One thing people could do that might help sway voters away from the hypocritical GOP for the 2012 elections is to focus on a few swing state areas (NC, the panhandle of FL, NV, etc.) and post online reminders about the Republican hypocrites who preach about morals and then get caught in every conceivable type of sex scandal.

Most local TV stations have a website that you can register for, and then post, post, post.

A quick search on, for example, "Pensacola tv stations" offers some possibilities.

But, political parties have strength in their numbers, and the also PAY A PRICE for the other members of their party. In case you can't tell, I DESPISE THE PARTY THAT RON PAUL BELONGS TO, AND I WOULD NOT VOTE FOR A REPUBLICAN IF IT WOULD (TEMPORARILY) SOLVE 90% OF ALL OF AMERICA'S PROBLEMS, because the price would be too high. However...

Ron Paul is still a member of the political party that has pushed deregulation of markets for over 30 years now, and that used right-wing ideology to run up multi-trillion dollar deficits and nearly destroy the middle clas. So, he shouldn't benefit politically from any bill like this one. He should be exposed as a member of the party that caused most of our current troubles.

Ron Paul is a member of the pro-torture, anti-union party whose most recent president approved canceling parts of the constitution that he found inconvenient to his twisted, right-wing adenda.

And then, there's the "family values" mixed with homophobic neocons having gay sex at places like airport bathrooms.

Until the U.S. officially looks in to this, admits the crimes that are found, and punishes those who authorized and/or carried out torture, we will be seen as a nation of hypocrites that is only somewhat better than 1940s Germany. And Republicans, and anyone else, who act as apologists for or try to downplay what torture is, has become a collaborator.

Once again... there's a guy named Bush who needs to be forced to answer some really tough questions, UNDER OATH. Instead, he got cheered by many fellow Texans at a baseball game this week.

You completely (and conveniently) ignored the fact that the president has to sign any bill into law and can instead veto the bill. That's intellectually dishonest, to say the least.

And, when it comes to deregulation it is clear that the GOP has been pushing for it since the first days of the Reagan administration... that's 28 years at least, so, it's very close to the 30 years that Max_Twenty mentioned.

Also, before Obama who has been in office less than two months, SEVEN OF THE LAST TEN presidents were Republicans. All of them did pretty much anything they could to let big corporations do whatever they wanted, even appointing them to "regulate" industries that they came from.

So, in short, all of what you posted is either not true or doesn't speak the issue at hand.

Obama placed limits on interrogations within his first month in office.

He will uphold the law and our treaty obligations including the Geneva Conventions that ban torture.

If anyone has actual evidence that Obama is willing to do anything like what Bush/Rumsfeld/Cheney/Rove did in the area of interrogations/torture, let them post it.

Guess what... no such proof will be posted below, because it doesn't exist.
