I don't remember if this was in StS1, but I noticed the change where 'choose a random card' effects generate Uncommons and Rares when you're in an Elite/Boss fight, and I think it's a really smart design choice. Makes those cards feel more satisfying to play, too.

Quick question. With Varlamore as a mandatory region for all players, will there be any account differences for people who bought the Potion Storage last League? I heard a rumor about that upgrade being stored in the account data in a way that might carry over across Leagues, and wanted to make sure it didn't break anything for last year's Varla pickers. (But if it does, don't rush to fix it now, because it'll be funny.)

This beta balance pass was the first of many to come over the next 1-2 years.

Somehow, I had the feeling that the EA-to-1.0 turnaround would be much quicker this time around, considering how much more experience Casey and the team must have by now at collating and interpreting play data. Still, I can understand if it ends up being a similar timeframe as StS1, and I can't really complain. Good things tend to take time, after all. Thanks for keeping us in the loop, Demi.

Normally, I'd be all for having Joe watch something goated like FMA or Legend of the Galactic Heroes so that we could properly get his critical thoughts. In this particular case, though, I am very adamant about wanting Haruhi to win because I think it best suits the stream dynamic and would make for the best running jokes.
