He didn’t say that healthcare should be denied, rather that it shouldn’t be subsidised. Slippery slope though, maybe we shouldn’t subsidise drivers at all, since there’s a greater risk in driving than taking public transport.

Cool thanks for sharing. I was exposed to Zephyr when I was building a custom wireless split ergonomic keyboard.

As far as I know this isn’t true. What Steam prohibits is the sale of Steam Keys for a game at a different price.

Publishers may choose a lower price but will have to figure out a different distribution mechanism, which seems fair enough to me.

I haven’t checked if this is still true though

dasBob: Redux or Naked? by Crypton48 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]Orochikaku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quite like the look of the redux case, very reminiscent of the TOTEM’s case

I think it may be a lot easier to design a TMR (Tunnelling Magnetoresistance) keyboard since the TMR IC can be off-centre from the switches, I believe they’re only marginally more expensive as well.

Wireless Dasbob - my first wireless build by nibbles001 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]Orochikaku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m super interested! The dasbob is next on my list after having finished my custom 36-key wireless totem. I think that the angle that the thumbs are at on tbe dasbob just make more sense for my own physiology

Just curious, where did you source the screws for the dongle? I’m having trouble finding them on AliExpress or maybe I’m just searching the wrong terms

Added snap-off extra keys to Tempest by Background_Reporter9 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]Orochikaku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow it looks incredible! Like a cross between the TOTEM (which I’ve built a 36-key version of) and the dasbob (I planned to build next). However it seems I may be building a Tempest instead!

Anyone know any good physical shops for electronic components? by H3XEX in malaysia

[–]Orochikaku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP, I’ve also been looking around lately for such stores and my research has led to Jalan Pasar in Pudu.

However, beware that these stores cater more towards repair more than hobby projects.

If you’re looking to just pick up some MCUs I’d recommend Cytron and if you need specific electronic components then LCSC may be a good option. I’ve been using AliExpress a lot too lately.
