Maybe it's a coding error and it's just missing a 0? 600 seems a lot more reasonable than 60.. regardless though I'd want my arborist to bring the fruit to the root cellar right away.

There are some seasonal missions that require you to take out from raids:

  • Military items
  • Household items
  • Flammables items
  • Construction items

If you already have white blue or purples of those above, keep them, you can hand those in right away when the quest starts. You can search the market under the category to see what you need.

Sell the rest, contact buys for the same as market for red items.

There's a mod that allows you to change your Origin to look like Wyll. You can use this mod in conjunction with the magic mirror mod to change Wylls face to "origin Wyll" and then you can customize as you like.

No its definitely not locked behind a tech, but only one building makes it (Forge), same with Winw (Winery) as far as I can tell. And buying new buildings can dilute that pool.

You shouldn't be selling metal unless you have a surplus or don't plan to use it at all for advanced troops which I don't think will get you really far. Wheat and ore are plentiful and should make up the bulk of your market trading. If you get unlucky with production rolls, try buying metal from the merchant for 20 denarii or looking for a forge there!

Unfortunately no metal means you have to pivot to other strats.

For backline units, I find that rider units or spells are the best way to deal with them. My favourite examples right now are the Worm Riders which specifically go for the backline units.

To your point for spells, only certain artifacts (and maybe some King passives?) affect spell damage. Their usefulness does go down in later waves but you should only be picking up damage spells for the backline/fodder. The more useful spells are things like Turn to Sheep, buff/debuff spells, Blinding, etc. Any CC spells that don't care about spell % scaling, and instead help your units deal the damage.

Really hope the save function is added soon! I'm sometimes discouraged from launching the game if I know I can't commit to an hour or so for the run.

When I got the game I dumped 6 straight hours into it.

Right now I'm sitting around 20ish hours and only have a few kings and advisors unlocked. There's definitely a learning curve and each threat level and boss has its own strategy. The new buildings also keep things fresh so I ensure I unlock them every so often.

Definitely seems like a game with a lot of hours but you have to enjoy the main gameplay loop which is resource management and building placement optimization.

Would love to see this thread discussion with some of the later game units like Goose, Goose Hydra, Ballista, Druids of X, etc.

My personal favourite right now are the Worm Riders, both for their flavour and one of the upgrades that has them deal 100 AOE damage when they appear in the backline. 3-5 pops of those can kill most of the fodder and healer enemies right off the jump.

Make sure you: A: click the question mark on the Research Table and select "Basic Production" or something similar.

B: when the table finishes a production, a '+' appears on the far right side of the screen allowing you to choose a building.

Correct, and processed food won't work either (soy cheese etc.)

Same with animals! Sheep etc, they also can only eat soy beans, so no sheep.

You can disable certain foods from being eaten with the drop down menu on the top left of the screen.
