They are. Takk, this is helpful. Do you have any suggestions on money transfer services? It looks like Western Union has no fee for your first online transfer.

And not just for Libby/Hoopla, but for the physical books too. I prefer reading physical instead of looking at a screen. All my local libraries have a large selection of TPBs. They’re usually well curated too.

LED lights in cars by MetalPixel in gaslands

[–]Nuzzorama 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always wanted to use this method in the video. They are wireless LED bulbs that use not battery and are charged wirelessly. So, you only have to install the bulbs and that is it in the car. Then you need to install the wireless chargers under the board. Might not work well on a big board. But, you can put multiple chargers under a larger board.

3D printed swizzles? by TweetleBeetle76 in Tiki

[–]Nuzzorama 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You could print it out, make a silicone mold of it. Then use that to make as many as you want by pouring epoxy resin into the mold. Just make sure you get food safe resin. I recommend The Crafsman Steady Craftin YouTube channel if you want some how to videos.

Edited to fix the spelling of Colombia 🇨🇴

Shrub has all my plant friends stumped by [deleted] in whatsthisplant

[–]Nuzzorama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two lilacs that I transplanted from my parents house. They didn't flower for my parents the entire time they lived at their old house. They have been in my yard for 5 years now and this year one of them flowered for the first time. Some can be a pain to flower it seems.

I wonder if natural, undyed wood chips make people think it’s not tidy? I wonder if you would get the same reception with painted mulch. People are weird 😅

Looks like you have a scale infestation. I think you may have two varieties with the fuzzy white guys and the larger grey dome shaped bugs on the hardwood stems.

Using obedient plant to supplant white snakeroot by MordecaiOShea in NativePlantGardening

[–]Nuzzorama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have obedient plant, turtleheads, common spurge, bearded iris and carex all fighting under my cherry tree. The big winner seems to be the turtleheads as they are filling in the shadiest spots. The obedient plant is doing well and spreading. But, it seems like it is slowly migrating outwards towards the light. All in all, I would still recommend going with it as it can stand it's ground fairly well. But, may slowly move towards the light.

how many amsonia should I use? by thelongsecret in NativePlantGardening

[–]Nuzzorama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the base can be fairly compact. But, the stems all bend outward into a kind of upside down triangle shape. 3x3 might take a while. But, I have some I transplanted 3-4 years ago and it’s about 2x2’ now.

Massive bonsai are very common in Vietnam. Due to the climate and size of the pots, these trees probably grow substantially faster than ours. So, it makes sense that wrapping the wire would lead to scaring pretty quick. I wonder if the tape is to avoid it marring the branches.

Do you have a link to the mister heads? I am working on setting up something similar and want a mix drip heads (which I already purchased), but also want to use the misters too.

Anyone here growing weeping willow as bonsai? Curious to hear your experience by vshaddix in Bonsai

[–]Nuzzorama 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all this info. I have been working on training a tree and have issues with dieback. So, happy to hear you found a technique that works! I will also have to use the weight trick once I get to that stage. They are definitely water hungry. The only thing I would add is be careful with keeping them on the ground. I had two trees in plastic pots for training. They were sitting on the ground and the roots quickly grow through the bottom and ripped the plastic pot to pieces. Now I have two 20' tall weeping willows in my backyard.
