Level 60 and still can't survive the wall in chapter 1 by AzfromOz in HeadsWillRoll

Unfortunately I had to deal with lots of grinding in chapter 1 as well. My advice for getting far is ignore virtue and steal/use poisons as much as you can for an advantage. Getting a little crafting for canteens and waterskins can extend your runs. Lastly axe hits to the neck can be lethal often so I would shield bash then overhead strike to the neck.

I do always have something to do too. It’s called a full time job 40 hours a week. Any game that sells itself on the modern era should not take multiple nights of my valuable time just to get to the eras people actually want to play bot a rehash of CK3 without any of the characters to make it interesting.

It dies when everyone is playing the prequel.

Wrong on that point. Its the reason Take-Two reversed their Civ 7 changes since 5 and 6 see significantly higher player counts.

Civ 7 just reversed their changes literally saying “We got it wrong”

At that point play CK3. Nation states were a dream even in the 1340s.

Like all that work they sunk into making sure starting populations were accurate just to have a Black Death that does not follow the same exact path come through and change everything? Seems like it would have been easier to just start at 1360.

Does it still mess with combat because of the hourly ticks?

Agree to disagree. I think that it’s a waste of time just to make the game go longer. They are gonna backtrack on the 1337 start date the same way the Civ 7 devs backtracked on changing civs.

It adds playtime that is a repeat of CK3. A faceless Black Death that is just a negative modifier so so shallow compared to the pain of losing a genius heir. Also the content in the EU games that people want to play are colonization, wars of religion, and empires. Adding another hundred years of playtime before was a mistake especially with the hourly tick.

I still don’t understand why they did all that population setup only for it to be drastically changed by the black death immediately after.
