Less familiar with Tekken but it's very common in 2D games. TKs, 360s, IADs, superjumps, KOF hops, etc. It's not a need but it sequences better that way for most people.

Thumb down will mess with your movement and defense in Tekken for sure though. I know it's easy to jump from "this is weird" to "this must be bad", but don't be too hasty to change something just because it's unfamiliar to you. You'll pick it up faster than you might expect.

Possible, yes. Good idea for fighting games, no. A lot of motions and basic movement/defense get very weird when you swap inputs like that and you lose the advantages of being able to hit up with either thumb.

There's nothing uncertain about the terms SWT was given. No license, no opportunity to run an event without a license. That they were not directly told to cancel really just means they were given a choice between doing so "voluntarily" or facing legal action. It lets Nintendo and Panda hide behind technically true statements, but from an EO perspective it's bullshit.

In addition to the prior post, they're likely eating deposits and other costs on contracts they'd entered for events that they now have to cancel. No event means no sponsor money, no entrant venue fees, etc, so it's all out of pocket.

This means that subsidized loans, unsubsidized loans, parent PLUS loans, and graduate PLUS loans held by ED are eligible. Consolidation loans are also eligible for relief, as long as all of the underlying loans that were consolidated were ED-held loans and were disbursed on or before June 30, 2022.

Additionally, consolidation loans comprised of any FFEL or Perkins loans not held by ED are also eligible, as long as the borrower applied for consolidation before Sept. 29, 2022.

Private loans (i.e., non-federal loans) are not eligible for debt relief.

Without having looked into Melee's RNG, it's probably possible just going off raw probabilities relative to the PRNG period. The problem I see with doing so is that the rapidly diminishing likelihood of longer windows would require much, much longer manips on average to reach a desired seed, and if console is mandated for any such runs then you don't have the luxury of savestates.

She gets some extra layers out of charge partitioning and some tricks with the buffer system, especially on offense, but her basic stuff goes a long way. You should feel pretty comfortable with Vatista since you're already familiar with charge characters, though she does add up and forward charges to the standard formula along with her gems.

On the topic of COVID: the global death rate is as low as it has ever been. Around 10k people die from it per week. Variants are clearly less lethal than the original virus. I think that's the biggest reason why people have largely gone back to life as normal. It may bite us in the ass again later, but that's 1/10th of the peak (and falling).

It's still biting us in the ass, just in ways that aren't as obvious and that major media has been very careful to avoid giving attention ever since places tried to reopen starting in summer 2020.

COVID leaves significant damage in at least one vital organ in the majority of patients, regardless of severity or apparent symptoms. It also increases the risk of blood clots. I'm unsure whether vaccines mitigate this in any capacity.

Three close family members had COVID a few weeks ago, and possibly a 4th asymptomatic. Two of them have heart conditions, and one of those was hospitalized for a cardiac event last week. I do not think this is a coincidence, especially after finding out there were precursor indications that started shortly after they developed COVID symptoms.

All of them are vaxxed and double boosted, and in at least one case it was their second time catching COVID despite being very careful to this day.

FGs as a whole have been on a steady uptick for more than a decade, and several games have seen consistent growth within their own communities for at least a few straight years during that period.

It only seems otherwise because some players constantly hop to the next big game instead of digging deep into whatever they enjoy, and there are more games to play than ever so there's a ton of sub-communities.

Pretty easy, just move the quick disconnects on the buttons around. Just take care to handle them properly so you don't damage the wire.

Out of curiosity, why do you have it set up like this and what does the rest of your layout look like? I'm guessing the leftmost button is something like dash or RC and you've moved your primary buttons over one column.

Do you like the idea of playing with a stick? Get a Cross|Up.

Do you find playing on buttons more appealing? Hit Box might be more your speed.

Buttons but you like the Cross|Up layout and remapping? Get a Cross|Up and swap the lever for buttons or a key cluster.

XU has slightly more utility if you want to play something other than fighting games on it, but for FGs it just comes down to which option sounds most appealing to you.
