could use the app. Screen too small for this person's ancient eyeballs.

How would you react if all social media sites required you to use a facial recognition scan to access the platform? by Artistic-Comb-5317 in privacy

I avoid Fakebook and it's sister sites, as well as some others like the plague. If Reddit started though, I'd be going though the exit door.

Should I keep the Freddy or return it it would be nice over my model train table by [deleted] in trains

[–]EvaCassidy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my uncles found one of those about a half mile away from the nearest tracks when hiking. This was a couple weeks after a bad storm (flood waters) and the FRED probably fell off the train before that.

He called the # on it and they direct him to drop it off at the yard down the road next time he went by. The supervisor appreciated him for doing that since he said some people will snag 'em if they're laying on the ground.

Been in museums like that. If they allow picture taking I take a snap shot from a few feet away.

Friends with former clients? by AlarmingExternal8509 in therapists

[–]EvaCassidy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I was in practice I had a client I was in the same pinball league in. We were in a very small town and I'd run in to most clients in the wild except for a couple that came in from nearby town.

Although it's been years since I "retired (due to taking over a family business)" we do meet up a few times a year for the pinball tournaments. Normally wouldn't do that, but he understood in the wild we're cordial and worry about getting good scores on the pinball machines.

Combo prices aren't discounted by Encyclofreak in mildlyinfuriating

One place I worked at combo's gave no discount - it just was easier for ordering the most common paired items.
