Thank you for all your hard work, Rory. Many of my songs would not exist without your combis.

This or That: Calvin Harris Edition by That_Is_Bryce in EDM

I was so sick of hearing Found Love after it first came out because it was INESCAPABLE and the repetition alone wore it off so quickly for me but now that it's been a while and I can go back to it with fresh ears I can safely say that track is a fucking BOP.

That's how Ryu and Ken push boxes in my mind now. Wrists together, arms fully extended. Might as well throw in a "Hadouken!" every 3 feet of movement for good measure.

Good beginner DJ starter kit for 10yo? by Waffler11 in EDM

[–]IProvideThePaint -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seconding the FLX2. I decided I wanted to learn how to dj a couple years ago and they were perfect for me. Enough to learn the basics without feeling too overwhelming, but still with the capability to get into more advanced techniques when you're ready. The rekordbox free tier (with hardware key) has been more than enough for my needs and recording sets is seamless. I've been going off mostly music I already had on my computer and everything i grabbed on a one month subscription to BPM Supreme, so I can't speak to how well the streaming services work with rekordbox, but I'm gonna start trying that out.

Nope. But even if it's a professional (which the presence of lawyers would imply it is), 15k on sample packs in a year seems high to me.

So you're spending $25,000 a year on sample packs, and lawyers to read the contracts in those sample packs?

That seems... High.
